Harley Street Fertility Clinic – Reviews and Prices

My Hycosy treatment went very well at Harley Street. The only downside was after paying £550 it was a shame my partner was not aloud to come in the room with me for support had I have been given any bad news. Fortunately my results was ok. Otherwise a nice place.

I cannot thank the staff and doctors who help us with this journey. Always responsive, kind and patient and care for time and wellbeing of their patients. I cannot name everyone there but specifically I want to that Dr.Verstraete, Dr. Zidane, Dr. Venkat and Poonam Shah for all their kindness, knowledge and help. I would recommend this clinic to whoever wants a result but also a professional experience.

In September 2023 I started my first round of IVF treatment at this clinic based on a recommendation from an acquaintance. My first impression of the waiting room should have told me all I needed to know as the carpets and couches were stained and dirty. The area feels very makeshift and unprofessional with boxes from delivery in the walkway for clients to bump into. I didn’t go with my gut and overlooked this and was assigned Dr Venkat. I found that the Doctor isn’t too forthcoming with information and relies on you to tell her what treatment you want. You can’t discuss pricing at all with the Doctor which means they don’t take into account all aspects of your situation and what the best treatment options are.
The clinic invoices you as you go along and very often get this wrong. You had to constantly chase and when you were at you most vulnerable and anxious the night before an egg extraction, chase you for funds which you have already paid. There were so many administrative errors that it leaves little faith in the other departments performing well in the business.

The nurses that take your blood tests are really great and I can’t fault their customer service.

They have an inhouse pharmacy which on some medications is an 80% mark up compared to ASDA Pharmacy. These kind of mark ups are very unjustified. You need to remember that this is a business and they very much run it like one praying on the already desperate woman that come to them. Following my first unsuccessful treatment, I changed clinics and am now pregnant with twins. I would not recommend this clinic for your treatment and urge you to meet with a few London clinics, meet the doctors and staff before you decide. Always follow your intuition!

From start to finish I cannot thank all the amazing people for their support, encouragement and positivity in what can be a stressful journey at times. I chose Harley Street as I had heard wonderful things about their success rates and supporting women to start a family no matter what their personal circumstances are. Harley Street will always hold a very special place in my heart and my daughter will definitely know all about the miracle workers who made her just for me. I am forever thankful and would definitely recommend them time and time again!

We are so grateful to Dr Venkat and her team for advising us and administering treatment with care and compassion, which led to a successful pregnancy and birth of our baby at the start of 2025.

Fertility treatment is a physical, emotional, financial and time commitment. The numerous consultations, tests, scans, procedures and medication was a challenging experience to go through at the time. Communication from the clinic was mainly good though there were a few instances where we had to chase for information. The clinic was able to schedule appointments to our convenience most of the time. A couple of errors were made with invoicing. However, our queries were always listened to and resolved quickly.

Following an initial consultation in November 2022 we had three unsuccessful rounds of treatment. Each time Dr Venkat expertly advised us on the next step to improve our chances. We are so glad we followed her advice on our personalised treatment plan. Dr Venkat and her team shared in our disappointments of unsuccessful rounds of treatment and equally celebrated with us on our successful fourth attempt.

We are so thankful to HSFC for helping us bring a baby into our family.

I found HSFC to be medically negligent, and I have made complaints to relevant authorities.

At the start of the process, I was told that I would be warned if I was at risk of OHSS. I was not, and then suffered badly from both OHSS and internal bleeding from the procedure. I was in extreme pain, was treated overnight in A&E, and had to take 2 weeks off work. When I told the clinic, they dismissed me, saying “no, that can’t be right” and insufficiently supported in aftercare.

My complaints since have been poorly and insensitively handled.

ADDITION TO REACT TO HARLEY ST RESPONSE: I can confirm that the aftercare was negligent – a diagnosis shared by Chelsea & Westminster A&E, where I was admitted after receiving no care from Harley St

I asked for a refund to help to cover the cost of missing 2 weeks of work for me and my partner (who had to look after me while I was throwing up 4-5x a day) and was flatly denied without much engagement except ‘we have looked into the care, our internal investigation deemed it sufficient’

Their service is so good
Every person including receptionist, nurses, pharmacist are so kind and good nature.
Specially Dr.Venkat she is the best doctor i’ve ever met.

I’m so grateful to this clinic for their dedication and compassion. They’ve been with us every step of the way, and I couldn’t ask for better care.
