Good evening! I also arrived at the Genesis Athens clinic, I confirm that appointments are not respected, as other people have written. I arrived at the appointment time and the reception was full of women who were only waiting for Dr. Andreas. At least 20 women were ahead of me at the time of my appointment. I crossed myself! For example, I waited 2 hours more. 2 hours and something. This is to give you an idea of how much time the doctor allocates for a consultation and ultrasound per woman. 2h ÷ 20 = 6 minutes with approximation. No one bothers to announce that the schedule is delayed, which is great!

Doctor Andreas has good energy, he’s cheerful, the office is nice, it’s full of pictures from his lordship’s wedding, which seems a little bizarre to me. Returning to the quality of services, everything happens quickly. He doesn’t give you the impression that he is attentive or professional. I came with a series of analyzes to interpret and I did not receive any feedback. “The analyzes are quite ok, but we still need to” I understood everything. Nurse colleagues, in tune with the described landscape, very tired and busy on the phone in the offices. At the end of the intense 6 minutes of research, analysis results + echo + consultation, I woke up with a payment receipt under the conditions that my colleagues, when they called me to make an appointment, told me that there would be a free consultation and ultrasound. That’s exactly what I did. A consultation and ultrasound. At the ultrasound, it seemed very suspicious to me that the condom was already on the endovaginal probe. I hope it hasn’t been forgotten since the last patient. It is certain that, wherever I have been, the condom is placed on the probe in front of me. As security. I will pray to all the Saints that it was just a nice colleague who also prepared the endovaginal probe before the consultation. I’ll keep you posted, I’ll find out soon.

In conclusion, I can say that Dr. Andreas is very nice, answers questions, has a good vibe, BUT he would have much more to gain if he focused on the quality of consultations and not on their quantity. It’s impossible to be efficient when you’re congested like this. When you consult 20 women with infertility problems in 2 hours.

Health and lots of growth!

My experience in this clinic was a beautiful one, full of emotions, after 14 years of sacrifices, Dr. Andreas promised me that I would also become a mother 🙏 the attempt was not an easy one of course, I got pregnant from the first transfer with 2 beautiful embryos, which lasted 22 weeks in my belly, they were the most beautiful 5 months of my life until 3 days ago, the cervix did not open and I lost the babies 🥺. I trust in God, I trust in this wonderful clinic, and YES I will succeed because 2 other beautiful embryos are waiting for me! Moms who have gone through something similar to me, do not lose hope, move on even if it is painful, this is how we learn to be much stronger 🙏

I am totally disappointed. I am terribly sorry that I started the IVF procedure at this hospital, in addition to the fact that you wait for hours to enter the office, the ladies at the reception do not announce the delay or if the doctor is in intervention and it is not known how long you wait. You feel like in a state hospital, no one pays you any attention in the conditions where hundreds of millions are paid for IVF. It’s not an appointment so I’m amazed by the reception ladies, they have no idea if the doctor has come or not, they’re only there to take our money. You don’t even deserve that star.

I had one of the most insulting and humiliating experiences at the Genesis clinic in Athens, especially with Dr. Vythoulkas. This is without a doubt the biggest rip off I have ever come across in the IVF business and the clinic is second to none. My girlfriend and I applied to the national program with a voucher, paid colossal amounts of money and ended up in an absolutely unacceptable situation.

Instead of doing the oocyte retrieval as scheduled, the doctor preferred to postpone it until Tuesday, even though we clearly knew that ovulation was going to happen by then. We were told the doctor was on vacation and the procedure was done by someone who didn’t even have the decency to give us a proper or sufficient explanation. They basically wasted our time, money and any hope that we could have a fair procedure.

In addition, every time we went for consultations, we had to wait between 4 and 6 hours, given that we had fixed appointments! Communication was a complete disaster – nobody told us anything concrete and we only got empty promises. When we asked for an explanation about the oocyte extraction procedure, we were told that it was not possible, because the doctor was on vacation, and those who answered us had no authority whatsoever.

In addition to all this, we were asked to sign a voucher to collect 10,000 lei for a “monitoring”, when, in fact, the doctor was away and nothing of what they originally promised us was happening! How do we sign for a procedure that wasn’t even done correctly and wasn’t even close to what we paid for? It is a pure scam, and we are not going to let this situation go unpunished!

Now, we are in a situation where we will probably lose the voucher, but we will go to court and report this case to the Insurance House, because such practices must not go unpunished. I do not recommend that anyone go through what we went through because this clinic is nothing but a money making business with no concern for the well being of the patients.

Avoid this clinic and this doctor at all costs, because not only do they not know what they are doing, they also do not care to treat their patients with respect. It is a shame for fertility medicine in Romania and in the world!

I had a terrible experience at the Genesis clinic in Athens, especially with Dr. Vythoulkas. My girlfriend and I applied to the national IVF program with a voucher and were scheduled for the oocyte retrieval last Friday. Instead of getting professional treatment, we had a real nightmare. Due to the carelessness of the doctor, who did not want to perform the procedure on time, we were postponed until Tuesday. Meanwhile, my girlfriend ovulated, and on Tuesday they had nothing left to draw.

Moreover, every time we went for consultations, we had to wait 4-6 hours, even if we had a clear appointment. The communication was completely chaotic, and when I asked for an explanation about the procedure, I didn’t get any concrete answers. We were told that the doctor was on vacation and that someone who was not responsible for the puncture would explain it to us, but he didn’t even have time for us.

In addition, the clinic charged us 10,000 lei for “monitoring” – that is, for a doctor who was not there, being on vacation, and we did not receive any response about the status of the procedure. They wanted to collect the voucher for services that were not provided and now we are in a situation where we will probably lose the voucher but we will continue to take legal action to get justice. We will also report this case to the Insurance House, because the clinic’s behavior is completely unacceptable.

This is, unfortunately, a clinic where the financial interests and vacations of the doctors are much more important than the patient. We will continue to take legal action to get justice, and our hope is that no one else has to go through the same hardships. Avoid this clinic and this doctor, who have no respect for patients and do not do their duty properly!

No one pays attention to you there. You are treated rudely at the reception. The nurse who was supposed to give me details about the start of the IVF treatment, in the doctor’s absence, had a very hard time responding to messages and calls and
asked if I started the treatment myself, which consists of injections that should have been done at the clinic and under medical supervision.

In this clinic with Dr. Andreas Vythoulkas I managed to have a child through IVF, after 7 years of attempts in which I went to doctors who did not give me a correct diagnosis, I recommend with confidence and I thank Dr. Andreas Vythoulkas and the entire team with whom he collaborated! IVF 2 is still here because we want more children!

Does this clinic somehow work with Cnas? Probably the prices are high and without Cnas I can never go.

Traumatic and disapointing experience going thorugh an IVF at Dr.Andreas Vythoulkas…

1 month later after the failed procedure and I still have major complications that required medical intervention (excessive bleeding, skin irritations, liver complications to mention just a few), to which the doctor responded in a sms only that they are “normal” or maybe due to hormonal inbalance (who caused that, though?)

I asked him for a review of our specific sitution before we go ahead with the procedure (I did by myself geneic tests and more tests to have a better understanding of what I needed) and althorugh he agreed to it, the day we went for it, we waited 2 hours in the hallway just to be told by him in 1 minute that “everything is alright” and I should just go and register mysef in for the procedure, why am I waiting.

On the day of the embryo transfer, I waited for 5 hours… he probably had another more “important” job. When I asked numerous times what’s going on and when will I start the procedure or talk to the doctor, I was answered exactly this: “do you have shopping to do or something? What’s the hurry. Just wait”… I was speechless

There were more than 15 women in the same salon where we waited. We were brought in “waves”, like a pack of ducks, one after the other..

The embryo transfer procedure does not last more than 5 minutes and we enter the operating table as if on a “conveyor belt”.

Dr Vythoulkas does only the embryotransfer. The eggs retrieval or any other procedure is not done by him, but by someone in his staff. I was not aware of this until the very moment of the procedure, as a surprise. Imagine seeing a doctor you never talked with before making a surgery on you just like that.

I went through a copy paste treatment that he gave to all the other women who were with me in that day at his clinic. It was exactly the same xeroxed copy of a treatment that we were all handed. Nothing personalized, maybe we all have exactly the same bodies and situations…

After the egg retrieval, as I was just coming out of anesthesia, the dr came and asked me if I agree to have 2 extra procedures done to “improve the quality of the embryo”. I was asked to sign a contract for it which was another cost, of course. while I had no idea in which conditions I could have said no to that, isn’t it illegal to ask someone who has been under a surgery and waking up from anesthesia to sign any legal documents? Apparaently not for them.

The communication has been extremely poor after the first meeting – I only communicated with his assistant who was a flegmatic 23 year old, giving me replies like “I wouldn have mentioned if there were anything else you sd know”, who didn’t tell me the full prices, gave me orders rather than inisghts and who never once was capable of telling me what is the full plan of action before every procedure so I can get properly organized (tests, meds, schedule).

After the result the dr asked to see us in person. I was not well due to complications and asked him to talk over the phone to tell us what ould have gone wrong and what to do next. He said that he studies intensely our case and there are so man complex things to be mentioned and so many other things that it can only be understood face to face.
I said: tell me one of them. He said No, we have to see face to face. – which meant of course giving them some more money.

The overall cost was estimated initially at around $3,000. We ended up paying $12,000 because of their lack of communication, prices changes from one month to the other and numerious useless trips to their clinic.

Not only I do not recommend Dr Vythoulkas and Genesis Athens to anyone, but I beg you not to go cause you will only destroy your health and end up throwing a lot of money just to be mocked upon.
This doctor should not be allowed to work anymore!
