The staff of Novafem used the incorrect embryo and we only found out on Week 22 ultrasound that the baby would be a male and not a female. This is despite the fact that there were ony 2 embryos and the female embryo had healthier tests. They then said that they had no duty to notify me that they used the other embryo. Awful place with no processes or controls and no consideration for the people that put their trust in them. Do not use this service if you want to have confidence in the surrogacy process. They claimed to use the healthiest embryo after the fact. And they claimed that I did not understand the agreement. Interesting that they also claimed that they HAD NO OBLIGATION TO NOTIFY that they chose the embryo that was Male. Resulting in me finding out on week 22 that the baby was a male. I wonder how NO NOTIFICATION of a supposed change in plans that resulted in another embryo being used that was MALE instead of FEMALE squares with NOVAFEM's treatment of its clients.

Novafem runs a very dishonest and careless operation. Our family only found out in the second trimester that they had used the wrong embryo for the transfer. This is despite having previously confirmed that they would use a Female embryo. They then said they made the choice for medical reasons even though NO ONE was notified of the fact that they chose another gender without notifying the parents. they said they had NO DUTY to notify. They also admitted in an email that they used were confused about which embryo to use. Even with all this, Novafem refuses to accept responsibility. They are a highly suspect organization. And I would warn any parent that thinks of working with them on such an important matter.

I underwent two inseminations with great effort, as I am a low-income person, and I lost my money. I didn't get pregnant, and I was left in debt with no explanation as to why the procedure didn't work. Dr. Melvin never told me why the two in-vitro fertilizations failed. When I returned in January, the doctor had been fired, and frankly, I feel this clinic is only interested in money. They play with patients' hopes and don't realize the enormous effort one makes to earn the money and then give it to them. Very poor service. Look for a clinic that cares about the patient's clinical and psychological well-being.

I don't recommend this clinic because the first time I went for the exam, a very kind doctor saw me and confirmed that I was in optimal condition for surrogacy. However, at the second appointment, I saw a Dr. Melvin (I don't remember his name very well), but I do remember that he treated me very badly. He said that I supposedly had a bicornuate uterus and that I would never be able to get pregnant. But I had already had two previous pregnancies and had passed exams at other clinics without complications. I found him to be an unprofessional, disrespectful, and very rough when performing the exam. I contacted the clinic a few days later to file a complaint, and they said they would call me back, but they never did. Today, I can confirm that everything he told me was a lie, since I just completed a successful surrogacy process and I am in perfect health. So, this clinic with a professional like that is very unreliable.
