Zita West – Reviews and Prices

I highly recommend Zita West for IVF. We worked closely with Dr Simone Rofena resulting in a successful pregnancy on our first try! We met with the Dr and spoke to the nurses frequently – everyone is so caring and friendly. We always felt listened to, and we were given a lot of personal choice and freedom in co-creating the process and timings together.

Dr Rashda, Dr Simone and the nurses team have been amazing. I have been well looked after, my concerns were dealt with care and the communication was great. I would fully recommend this clinic!

So how does one summarize our experience our experience with ZW?? Let me break it down to the extent possible

– for one, they came highly recommended. Doctors we know from different countries spoke about ZW and Dr. G, their experience and their research etc.

– ZW also did a great job at selling the ‘holistic approach’ i.e. prepping us from different angles – mentally (via counseling) and physically (via nutrition and acupuncture) – besides the usual IVF drugs that is

– They also gave the impression that they don’t pump the woman’s body to the absolute limit to maximize egg retrieval chances but possibly at the detriment of the woman’s body

– we fell hook, line and sinker for the schpeel and chose to ignore the fact that ZW is significantly more expensive than other clinics. We thought that it would be worth it.

– Some of the support functions – ie the nutritionist, the counsellor, the acupuncturist etc were excellent

– the counsellor, Jane Knight, in particular is worthy of nothing but the highest praise. Her advice wasn’t hollow – she correctly identified the mental challenges we were facing and provided concrete arguments to help placate the jittery and anxious nerves of an IVF patient

– the doctor (Dr Hall) and nurses at Care who transferred the blastocyst also were capable and positive

– and thats where the superlatives ran dry

– the remaining experience at ZW can be described as lackadaisical and step-motherly at best

– Dr G rarely got into the details of my case and preferred to talk in concepts almost entirely. I had a previous history with IVF and alot of data / info was available which could have been used to determine the best protocol / dosage. NOT ONCE did I get the sense that my case had been thoroughly reviewed and that the advice given was customized to my situation / body / needs. NOT ONCE did I get the sense that my case had been reviewed prior to Dr. / Patient interactions and that the ZW / Dr. G were up to date with the latest on my case.

– we also have come to realize that the protocol administered to us, wasn’t customized for our needs. For eg I have endometriosis and no alterations to the protocol were made to control for this complication

– at no point were we assigned a case manager who would be our primary contact on a day-to-day basis and who would be responsible for ensuring that the train didnt go off the tracks. Our experience was quite the contrary – the ZW weren’t there to guide you BEFORE something became an issue, they were to answer qs that YOU thought of, AFTER YOU predicted an issue might happen.

– and less said about the nursing staff, the better. Our experience with them ranged from the inept to plain ridiculous. Mistakes in communication, wrong dosages, missed timings – if there was a even a remote chance of a mistake, the nursing staff made sure to not miss it

– lastly, most of the people on whose shoulders this clinic has built its name – have left (Dr G, Jane Knight etc). It took weeks to get appointments at critical junctures with Dr G who only worked part time then – often occuring after the critical juncture had been passed. And as you may know, ZW has been acquired by Care anyway and Dr.G has since retired.

– our procedure failed – our blastocyst did not latch on. Of course, thats not on ZW so I don’t want to leave anyone with the impression that the outcome of the procedure had anything to do with the content and tone of my review

However, overall my view is that find yourself a better, more engaged clinic. And save your money. ZW is not what its touted to be

I can’t recommend Zita West products enough, I feel like they have been a huge help. I like the fact that these products are pure and not full of the ‘fillers’ like many other products are. What is also great is the lovely Isabelle who has helped support me and guide me during my IVF journey and given her in-depth advice on what she recommends for me to take. This consultation service adds the feeling of it being more targeted for your needs. Isabelle is very experienced and knowledgeable in this field, plus she is extremely kind and considerate which is lovely to be on the receiving end when going through this process.

All the staff, from the admin staff to the nurses to Dr Simone were very kind and compassionate.We didn’t feel pressured in any way in any decisions we made.We only wanted to do one round of IVF. We knew the odds were against us. I had immunotherapy and generic testing on my embryos, it was a gruelling time. Dr Simone managed to implant the only embryo we had successfully! He has very steady hands!! Now we have baby Arthur!!

After three failed transfers at another clinic, we are finally pregnant thanks to Zita West’s holistic approach and amazing team of doctors and nurses.

Zita West has a uniquely bespoke and holistic approach through which they looked at all aspects of our lifestyle to treat real root causes of implantation failure. This allowed us to materially increase the number of blastocysts versus previous cycles at another clinic and get pregnant from the first transfer attempt. We believe that the traditional methods applied by other clinics would have not been able to get us this far and highly recommend Zita West to other patients.

We felt truly looked after, heard and supported by all the wonderful staff at Zita West throughout the entire process. They were always attentive, reachable and showed true care for me and my husband.

This review is not about the clinic, but about one of the people that have made this long and difficult journey more bearable at the clinic. We’ve been with Zita West since 2018 and are still waiting to bring home our miracle baby. Along the way we’ve had many difficult times and some of the staff have been so supportive during those times. One in particular has been Suzi. Always so helpful and supportive, she really takes the time to listen to you and put you at ease. A real asset to Zita West! It really does make a massive difference when you have genuinely supportive staff who help you through the difficult process of IVF. Thank you Suzi!

Having had 3 failed rounds via the NHS (who were also absolutely lovely) we made the decision to go with the Zita West Clinic and I am so pleased that we did. The staff were incredible (especially Dr Simone and the lovely midwife Sarah), they understood our issues straight away and we received fantastic treatment. And it finally worked, with some additional frozen left over (which we had never had before) – this was all during the height of the pandemic but we felt safe at all times. I would highly recommend.
