Olive Fertility Centre Victoria

My experience with Olive Fertility Clinic in Victoria, BC was deeply disappointing and emotionally distressing. Over the course of approximately six rounds of IUI, I spent more than $6,000 in treatment costs. During this time, there was significant staff turnover, and I frequently encountered nurses who appeared undertrained, misinformed, or unfamiliar with my medical history. On my second IUI cycle, I did become pregnant; however, this unfortunately ended in miscarriage. At that time, I was advised only that I might experience “slight cramping,” without adequate guidance or follow-up. I was later given incorrect instructions regarding medication, which added unnecessary confusion and stress during an already traumatic experience. During one IUI procedure, after 45 minutes, i was left in tears as not one but 2 nurses were unable to locate my cervix, as I was visibly distressed and repeatedly asking to see a physician. When a doctor eventually arrived, I was told how busy they were and that the procedure would need to be rushed as I cried—despite the fact that I had paid over $1,000 for that treatment. This interaction felt dismissive and unprofessional. After my sixth IUI, I was told that I was “not a good candidate” and that continuing IUIs was no different than trying to conceive on my own, despite no changes in my medical tests or diagnosis. I was advised to consider IVF instead. This assessment was confusing, given that a pregnancy had previously occurred under IUI treatment. Five months after that appointment, following personal life changes, I attempted to book a follow-up consultation. Since November 2025, the clinic has not responded to my calls or emails. To date, I have been unable to secure a basic follow-up appointment or speak with a physician. Although the clinic has three physicians, I was told I could only consult with one specific doctor (Dr. Dayan), even though the other physicians had performed medical procedures during my treatment cycles. No clear explanation was provided for this limitation. At this point, I have been waiting over three months without medical follow-up, guidance, or support. My only point of contact has been a nurse who, in my experience, was argumentative and appeared misinformed about my case. Overall, I felt abandoned during a vulnerable and time-sensitive medical process. Fertility treatment requires not only medical competence but also communication, continuity of care, and compassion. Unfortunately, those elements were consistently lacking in my experience at Olive Fertility Clinic. I share this review so others can make an informed decision. Patients deserve dignity, respect, and reliable care—especially in fertility medicine.
