What to watch out for at abc ivf?

  • warning Inconsistent patient coordination

Patient coordinators such as Elizabeth Ramsey have been reported to respond slowly or provide unclear information, requiring patients to chase updates on embryo storage, balances and cycle scheduling.

  • warning Administrative disorganization and hidden fees

Some patients encounter unexpected charges for embryo storage and experience errors in paperwork or medication provision. Administrative lapses, such as missing syringes for trigger shots, add stress to an already demanding treatment timeline.

  • warning Variable staff engagement

A few accounts describe staff appearing disengaged, occasional arguments between doctors and nurses, and a lack of proactive follow‑up, which contrasts with the otherwise supportive clinical team.

  • warning Appointment scheduling issues

Appointments often start later than scheduled and patients may see different clinicians at each visit, leading to fragmented continuity of care and the need for patients to repeat information.

I had a positive IVF experience at this clinic. The team was professional, patient, and caring. They kept me informed throughout the process.

I recently went through my IVF journey at this clinic, and overall my experience has been very positive. From my initial consultations to egg collection and embryo updates, the team showed professionalism, patience, and genuine care. The nurses were always reassuring, especially during moments when I felt anxious or overwhelmed. My results were explained clearly at every stage, and the embryology team kept me informed throughout the process, which meant a lot to me. I felt supported and cared for, and I appreciate the effort the staff put into making a stressful process easier. Thank you to the entire team for guiding me through this important part of my life.

Very mixed bag with ABC IVF in my opinion, obviously partly this is a 'you get what you pay for' situation and with ABC being the no frills approach to IVF you won't get the same experience as you would with a more bells and whistles expensive clinic. If you have the time and ability to research and project manage your experience though you should be fine and by this I mean be incredibly proactive, chase your patient liaison, look into outcomes from medication they advise, understand every step of the process etc. Where they really let themselves down is the customer service, our patient coordinator Elizabeth Ramsey almost never answers her emails and doesn't seem to have her finger on the pulse at all, incredibly fortunately we have fallen pregnant waiting for our frozen transfer and we have been trying to understand our position with our remaining balance paid and our embryos in storage for around 6-7 weeks now with no success. We receive little to no response from Elizabeth and what we do receive makes no sense, no one contacted us in the timeframe whilst we were waiting for the next cycle to begin treatment so do not expect them to be proactive with your care, again if you feel you have the capacity to take this on yourself you should be fine. I would liken the experience to buying a house, your solicitors will sit on documents you need to sign and actions you need to be taking until you repeatedly chase them, and there is always an additional cost hiding around the corner even if you think you've got a sure deal, all in all I found it a very similar experience! In summary the nurses and consultants are all lovely and great at their jobs, you feel well looked after in their care, just don't expect to sit back and have everything managed for you, you will need to be proactive. In addition if Elizabeth Ramsey is your patient coordinator maybe ask for someone else, although we didn't come across another so I can't speak to other coordinator's efficiency/approach.

What fertility treatments and services does abc ivf offer? expand_more
abc ivf provides a comprehensive suite of assisted reproduction services, including conventional IVF, ICSI for male factor infertility, and IVF with donor sperm. The clinic specializes in reciprocal IVF (also known as shared motherhood) for same‑sex female couples, allowing one partner to donate eggs while the other carries the pregnancy. Additional offerings include egg freezing, egg sharing, the Freeze & Share programme, and pre‑implantation genetic testing (PGT‑A) where appropriate. Patients also have access to comprehensive monitoring scans, hormone profiling, and personalised fertility counselling throughout their treatment journey.
What are the IVF success rates at abc ivf? expand_more
abc ivf consistently delivers clinical pregnancy rates that exceed the national average, with the clinic reporting a per‑embryo transferred success rate that is 10‑20 percentage points higher than the HFEA benchmark for patients under 35, depending on the location. These outcomes are achieved through partnership with CREATE Fertility, where all egg collection, embryology and embryo transfer procedures take place in state‑of‑the‑art laboratories. The clinic’s data, audited by the HFEA, show that both fresh and frozen‑thaw cycles benefit from advanced blastocyst culture and vitrification techniques, contributing to higher implantation and live‑birth rates. abc ivf’s focus on streamlined protocols and personalized treatment plans further supports these strong success metrics across all age groups.
