Dr. Kowalczyk was rude and she suggested unhealthy habits as ways people have successfully conceived and shared them in a positive light and things we could do to increase chances. Toxic

This place is an absolute disappointment. The front desk staff was always very pleasant but that’s probably where the positive feedback ends. Good luck everyone meeting the actual Dr who is supposed to be so amazing. I did multiple rounds of IUI and never once met or even spoke with an actual Dr. it was all nurses. They treated me as “just a typical patient” instead of actually listening to me when I told them how my cycle works. They would schedule days for me to come in for my IUI and I would ask them if that seems right because according to my calendar, my window is closed by then. The IUI procedure every time was extremely painful. It hurt so bad and did not seem right to me that it was so painful. The last IUI there it took a very long time to get it done. It seemed like the nurses first day. After failed attempts, they finally said “yes you know what? You’re right let’s change your day” which seemed very alarming to me and left me with a feeling of “do you even know what the heck you’re doing?” Nothing was changed from round to round. I brought up possibly having endometriosis and it was brushed off. At that point I was done and reached out to another office. They got me in right away and I met with the Dr on my first visit for my consultation. We did one round of IUI that failed. However, it was absolutely painless. I had to ask the Dr if she even did it already because I couldn’t tell.. She immediately brought up being biopsied for endometriosis at that point. My results came back positive. I had my endo surgery in April and 2 months later I am now pregnant by natural conception. Don’t waste your money or your time here. They literally don’t care and just take your money and send you on your way.

I must start by saying the front desk staff and Becky whom did nearly all of my blood draws are absolutely fantastic, however that’s unfortunately the only positive thing I can say about this clinic! Best of luck ever seeing the “famously renowned” Dr. K and good luck seeing her “assistant” Nicole unless you specifically ask for an appointment after many failed attempts and zero amendments to your plan or medications. All ultrasounds are harsh to say the least and not very positive. All IUI are not done with guided ultrasound and by a nurse, which our first was great and the following attempts seemed to be their first day on the job! If you’re slightly over weight or obese they won’t treat you they rather want you to loose weight, as that’s seen as the only and biggest problem. I was diagnosed with PCOS by my OBGYN and primary care doctor, only to be completely ignored and again weight was the issue at hand. Be warned that if you’re only going through IUI or starting there at least, be aware you’re going to feel like you’ve fallen to the bottom of pile, because IVF patients clearly come first at this clinic; huge red flag, but no surprise that the “big money makers” are treated better and come first, as many times we were told that our appointment time was behind, because “it’s IVF time” and “there are a lot of IVF patients ahead of you and we’re slightly backed up”. Sorry that spending several thousand makes my infertility less significant…Sorry that’s just chump change after all, right?! You’ll have to contact them when they promise to call by a certain time with your results and they don’t. You’ll have to schedule your own specialty pharmacy orders for time sensitive medications, because they can’t be bothered? You’ll pay everything upfront with or without insurance, as if they don’t trust you to pay after an appointment or procedure?! You’ll have to find your own urologist, as the guy they recommend is always booked or not available at certain clinics….the list goes on and on. DO NOT COME HERE! The only positive reviews are lies or maybe their priority IVF patients, wouldn’t know because I refuse to pay them any more money for false hope! False hope is all you’re left with and we took a break (mentally and financially draining) and one would think they may reach out to see if all is ok…NO, we were not IVF patients, so clearly didn’t register to them. This clinic is money hungry and of the opinion that if their lackluster/basic/same treatment plan for all works, then great and if not, oh well there’s always another sucker to try and/or another IVF patient willing to drop bigger money! NO THANK YOU! We have found a FABULOUS new clinic and will tell everyone we know dealing with fertility issues to steer clear of Michigan Center for Fertility and Women’s Health!!!

Two and a half years ago, I was diagnosed with infertility. As a woman, it’s hard to comprehend because you feel as if something is wrong with you. I sat in the parking lot for 10 minutes, nervous to walk in and thinking I would be judged for having issues becoming pregnant on my own. I was worried I would be seen as just a number, rather than a human being. From the moment I walked into the clinic, I was welcomed with open arms, and was treated like I was a part of the family. Between the blood work, ultra sounds, surgeries, procedures, these women held my hand and hugged me through the times I wanted to give up. They went as far as to call me when they found out my one embryo had survived during PGTA testing and we’re all cheering on the phone for me. If you are looking for women who will support you through your process, then this is the clinic to go through. I can’t thank all these women and Dr. K enough for the amount of care and compassion they have given me throughout my journey.
