I cannot say enough wonderful things about Dr. Garde, SGF coordinator- Danielle, and the entire team at Shady Grove Fertility. From the very first appointment through the moment I graduated from SGF pregnant with my first daughter, I was treated with nothing but the highest level of professionalism, compassion, empathy, and care.
Infertility is an incredibly emotional and vulnerable journey, and this team made every step feel manageable, supported, and hopeful. Dr. Garde’s expertise and thoughtful approach gave me so much confidence and peace throughout the entire process. Danielle, the coordinator, was truly amazing — always responsive, organized, patient, and incredibly kind. She made sure I fully understood each phase of my workup and IVF treatment, from medications to injections, and frequently checked in to ensure I felt comfortable and supported.
Every single staff member I encountered — nurses, medical assistants, front desk staff, and embryology team — treated me with warmth, respect, and genuine care. Their attention to detail, organization, and communication were exceptional. I never once felt rushed, confused, or overlooked.
What truly sets SGF apart is their compassion. They recognize that this journey is about more than just medicine — it’s about hope, dreams, and building families. Their gentle touch, emotional support, and constant encouragement meant the world to me. Because of their dedication, expertise, and unwavering support, I am now living my lifelong dream of becoming a mother.
I will be forever thankful to Dr. Garde, Danielle, and the entire SGF team for helping bring my daughter into this world. If you are considering fertility treatment, I wholeheartedly recommend Shady Grove Fertility. You will be in the best hands possible.

My doctor, Dr. Emily Barnard, was incredibly fantastic, and I couldn’t have asked for a better medical professional. I’m truly grateful for my entire medical team. There was a billing issue, and I filed a complaint. The patient care advocate supervisor, Susan Allen, called me the very next day and resolved the issue. They were also very receptive to suggestions and ideas for improving patient experience. I’m glad Shady Grove maintains high quality of care and prioritizes patient experience.

Nurse Alice Sargent RN was very helpful, professional, and responsive. She answered all my questions clearly and kept me updated throughout the process. I really appreciated her care and communication.
Alex Brouard was also excellent with financial advice. She acted quickly, resolved the issue fast, and made sure everything was taken care of. Great service from both.

I can’t say enough good things about the team at Shady Grove, especially Michelle. This was my third IVF retrieval, and the second time Michelle M. has been my nurse, and once again she made an incredibly meaningful difference in my experience.
Michelle is kind, deeply empathetic, and wonderfully calming. In a process that can feel overwhelming and emotional, she has a way of making you feel truly heard, supported, and at ease. Her steady presence and genuine compassion helped ground me and brought so much reassurance during each step.
Because of Michelle and the care she provides, my experience was far more positive than I ever expected. I’m incredibly grateful to her and the entire Shady Grove team.

I’m Very disappointed with Shady Grove Fertility (Fairfax) due to serious billing and insurance issues.
Before starting egg freezing, I called to confirm my insurance was accepted and was told YES. After treatment began, their financial department said my insurance was not accepted, forcing me to pay 100% out-of-pocket.
Despite the fact that Shady Grove Fertility never accepted my insurance and required me to self-pay for all services. So I must paid all without insurance.
But a year later I received:
• A bill of $3,900 in 2024 claiming my insurance did not cover services. Then I explained the facts and month after they corrected the bill to $2000 instead
What the hell they are doing !!!! That’s kind of fraudulent.
On top of that, my contract lists a $65/month storage fee, but I was charged $80, and even worse, charged twice per month ($160 total) automatically since July 2025.
Patients should review every charge carefully. Lack of transparency and accountability.
