Ovarian Reserve Calculator: Understand Your AMH & FSH Levels
Receiving fertility test results can be confusing. Numbers alone don't tell the whole story. Our Ovarian Reserve Calculator helps you decode your AMH (Anti-Müllerian Hormone) and FSH levels to understand your biological clock and make informed decisions about your reproductive future.

How to Interpret Your Results
Understanding AMH (Anti-Müllerian Hormone)
AMH is produced by the follicles in your ovaries and is currently the most reliable marker of your ovarian reserve (egg count).
- Normal Levels: Suggest a good reserve of eggs for your age.
- Low Levels: Indicate a reduced egg supply. This is a natural part of aging but may signal a shorter fertility window.
- High Levels: While a high reserve is good, excessively high AMH can sometimes indicate Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS).
Understanding FSH (Follicle Stimulating Hormone)
FSH stimulates your ovaries to release an egg.
- Low/Normal FSH: Your body is functioning efficiently.
- High FSH: Often means your brain has to work "harder" to stimulate the ovaries, suggesting a lower ovarian reserve.
Note: FSH should ideally be tested on Day 3 of your cycle.

| < 30 | < 1.5 ng/mL | 1.5 – 2.9 ng/mL | 3.0 – 5.0 ng/mL | > 5.0 ng/mL |
| 30 – 34 | < 1.0 ng/mL | 1.0 – 2.4 ng/mL | 2.5 – 4.5 ng/mL | > 4.5 ng/mL |
| 35 – 37 | < 0.7 ng/mL | 0.7 – 1.4 ng/mL | 1.5 – 3.5 ng/mL | > 3.5 ng/mL |
| 38 – 40 | < 0.4 ng/mL | 0.4 – 0.9 ng/mL | 1.0 – 2.5 ng/mL | > 3.0 ng/mL |
| 41 – 45 | < 0.2 ng/mL | 0.2 – 0.4 ng/mL | 0.5 – 1.5 ng/mL | > 2.0 ng/mL |
| > 45 | < 0.1 ng/mL | < 0.3 ng/mL | > 0.3 ng/mL | N/A |
Note: Data derived from Seifer et al., 2011 "Age-specific serum AMH values for 17,120 women" adjusted for clinical simplified tiers.
Does a "Low Reserve" Mean I Can't Get Pregnant?
No. This is a common misconception. "Low reserve" refers to the quantity of eggs remaining, not necessarily their quality. Many women with low AMH conceive naturally. However, if you need IVF, knowing this status helps doctors choose the right stimulation protocol for you.
