IVF Clinic had disorganized processes, slow responsiveness, and resulted in an unsatisfactory treatment outcome. Friendly staff was a redeeming quality. Overall experience was disappointing and expensive.

Unfriendly staff and incompetence characterize Livio Kungsholmen. The clinic is looking for sperm donors but they choose to accept only 10% of the applicants. Of course, only Aryans qualify. They blame sperm quality (as if 90% of men in Sweden are not fertile). Then they have an upper age limit for sperm donors. They strangely don't say why. The upper age limit is only about the donor's children having the opportunity to contact the donor in adulthood before the donor dies of old age. What a joker Livio is. Choose another actor.

When you come to Livio Kungsholmen, ask about Dr.Helen. She is the most kind, patient and honest doctor. She has the communication skills as many other doctors don’t have it. I won’t talk about her angel face as you will realise this straightaway. Despite, I come out with results from my treatment or not, but at lease i know she is done the best to help us. Thank you Dr.Helen

Very bad place. Bad info and doesn't give out prescriptions on time. When they couldn't do an IVF that week due to a water leak, we switched to Falun. They were much better. Even though we had to pay for it.

Unfortunately I cannot recommend Livio Kungsholmen at all, especially not if you have to spend money on the treatment. After being at other clinics I realize that you don't have to be treated like a commodity the way they do, a little humanity would have gone a long way. They also refuse to do anything that goes outside the box 1A so I really recommend spending your money on a clinic that does more tests, listens to your thoughts etc.

Core offerings include in‑vitro fertilization (IVF) with optional intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI) and pre‑implantation genetic testing (PGT‑A) for embryo screening. The clinic also offers intrauterine insemination (IUI) using partner or donor sperm, egg freezing for fertility preservation, and both egg and sperm donation programs supported by Livio’s own egg and sperm banks. Additional services encompass ovarian stimulation protocols, hormonal analysis, advanced surgical sperm retrieval methods such as PESA, TESA and Micro‑TESE, embryo vitrification, and supportive counselling throughout the treatment cycle. This extensive portfolio enables Livio to tailor assisted reproduction strategies to each patient’s unique medical profile and family‑building goals.
Does Livio treat single women seeking fertility treatment? expand_more

Single women can access the full range of assisted reproduction services, including IVF, ICSI, egg freezing, and donor egg programs. What is the history and background of Livio? expand_more
Livio is part of the Livio Group, which has become the leading fertility network in the Nordic region. The group’s origins trace back to the early 1990s, with the Carl von Linné Clinic founded in 1990 and later expanding to include nine private clinics across Sweden, Norway, Iceland and Denmark. Livio Göteborg made history in 2011 as Sweden’s first private IVF clinic, and today the network performs more than 8 000 IVF cycles annually. The clinics are integrated with Livio’s own egg and sperm banks, enabling short waiting times for donation treatments. Continuous investment in research, participation in international studies, and a focus on state‑of‑the‑art assisted reproduction have positioned Livio as a trusted provider for thousands of families seeking fertility solutions.
What is the maximum age for IVF treatment at Livio? expand_more
Livio sets the upper age limit for IVF treatment at 42 years for women undergoing their own egg cycles, reflecting the clinic’s commitment to optimizing success while maintaining safety. For donor‑egg IVF, recipients may be older, but donor eligibility is limited to women under 46 years, ensuring high‑quality oocytes. Intrauterine insemination (IUI) is generally recommended for women under 35‑36 years, as egg quality declines with age and IVF becomes the more effective option. Livio’s physicians assess each patient’s ovarian reserve, overall health and individual circumstances to determine the most appropriate treatment plan within these age parameters.
Does Livio offer egg donation for IVF treatment? expand_more
Yes, Livio offers a fully integrated egg donation program through its Livio Egg Bank. The clinic recruits screened donors aged 23‑35, who undergo comprehensive medical, genetic and psychosocial assessments before donation. Recipients benefit from short waiting times and access to high‑quality donor eggs that are cultured to the blastocyst stage before embryo transfer. All donor eggs are vitrified and stored under strict laboratory conditions to preserve viability. Livio’s IVF specialists coordinate the matching process, ensuring that donor characteristics align with recipient needs while complying with Swedish regulations. The program has contributed to high pregnancy rates for women with diminished ovarian reserve, premature menopause or repeated IVF failures.
Does Livio provide fertility treatment for same-sex couples? expand_more
Livio is LGBTQ‑certified and explicitly supports same‑sex couples in their family‑building plans. The clinic offers insemination and IVF using donor sperm for lesbian couples, as well as donor egg and sperm programs for male couples who wish to pursue surrogacy. Livio’s experienced reproductive endocrinologists coordinate ROPA (Reception of Oocytes from Partner) procedures for female couples, and the clinic’s legal and psychosocial teams guide patients through the specific regulatory requirements for each family structure. By providing tailored protocols and a welcoming environment, Livio ensures that all same‑sex partners receive equitable access to advanced assisted reproduction.
What IVF laboratory technology does Livio use? expand_more
Livio’s IVF laboratory operates under ISO‑9001 certification and incorporates cutting‑edge technologies to maximize embryo quality and pregnancy rates. The lab utilizes time‑lapse imaging systems that continuously monitor embryo development without disturbing culture conditions, allowing embryologists to select the most viable blastocysts for transfer. An artificial‑intelligence (AI) platform analyses these time‑lapse images to predict implantation potential, further refining embryo selection. The facility also employs vitrification for rapid cryopreservation of eggs, sperm and embryos, ensuring high survival rates upon thawing. Standard IVF culture is complemented by blastocyst culture to day 5–6, and the laboratory is equipped for both conventional IVF and ICSI procedures. These advanced tools, combined with rigorous quality control, support Livio’s commitment to delivering optimal in‑vitro fertilization outcomes.
