The clinic has poor communication, and unreliable scheduling. Appointments were canceled multiple times, and the staff was uncaring. The patient was devastated by the experience.

If I would give 0 stars if I could. I have had the worst experience with this clinic. They never answer the phone and take several days to return calls. My original appointment which was virtual was scheduled in September. Unfortunately, I had to cancel but they couldn’t reschedule me until January because the doctor was on vacation. Mind you, there is more than one doctor at this location but I am unsure why they didn’t check with other doctor’s schedules as I am a new patient and have not seen anyone at the clinic. The person who scheduled my next appointment, scheduled it on January 1st. During the call, I asked her if they were open that day and she confirmed yes. I also called in October to confirm my appointment and I received a call back stating it was January 1st. I thought it was strange they would be open on New Year’s Day but I had two verbal confirmations and their staff is the one who scheduled it. I showed up January 1st and the office was closed. I left a voicemail that day but planned to show up at the office on the 2nd as I knew they would not call me back for days. When i arrived at the office, they had a hard time finding my appointment and finally said yes I am sorry that happened, I don’t know why you were scheduled on a day we were closed. They rescheduled me again for February 17th. I had to confirm they were open again as the 17th is a holiday but they said they were. I received a text message asking me to confirm my appointment to which I replied yes on Monday, February 10th. The very next day I receive a call and they canceled my appointment. Of course, I called back and no one answered so I went up there in person. I wanted to know why they canceled my appointment and that I needed to be seen another day in February as I have already been rescheduled. It took 15 minutes to get an answer even though the waiting area was empty. She stated that they overbooked new patients on the day my appointment was scheduled and needed to cancel my appointment. That the doctor can only see so many new patients per day and that they couldn’t get me in until March 31st. I asked her how could she confirm that they won’t cancel my appointment again due to being overbooked. I am devastated. I have been waiting since September to be seen. My referral from my doctor was sent summer of 2024. Such a terrible experience and they are the only clinic in Augusta. With no competition, they are in no hurry to help patients. It seems the clinic often cancels appointments from the other reviews that are left and they have no compassion for the patients. We really need another reproductive clinic in Augusta that is patient centered.

Giving an extra star because the Doctors have been very informative and helpful when I have seen them. Nevertheless, having called more than a few times, I have never had anyone actually answer my call. I have either had to leave a message or was so tired of leaving messages that I drove to the facility to get my questions answered. More recently my wife and I both made separate appointments that were both cancelled. My wife was told just a few days before her appointment that it needed to be cancelled with no other explanation. When trying to reschedule she could only get an appointment for three months later. Just today I had an appointment that was set months ago. There was nobody even at the clinic. I had not been notified at all about the cancellation by phone or mail. Just a locked door when I got there. Furthermore, why my records cannot be transferred over to mychart from the older patient portal is frustrating to say the least. Also, I cannot even message some of my Doctors because I have yet to have an appointment set up with them under the new system. I’m not sure where the disconnect is but this kind of stuff is infuriating. Waiting for months to potentially get answers only to be postponed for another quarter of a year just doesn’t make sense to me. At least without some sort of explanation. I understand that things come up and the doctors and other employees have lives as well, but when all you are given is “we have to cancel your appointment” with no rationale for why, there seems to be a lack of transparency. I’m not expecting everyone’s business to be spilled but something as simple as “Dr. so and so has a family emergency to attend to” or “apologies as we are understaffed” would suffice. Worse though, is to not even notify patients of a cancelled appointment. That is unprofessional. You could at minimum call and leave a message.

The reviewer had a generally positive IVF experience at this clinic, citing friendly doctors and good communication. However, they mentioned long waiting times as a negative aspect. The reviewer found the staff to be helpful.

I am very sad and devastated by my experience with Augusta University Reproductive Medicine Infertility Associates. For my first new patient appointment, the doctor decided to cancel my appointment that I had been waiting for for 3 months at the last minute. I was then told to wait another 3 months to reschedule. I waited another month to see him for the second appointment, and they ended up canceling again without notice. For my third appointment, I waited another month, and when I showed up, they had canceled it because the doctor was on vacation. It seems like this doctor does not personally want to see me. I'm beginning to feel personally attacked and that he has no care for my well-being. I need management to please reach out to me. When I asked to speak to his boss, they asked me not to because he is the director. This is so rude and unprofessional. Now they want me to wait all the way until January, putting my health on pause because the doctor was on vacation. I need somebody to take this seriously. My health is on the line, and I want to get better. This has caused me so much stress and anxiety. I don't recommend this clinic. Please find care somewhere else
