Why choose Life IVF Center?

  • check_circle Expert Dr. Yelian leadership

Dr. Yelian designs precision IVF protocols tailored to each patient, employing mini‑IVF and low‑dose regimens that have resulted in successful pregnancies for women in their 40s and for couples with complex histories. Multiple accounts cite his clear explanations, confidence during consultations, and hands‑on involvement during retrievals and transfers. His surgical skill is described as gentle, with at least one patient noting a painless egg retrieval.

  • check_circle Compassionate staff support

Nurses, embryologists, and front‑desk team members consistently provide kind, attentive care, answering questions in detail and offering emotional reassurance during stressful moments. Specific staff such as Debbie, Naomi, and Molly are praised for their availability and empathy, contributing to a welcoming clinic atmosphere.

  • check_circle Affordable pricing structure

Patients repeatedly mention that Life IVF Center offers lower medication costs, reasonable embryo storage fees, and overall treatment prices that are competitive within Southern California. Several reviewers highlight the ability to purchase medications directly at the clinic, reducing additional pharmacy expenses.

  • check_circle High success outcomes

The clinic reports numerous successful cycles, including first‑try pregnancies, multiple live births, and positive genetic testing results. Success stories span a range of ages and diagnoses, reinforcing the perception of effective clinical results.

What to watch out for at Life IVF Center?

  • warning Inconsistent pain management

At least one patient experienced severe pain during an awake egg retrieval, describing the procedure as traumatic and noting a lack of anesthesia despite a single follicle. The incident involved prolonged needle manipulation and forced re‑entry, leading to lasting discomfort.

  • warning Communication lapses

Several individuals report delayed or absent responses to phone calls, portal messages, and email inquiries, with some waiting weeks for follow‑up after cycle failures. One patient described a lack of post‑procedure contact and difficulty scheduling appointments through the patient portal.

  • warning Billing and storage disputes

Unexpected charges for embryo storage and surprise bills have been cited, with some patients receiving threatening letters about collections for fees they claim were never agreed upon. These financial surprises have contributed to perceptions of a lack of transparency.

  • warning Perceived generic protocols

A subset of patients feels that treatment plans were not sufficiently customized, noting repeated cycles with identical medication regimens despite requests for adjustments. This perception of a one‑size‑fits‑all approach contrasts with the clinic’s advertised personalized care.

This is the most efficient and responsive clinic I have ever worked with. Everyone has been so incredibly helpful and supportive. I’m just starting my egg retrieval but so far it’s been great.

I am writing this review to provide an impartial account of my experience, independent of the clinical outcome. My wife and I were referred here via Kaiser. While we understood that IVF is a complex process, our experience was defined by a lack of guidance, transactional interactions, and poor communication. Initial Consultations and Onboarding Our journey began with a confident in-person consultation. However, I found it concerning that the doctor did not review our labs or medical history during this meeting. As first-time IVF patients, the terminology and contracts were overwhelming. The "welcome call" intended to explain the paperwork was unhelpful; the staff member was difficult to understand, and the specifics regarding the limitations of our plan were not clearly articulated. Communication and Administrative Hurdles The first major issue occurred after our first round. When our embryo testing came back "inconclusive," we received a brief email and one missed call. When I attempted to return the call five minutes later, I was told I had to schedule a formal doctor’s appointment. To speak with someone within 24 hours, an additional fee was required; otherwise, we had to wait 72 hours. After a series of missed connections and scheduling errors on the clinic's part, we finally spoke to a doctor, but received no "next steps" or expert guidance—simply an instruction to return when we were ready. Financial Transparency and "Transactional" Care During the second round, we were blindsided by unexpected charges. We were told mid-appointment that we owed $500 because we had exceeded a set number of visits for the extraction period. This "per-visit" fee was buried in the contract and never verbally highlighted during onboarding. When we filed a complaint, a different doctor acknowledged that communication was a recurring issue with their newer staff. However, the subsequent "clarification" of our contract felt cold. We were explicitly told that the clinic’s low-cost business model does not allow for "hand-holding." It was even suggested that other clinics would not take our case or would simply "drain us" of money—a statement we found ironic, as that was exactly how we felt at this facility. Final Assessment The service throughout was strictly transactional. There were no follow-ups, no strategic game plans, and no expert consultations to review why a round failed or how to improve the next. To this day, we have not had a follow-up conversation with the doctor regarding our last round. While some staff members are pleasant, the overarching culture treats patients as numbers on a checklist. If you are looking for a partnership or a medical team that provides professional guidance and empathy, you may want to look elsewhere. Here, the expectation is clear: provide payment, and the clinic will perform the task, but do not expect any support beyond the bare minimum.

Life IVF clinic failed in an Egg Retrieval procedure on October 10th, '25 due to insensitive handling and communication. The staff was overwhelmed, unsympathetic, and caused the patient severe pain. The procedure was rushed, and anesthesia was advised but

I had an Egg Retrieval on October 10th 2025, with Life IVF. It was the most horrific procedure ever performed on me. I’m 38 years old, and I had one follicle measuring 17 mm on my right ovary. Since it was only one follicle, I opted not to have anesthesia. The Nurse was overloaded with patients and not personable before the procedure. During the procedure, the first doctor entered the follicle with a pinch, but no egg was found. He waited for Dr. Ye to arrive after an hour and had him take a look. Dr. Ye went into the follicle again, this time with no sensitivity. After looking around, he retracted the needle and forcibly re-entered the follicle. By this time, I was grunting in searing pain while my legs were strapped down to the stirrups. Visibly seeing my discomfort, he asked a nurse to hold my torso down. When Dr. Ye finished his examination, I went to the recovery area, where the Nurse showed me what my egg would look like in a couple of days. Then, to my alarm, she told me, “Oh, we did not retrieve an egg; the doctor aspirated a cyst on your right ovary”. Now, a follicle and a cyst look familiar, but not warning me that he was going to drain it was positively barbaric. The pain was unimaginable, and the days following were marked with shooting pain on my right ovary. I can not recommend LIFE IVF to anyone in good conscience. The process was hurried along, the nurses were unsympathetic, and the pain of being awake through my procedure will haunt me. Please opt for Anesthesia!!!!! They say you won’t need it, but you do.

The reviewer had a poor experience with the clinic, which was unprofessional and failed to produce a viable embryo. They were never contacted by a doctor and received a surprise bill for storage of non-viable embryos. The reviewer is seeking follow-up wit

It's been over 10 years since I left a poor review, but this experience was so over the top horrible that I'm taking the time to chronicle it. My wife and I spent tens of thousands of dollars with this clinic and not only did it fail to produce a viable embryo, but we didn't even merit a phone call or contact of any kind after the failure of the last cycle. We never even met with a doctor despite working for months with the clinic, and then two years later we got a surprise bill for thousands of dollars for storage of non viable embryos that we never agreed to. Attempts by phone and in writing to contact the clinic about this were ignored, and now I just got a letter threatening to send this fictional bill to collections. I really can't recall feeling less valued or cared for by any service provider and they've now added insult to injury, with more injury coming if they actually send this made up bill to collections. I'll be following up with the CA Secretary of State regarding the bill I believe to be fraudulent. For the rest: Find another clinic. Reading some of these other comments my experience with LiveIVF was not uncommon. If you want to waste months of your life and tens of thousands of dollars there are far more fun ways to do it.
