This place and shady grove overall is a scam. They are running a bait and switch scam. We provided our health insurance before the appointment and they told us we are covered and quoted a price. When we get there for the appointment they said our insurance doesn't cover this appointment due to fertility exclusion and told us we are self pay and we had to pay a higher price. I called my insurance and there is no such exclusion, my insurance actually covers fertility appointment, testing, everything. I had to spend hours on the phone trying to fight with shady grove to just submit an insurance claim. They kept pushing us towards self pay instead of using insurance so that they can charge more. The doctor was good but they are trying to find loopholes to make sure people's insurance doesn't apply so they can charge more. Update: My insurance company approved the claim. So this confirms they are lying so they can charge more.

Jennifer in finance is one of the most caring, dedicated people I’ve had the pleasure of working with over the years. She’s incredibly personable if not empathetic, and on top of communication. It’s clear to me how much she cares for the people she represents and i feel so lucky to have her help me through all the insurance and benefits so I can get connected to my services quickly. Cannot share enough of how much I appreciate Jennifer, Sophie my all star nurse, Hillary, Dr Swelstad and the whole team at fair oaks. I’m sorry to see some negative reviews as I’m sure ultimately Shady Grove is a very big entity and so many people come through for something so sensitive… but my personal experience has been exceptional from the start!

First of all...everyone at this office is great. But Katelyn B deserves the biggest shout out. She has been an amazing nurse in general, but really went above and beyond when there was an issue at the Fairfax office with scheduling my surgery. She advocated and helped me when it felt like no one else was listening and there was nothing that could be done. This girl deserves everything beautiful in life and a 5 million dollar raise 🩷🩷🩷

I am truly grateful to the Shady Grove Fertility – Fair Oaks team for their outstanding care and support. Dr. Swelstad was kind and attentive, clearly explaining every step and answering all our questions. Saimah was always responsive, supportive, and reassuring, and Jennifer made the financial side completely stress-free. I also sincerely thank all the nurses and staff for their kindness and compassion. This journey is not easy, but the entire team made it feel supported and cared for, and we felt genuine joy shared with us when we received the good news of our pregnancy. Thank you all for the beautiful and meaningful work you do.
