Why choose The Fertility & Gynaecology Academy?

  • check_circle Expert Immunology Leadership

Dr. Amin Gorgy is repeatedly recognized as a specialist in reproductive immunology who identifies hidden causes of IVF failure, such as high NK cells, and designs targeted therapies. • check_circle Compassionate, Responsive Staff

Team members including Kyrillos, Courtney, Sadaf and the nursing crew are described as kind, attentive and quick to answer queries. Their personal support, from urgent prescription refills to emotional reassurance, creates a caring environment throughout treatment.

Numerous accounts detail successful pregnancies after previous IVF failures, especially when immunotherapy was applied. The clinic’s ability to achieve live births in challenging scenarios is highlighted as a key strength.

  • check_circle Clear Communication and Quick Follow‑up

What to watch out for at The Fertility & Gynaecology Academy?

  • warning Inconsistent Pricing and Billing

Several patients report charges that exceed advertised rates, unexpected fees for blood tests, and lack of transparent cost breakdowns. This has led to distrust and concerns about financial transparency.

  • warning Medication Mismatches

A few individuals experienced prescriptions that were later deemed unsuitable, with insufficient explanation of drug choice or potential effects, resulting in wasted expense and disappointment.

  • warning Administrative Delays

Complaints include long waiting times for appointments, delayed test results, and poor follow‑up on refunds or documentation requests, causing stress and additional effort for patients.

  • warning Variable Empathy from Clinicians

While many staff are praised for compassion, some patients felt a lack of empathy or robotic interaction during consultations, particularly when discussing sensitive fertility issues.

  • warning Technical Issues with Virtual Visits

Remote consultations have suffered from audio/video freezes and incomplete answers to clinical questions, leaving patients uncertain about treatment recommendations.

After receiving some inaccurate guidance from a local clinic in Newcastle, we carried out extensive research and discovered the Fertility Academy — and we are endlessly thankful that we did. I previously underwent treatment for testicular cancer, and we had been told that ICSI would be necessary for us to conceive. From the moment we stepped into the clinic, the calm, welcoming environment and the warm, supportive staff immediately put us at ease. Dr. Gorgy and Dr Kale were incredibly thorough and made us feel comfortable from our very first appointment. Throughout our entire journey, we felt fully supported, and it was clear that our IVF plan was carefully tailored to our unique situation. Harriet and Prerna from the nursing team were exceptional. They consistently went above and beyond, and their kindness and dedication made the whole process so much smoother. We truly can’t thank them enough. Our gratitude also extends to the embryology team — Mohsen, Omnia, Lisa, and Kyrillos — for their remarkable expertise and the creation of six wonderful embryos in their state-of-the-art laboratory. They guided us through every step with clear explanations and genuine care. A special thank you goes to Kyrillos, who took the lead throughout and created our beautiful 5AA embryo. To the entire team: thank you for everything. We couldn’t recommend you more highly.

After some misguidance from a clinic close to home in Newcastle and after lots of research, we found the Fertility Academy and we are forever grateful that we did. My husband had testicular cancer a few years ago and we were told we would need to do ICSI to conceive. The clinic has a lovely relaxed feel to it as soon as you enter, the whole team are very helpful and friendly. Doctor Gorgy and Doctor Kale made us feel relaxed at our first appointment and on our whole journey. We instantly felt comfortable and confident with them and the IVF was tailored to our individual needs. Harriet and Prerna from the nursing team were also absolutely amazing, they went above and beyond and nothing was too much trouble for them. Without them both I don’t think our journey would have been so straight forward. We are extremely grateful for everything they have done for us. We would also like to thank the embryology team - Mohsen, Omnia, Lisa and Kyrillos for their outstanding skills and for creating 6 beautiful embryos in their state of the art lab facility. They were extremely helpful during each stage and explained everything in great detail. We would like to say a special thank you to Kyrillos who took the lead from start to finish for us and created our beautiful 5AA grade embryo. A huge thank you to you all for everything, we couldn’t recommend you all highly enough.

Without Dr. Gorgy, we would not have been able to carry our beautiful daughter to full term. His thorough investigations go far beyond what any other doctor in London offers—no stone is left unturned. I found him to be very pleasant, compassionate, and accommodating throughout the entire process. It was also easy to get appointments whenever we needed them, which made such a difference during a stressful time. I would wholeheartedly recommend anyone who unfortunately finds themselves in need to go and see him. His expertise and care truly changed our lives.

I highly recommend FGA. After a long and negative experience at a different clinic, I decided to try FGA and it was the best decision I made. Dr Gorgy is extremely thorough and a true expert in his field. The IVF was tailored to my individual needs, and not a one size fits all approach. The nurses are simply wonderful and the lab team is also great. The first attempt was successful and I now have my healthy 2 month old. I have dealt with various Drs and nurses during my fertility journey, but FGA is the first place where I heard "when" you get pregnant and not "if". FGA is a place of positivity which I found really helpful as fertility treatment is already stressful. I am truly grateful to the whole team.

Dr. GORGY is not part of this category of practitioners who want to provide you with help and serious care. He is neither ethical nor has any code of ethics and, above all, he has absolutely no respect for the couples he sees. He uses and abuses the suffering of couples due to their vulnerability in the face of their desire to start a family. This so-called "wise" professional in the field of infertility is nothing more than there to do business, take your money and not give any further news. He is also a dangerous practitioner because he offers medications in a completely random and unsupervised manner (Hydroxychloroquine in my case) just to meet expectations regarding the proper reception of a protocol initially announced as being personalized. We are far from the promises and commitments indicated on their website. This, in my opinion, amounts to false advertising. For our part, the medical file was not read at all (I actually asked him the question... he didn't dare answer it the first time during the paid teleconsultation, then I insisted a second time to find out if he had read the medical elements of our file. This time, he replied to tell us that there were far too many documents...). How can this doctor offer you help on a 14-year journey of infertility without even reading the slightest medical information in your file. After having repeatedly followed up with the clinic regarding the delivery of our protocol, we finally received an email with the simple indication of taking Hydroxychloroquine. Period. No medical framework to govern this medication intake was established, no medical verification of my state of health in order to check if this medication was compatible with my state of health... None of that. So I asked for a more complete and personalized protocol regarding our common immunological problem. Nothing. My husband and I finally decided to ask for a refund because we are talking about an amount of around 400 euros for not receiving any protocol in the end. All my requests for reimbursement were rejected. Each time I called, I was entitled to an interlocutor who hung up on me as soon as I introduced myself or to a deliberately prolonged hold so that I would end up hanging up (which I ended up doing given the cost of calls to London from France). After extensive research on the internet, I was able to see that we were not the only couple to have been abused and we will not be the last since if your case is deemed too complex, the clinic will have to offer you a perfectly rehearsed strategy: from the free 10-minute call to the teleconsultation of several hundred euros, only to end up with all the commitments listed on the website not being respected: no protocol, no structured and serious support but above all a blatant disregard for the distress of all these couples they say they want to help. My lawyer in France has reported Dr. GORGY to the Order of Physicians and we are not going to stop there because we are going to start legal proceedings against his clinic since no amicable resolution has been possible.
