Why choose Reproductive Sciences Medical Center?

  • check_circle Multilingual & International Coordination

The clinic provides Chinese‑speaking medical escorts, on‑site translators, and a dedicated travel agency that arranges flights, visas, and accommodation. This support eliminates language barriers and streamlines the transition from Taiwan to the United States. Patients repeatedly note that the multilingual staff make complex medical information accessible and reduce travel stress.

  • check_circle Compassionate Medical Team

Dr. Ho, Dr. Harari, and coordinators Jenny and Cindy are praised for their professionalism, patience, and detailed explanations. They tailor treatment plans to individual needs, offer emotional reassurance, and maintain a warm bedside manner. Multiple patients credit these doctors for successful IVF cycles and successful surrogacy outcomes.

  • check_circle Streamlined Logistics & Travel Assistance

RSMC handles scheduling of examinations, egg retrieval, and embryo transfer while coordinating with partner clinics and laboratories. The clinic’s ability to align medical appointments with patients’ busy schedules, especially entrepreneurs, is highlighted as a major convenience. Travel logistics, including wheelchair assistance and airport transfers, are consistently described as thoughtful.

  • check_circle Responsive Communication and Clear Cost Structure

Staff respond quickly to inquiries via group chats and email, providing detailed cost breakdowns and allowing staged payments. Patients appreciate the transparency that helps them manage budgets without unexpected fees. The promptness of replies is cited as reducing anxiety throughout the process.

  • check_circle Positive Clinical Outcomes

Numerous patients report successful pregnancies, including first‑time parents, surrogates, and egg donors who have completed multiple cycles. The clinic’s ability to achieve live births after previous failures at other centers is highlighted as a key strength.

What to watch out for at Reproductive Sciences Medical Center?

  • warning Inconsistent Post‑Procedure Care

Several patients describe delayed or inadequate response to severe post‑retrieval symptoms such as OHSS, low blood pressure, and internal bleeding. In at least one case, the clinic sent the patient home with only Tylenol despite escalating pain, leading to emergency care. These reports suggest gaps in monitoring and emergency protocols.

  • warning Misleading Guarantees and Marketing Claims

Feedback includes accusations that the clinic advertises a 100% success guarantee and an 80% refund promise that are not honored. Claims of being a SART member are contradicted by evidence that the clinic is not listed, raising concerns about the accuracy of promotional materials.

  • warning Pain Management Gaps During Egg Retrieval

Patients report that painkillers and ascites medication were omitted or insufficient during egg retrieval, leading to unnecessary discomfort. The absence of standard analgesia is noted as a cost‑saving measure that compromises patient comfort.

  • warning Transparency of Success Rates

Independent data indicate a 30% success rate for patients under 35, lower than the national average of 47%, yet the clinic’s website presents higher figures. The discrepancy creates uncertainty for prospective patients evaluating effectiveness.

  • warning Administrative and Contractual Issues

Some patients experienced forced changes to their chosen doctor or hospital, frequent turnover of case managers, and contracts that were interpreted unfavorably after signing. These administrative hurdles contributed to feelings of reduced autonomy and increased stress.

In November 2024, I paid $18,700 to Lucina Egg Bank (which works with RSMC) for eight frozen donor eggs. Before I paid, I was told that if none of the eight eggs led to a usable embryo, I would receive six additional eggs for free. I also paid $8,967.50 to RSMC for the lab work to create blastocysts. Unfortunately, all eight eggs failed, and there was no embryo available for transfer, so I never even had a chance to try an embryo transfer. When I later asked about the six free replacement eggs, I was told that my situation did not qualify, and I was advised to pay again to buy more eggs. This was very different from what I had expected based on the information I was given at the beginning, and I felt very disappointed and confused. After this experience, I started to look up public information by myself. I found that the CDC-reported IVF success rates for RSMC were much lower than I had imagined, and I also saw that Lucina Egg Bank was only established a few years ago, not “over 30 years of experience” as I initially understood from their marketing. On a consumer rating website, their current rating is also quite low. All of this made me feel that the expectations I had were not realistic. My husband and I are not wealthy, and we saved for years to afford IVF. Losing this money and this opportunity has been very painful for us, both financially and emotionally. I went through a long period of depression after this failed cycle. I am sharing only my personal experience here. I hope it can remind other patients to ask very detailed questions about success rates, guarantees, and what happens if treatment fails, before making such an important and expensive decision.

I had the implant done last July, and my baby is now six months old. Thank you, Dr. Ho, for making my dream of becoming a mother come true and giving me a lovely baby. I also want to thank the RSMC medical staff for their attentive and meticulous help during the implantation process. I plan to have another implantation next March! ☺️

Before embarking on my journey to becoming a father, I always thought "home" was just a place to live together. But with the support and professional assistance of RSMC, I deeply realized that home is a place where "someone is waiting for you, and someone is complete because of you." From every communication and check-up to every step of welcoming our baby, RSMC provided us with peace of mind, respect, and warmth. This journey wasn't easy, but along the way, we felt supported and understood, making us truly believe that love can transcend distance, methods, and boundaries, as long as our hearts are connected. Now, looking at that tiny hand holding mine, I finally understand—becoming a father doesn't begin from the moment the child is born, but from the moment I decide to continue "love."

This is a hospital that is very friendly to Chinese people. My partner and I are from Taiwan. We initially planned to go directly to the US to freeze our eggs and have a baby, but we were worried because our English isn't very good. Later, we found that not only could we consult online in Chinese, but there were also Chinese-speaking medical interpreters to accompany us at the hospital, which made us feel very at ease. The hospital also helped us arrange our airfare, visas, and a monthly apartment, making the trip very smooth. My wife is now 12 weeks pregnant. Thank you so much! We hope to have the opportunity to take our child back to California someday.
