Disorganized IVF process led to disappointment and financial loss after embryos were advertised to families without prior agreement. No long-term storage options were offered to the donor. Embryo donation options with other organizations were found to be

Don't feel valued as a donor, disorganized stressful process. Had my embryos advertised to families when I was already working with another family which lead to disappointment for families. Then wasn't told about longterm storage options while waiting for an adoptive family and paid expensive fees at my clinic for over a year and was just told, oops, and not reimbursed. Found out there are other organizations for embryo donation that pay for the storage for donors so those companies are way better.

After completing our family, it was a very difficult decision to do with our remaining embryos. After deciding to donate, we found embryo connections and while the whole process was long and at times arduous, they helped walk you through every step and the process. Everyone I worked with has been super friendly, knowledgeable, and willing and eager to help.
