I highly recommend Stanford Fertility. At age 34, my husband and I chose to freeze embryos, which allowed me to return to school for my nursing degree without the fear that I might lose my ability to have children later in life. That decision turned out to be life-changing. Now at age 40, Stanford Fertility has given my family so much joy. We have a healthy, happy 22-month-old son, and I am currently 7 weeks pregnant with our baby girl. We are about to graduate to obstetrics, a milestone that still feels surreal. Because my father passed away when I was very young, I do not know much about my family medical history. Stanford’s genetic testing gave us tremendous peace of mind. We were able to screen our embryos for many genetic conditions in addition to my own genetic testing, which helped us move forward with confidence. We worked closely with Dr. Nakajima, Dr. Milki, and the entire Stanford Fertility team. They always made me feel comfortable, took the time to explain each step, and treated us with compassion and respect throughout the process. We chose Stanford Fertility over other programs because of Stanford’s rigorous hiring practices, and we truly believe they employ the most exceptional physicians and staff. We are deeply grateful for the care we received and for the joy Stanford Fertility has brought to our family.

I am starting a new process with this clinic-and only because this is the only place my insurance covers. I forgot what a COMPLETE nightmare this place is. Be prepared to speak with incompetent nurses and MDs who do no speak with you along the way. You send mychart messages, only to have a nurse reply back or call you, however, nothing they say makes sense.

Our experience so far has been quite positive so far. The doctors and nurses we’ve interacted with have been excellent, and the quality of care has been consistently good. That said, communication can definitely be improved, especially around billing and other administrative things. The back-and-forth on the Mychart app can get a little tiring, and you do need to stay on top of follow-ups. But in fairness, responses have been reasonably prompt most of the times.

I should have trusted the reviews!!! One year back and forth and I never once saw my dr (Dr Lathi) in person!!! Horrible communication. I had to have my friends who have done the same process with other firms, explain to me what to expect!! The procedure was finally done and i was having a lot of pain. The dr on call wouldn’t care less about the pain and would hear only half of what I had to say given all the kids noise. While on the call with a nurse (different nurse every single time), a doctor comes into the room and has the nurse change the injection!! Just like that! This is how random the process is. A patient is just a file to this team which gets handled by whomever happens to have a moment. Stanford healthcare is just a name at this point…. It’s absolutely frustrating, sad and concerning to be taken care of, like this! Thankfully we had a good insurance but I feel horrible for an individual who has to go through this and pay out of pocket too… After all, I blame myself for not trusting the reviews before I started with them… Please do yourself a favor and pick another center. Don’t let the name fool you… the building, the machines, 500 different random staff and an unnecessary difficult process doesn’t help you - a kind doctor who cares would be all you need… :( i am very sad for having left my body to be treated by such incompetent team… Take a moment to look at the response they have copied and pasted to all the unhappy reviews… this is the same care you might get from them if you are lucky and get any response at all!!!

Worst experience. Dr. Mielke was completely cold and inattentive. He didn’t take time to explain our issues. Ended up spending 10s of thousands of dollars with no results. They approached the process like a business transaction. The facility only has Stanford’s name, not the quality you’d expect. Painful experience for me and my wife.
