Dear Aradhna, Thank you for sharing your review with Gynem, we are really sorry to hear that you had this experience. We understand that when someone is a patient for several years under the same coordinator, it can be challenging to have a change in coordinator. Over several years, a patient creates a good relationship with their coordinator who of course knows all the details of their case and history. When a different coordinator takes over, no matter how experienced they are, they may have a different approach or communication style. Hana is a very experienced coordinator who is well-liked by patients and is a valuable member of our team. On the day of your transfer, there were six patients having embryo transfers. Unfortunately due to last minute schedule changes, we only had one doctor available in the clinic on that particular day. We understand that waiting for an hour with a full bladder might be uncomfortable, however this is a relatively normal waiting time for a transfer. Having a full bladder increases the chance of a successful transfer. There were indeed some mistakes on the report for post-transfer medication. We apologise for that, and would like to reassure you that although mistakes may sometimes happen, they are very rare. Each patient has a personal coordinator who checks the report with the patient directly after any appointment and makes sure all the information is clear. It is also so that, as in your case, any mistakes are picked up and corrected. A small amount of bleeding can happen during or after embryo transfer. The surface of the cervix might be, at this stage, more engorged with blood and it is possible it gets scratched with the end of the catheter. Given the fact that the bleeding is only on the surface of the cervix, it doesn’t have any impact on the outcome of the embryo transfer. Dr. Mrazek is the clinic’s founder and he is semi-retired. He consults on complicated cases and occasionally covers if a doctor is on holiday for example. He no longer takes on patients. Dear Zarko, Thank you for sharing your experience with Gynem. We are really sorry about the result of your treatment and that you were not satisfied with our services, which affected your overall impression of our clinic. Our coordinators are trying to make the stay of our patients in Prague stress free, therefore ideally your assigned personal coordinator should assist you throughout the whole process. To feel as comfortable as possible, your personal coordinator asked Linda, our Serbian speaking coordinator, to assist during your stay in Prague while on leave. The Easter period is very busy, since most of patients prefer to use the vacation to come to Prague. Linda is one of our senior coordinators and her monthly capacity was full, but she agreed to help you in the second half of your stay to enable you to speak your native language. Linda answered your emails on daily basis. You got an update regarding the development of your embryos even on Saturday. On Sunday the clinic is closed, so there is no update and our coordinators do not work. Before Covid, it would have been a standard to shake hands each visit at the clinic. Due to the pandemic, we have tightened preventive measures. Greeting the patient this way each visit a sign of respect. With most of the patients it is also an opportunity to laugh and to break the nervousness on the side of patient connected to their treatment abroad. Furthermore, Linda did not forget to book the taxi for you, she was expecting your hotel and flight details. Since a different email address was used, your email ended up in spam. Most of our patients go to their hotel and take a nap after the general anesthetics. When the end of our opening hours was approaching, she planned to call you, but in the meantime everything was settled by Richard. We are disappointed that you did not have a good impression of Dr. Bartošová during your appointment. Since we are a medical facility, we wear masks. It is difficult to indicate that anyone is smiling. All our doctors are IVF specialists. In the end, our goal is the same = your treatment to be successful. We have evaluated your case again and nothing would have been changed on your protocol. Given your IVF history, the doctor used the same protocol since you had a good reaction. Furthermore, your dose prescribed is already the maximum dose recommended by ESHRE. You always have a chance to discuss the type of treatment as well as protocol. In the end, the doctor creates the protocol, but does not exceed the recommended dose since your health is our priority. Once again, we would like to say how genuinely sorry we are about your situation. We have carefully reviewed each stage of your treatment and we haven’t been able to pinpoint any mistakes on our part. Of course, personal impression is subjective and difficult to evaluate. We believe that our team performs their duties and responsibilities with the utmost care, professionalism and personal integrity. Cultural differences might be behind it. Once again, we have a common goal. We would appreciate you informing us on what false information you found on internet.
