Best Endometriosis center with a nice and calm atmosphere with transparent costs and good communication. However, doctors are overworked and waiting times are long.

This is the best center for Endometriosis I have been at. Dr. Weise takes your concerns seriously, and tries super hard to give you as many answers and posibilities as possible. I am super happy I found this place and can trust the team. All nurses are super nice, and speak at least a basic level of English. The costs of the treatments is very transparent. The place itself is calm, and the lights are very much autistic friendly. I am not giving five stars because, as usual in Germany, doctors are overworked and the waiting times have been sometimes of an hour. However, that is the only negative.

I have carefully waited to finish a round of treatment in a different clinic before writing this review, to have a better ability to compare. As a sad summary, I regret to have spent my time, effort and funds in the clinic. These could have been invested elsewhere, with much better results. In general, it is important to be aware that IVF in Germany is lagging behind. After my failed experience with the clinic, I consulted with about 5 fertility experts in two different countries with advanced fertility medicine, and learned, a.o, that the protocol could have been better with just one/two *small* adjustments, with negligible to no risk or cost for me. I asked explicitly my doctor about this, and she said that "there is no scientific evidence supporting this being beneficial". But if there is no risk, why not try?! Every other doctor said they would attempt this means of increasing the oocyte yield without batting an eyelash. I truly do not get it. Further notes: *More specifically, in my case, my treatment was biased by the measure of one hormone, and every time a scan showed unpromising results, the reply was "your AMH level is low"/"that is to be expected based on…" and some variation thereof. I found that highly unprofessional, as a self fullfilling profecy. This is not how medicine should be, especially as I ended up with less than a sixth yield of oocytes as was predicted BY THEM at the beginning. **Another problematic aspect is the number of monitorings during a cycle. Again, each doctor I consulted with was surprised there was only ONE monitoring scan at kinderwunschteam. As a reply, my doctor at kinderwunschteam said that "it would not have made a different anyway". [but it did cut their costs, which made the treatment at this clinic to appear more affordable, and hence, attractive]. On the human level, I felt that the team could care less about obtaining good results, optimising the yield, explaining the poor results, and communicating in general (unless it was about sending bills). Now for some good news: despite the pain and grief over round 1 in kinderwunschteam, and being made to feel this is indeed what I am to expect if I tried again, I did try again -- abroad. My experience was as different as night and day... E.g. 1. I had SIX monitoring sessions (scan + blood tests). Each oocyte had the best chance to grow and develop in order to optimize maturity, instead of saying "it would not have made a defference" (KWT Berlin). Factually wrong. 2. I started stimulation not by the book, but on a day optimal with regards to my follicle count. Knowing the material and not being conservative and complescent does help. Anecdote: the protocol I got at kinderwunschteam was the same as I got from ChatGPT... 3. I was given pills instead of an injection in one case (cheaper and less intrusive). 4. I had a highly professional doctor explaining everything scientifically and thoroughly. 5. No one ever gave me the feeling I am somehow lacking and doomed to fail due to a number on a sheet of paper (importnt a predictor as it may be). They focused rather on the number of follicles. 6. I obtained 8.5 (!) times the # of oocytes. Needless to say, I was astonished, as I was (emotionally) expecting the worst again, despite the objectively good scans. This is how hopeless my experience at kinderwunschteam left me. Important to note: of course, I did get some insights from the failed attempt at kinderwunschteam, which helped in the next try; however, this was not the main reason why my next try was extremely more successful, and I say that as a researcher and scientist myself. All suggstions made by other doctors were made independantly of the insights I have obtained from my previous attempt. I hope someone reads this (long) review and decides for somewherw else - preferably outside of Germany, if possible. Good luck to all

I recently went to the practice for social freezing on the recommendation of a friend. First to the positive points: - Quick appointment finding - The process was very pragmatic and uncomplicated - The staff is generally friendly What I didn't like: - You tend to be left alone with the treatment (examples: information about taking medication is sometimes only available upon request, only one ultrasound to check the progress of the eggs, no proper preparation for the procedure (duration/what to bring, etc.) - The procedure for me was unsuccessful, i.e. no mature egg could be removed and I have been waiting for information / a follow-up discussion about this for a week. The doctor wanted to get in touch that same day but didn't do so. Even after multiple requests to call me back, no one got back to me. - Given the fact that this is a privately paid service and a personal, emotional issue, I found the patient care to be unprofessional and highly insensitive. You get the impression that everything related to acquisition and billing is handled extremely quickly, while non-billable patient care is given a small name. I have been ignored by phone and email for a week and would really like to know the possible reasons for the failed treatment and possible next steps for me.
