this review is for Dr. Chong, specifically. She treated me at a different facility. I now have a beautiful baby, and she was involved in part of that process, but if you feel uneasy with her or notice red flags, trust your instincts. I have never felt more dehumanized by a physician.
She initially seemed compassionate, which mattered as I had just gone through a cancer scare. Over time, her behavior became increasingly concerning and ultimately led to the most degrading medical experience I’ve had. During egg retrieval, I developed an excessive number of follicles and repeatedly raised concerns about OHSS, which she dismissed, saying “more is better,” and incorrectly claimed I wanted multiple children when we were clear that one would be a blessing. An MRI showed I had OHSS and suspected adenomyosis. After retrieval, I developed severe OHSS symptoms and had to go to the ER, where it was confirmed. We had seven embryos and declined genetic testing for valid reasons, yet she was extremely pushy about it. At follow-up, I asked how adenomyosis might affect my treatment plan. She ignored my questions, fixated on the lack of testing, and became aggressive when I asked to stop discussing it. She had not reviewed my MRI. Shortly after, she called my husband and we still don’t know why, other than to ask him to get me in line. She then transferred our care, claiming it was too hard on her mental health, and refused to meet or apologize for discussing my care with my husband instead of me. The doctor I was transferred to completely changed the protocol she gave me (which was typical
Cookie cutter given to most patients) based on the information in the MRI.This experience affected me deeply for weeks and my trust in doctors. I am eternally grateful to Dr. G and team G for my little miracle. The nurses are so attentive (I've mainly dealt with Olivia) and I might be bias but I think Celina is the best receptionist ever. She literally feels like our personal cheerleader at appointments and she is so so sweet and patient (despite needing my portal password reset a million times). The ladies who do the blood work are also top notch and amazing at what they do. I'm so glad MFC was my first choice and although all of the doctors are amazing and I've had most of them for procedures, I have extra confidence and trust in Dr. G, she is truly a doctor that cares. I ended up crying when I graduated from the clinic. Thanks MFC for doing such an incredible job. Your attention to detail, punctuality and warm environment makes a difficult time a little easier.
