I wanted to share how incredible my experience has been at Laurel Fertility Clinic in Modesto. I recently worked with them as a surrogate mother for another couple, and I honestly couldn't have asked for a more supportive team. A huge, special thank you goes to Leslie Barahona. She was so helpful and informative through this entire process and is just amazing. Every time I had a question—and I had plenty—she always took the time to answer everything and address any concerns I had. The staff was also very friendly and I never felt like I was just another appointment on their calendar. They really took the time to explain every single step to me, making sure I was always well-informed and comfortable with what was happening. If you're looking for a clinic that is not only professional but genuinely cares about you as a person, I highly recommend the Modesto office

My husband and I are so grateful for Laurel Fertility Clinic in Modesto. The entire team was kind, supportive, and made us feel cared for every step of the way. We only needed to do one IUI, and it was successful! They explained everything clearly, kept us comfortable through the process, and truly celebrated with us when we got the positive result. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a fertility clinic that genuinely cares and delivers amazing results.

I really don't know where to start. A year ago, my husband and I started going to this clinic because I can't have babies 🚼 they are growing outside the womb and we wanted to try with an in vitro fertilization. They did the tests and said everything was fine before the transfer there were many very expensive tests and an ultrasound. I didn't care. I wanted a child. I paid for them in an ultrasound. They told me I had fibroids. I didn't know what that was at all. They said it didn't affect me so they put it in. After 2 months I went to an ultrasound and I didn't hear it. I was waiting to hear his heart ❤️ but after that I went back with my husband and I can't hear it anymore, it was very painful. They only told me to wait for it to come out on its own or take some pills. But I looked for another option and they told me the same thing, that I can't hear his heart anymore ❤️ I had to have an abortion at home 🏡 it was very painful physically and mentally mind...time passed and I received a message saying I owed a balance of 975 for 2 embryos, I paid them and decided to try again and got an appointment that cost 275 and they told me I had fibroids again they charged me 550 for an ultrasound which according to them is where I knew if the transfer could be done or not and they told me that it affected what because the fibroids were where the baby should grow now I wonder why the first time they didn't tell me that I felt my belly like a ball was growing I thought it was my baby and it wasn't the fibroids it grew too now I don't know if that was the reason why my baby hasn't continued to grow 😢

IVF is a humbling experience, we went in unrealistically thinking we’d get pregnant on our first try, but 3 years, 6 rounds, and 6 transfers later, we finally got pregnant. Not to discourage anyone, but it’s the reality of IVF, there’s no guarantees. Dr. Smikle and his team have never given us false hope but fought and gave us a real chance at starting our family and being an amazing support system to my husband and I. All I can say is, it never was easy, but it was worth it for us, to keep trying and we would do it all over again with Dr. Smilkle and his team. Dr. Smikle and his staff of nurses/MA’s were so comforting and empathetic every single step of the way. A special THANK YOU to the Modesto team, Leslie, Marissa, Melissa, and Celeste. Thank you for holding my hand and offering a comforting hug, you’ll never know how much it meant in that moment. And Dr. Smikle, a gentle giant is how I’d describe him, thank you for your expertise, dedication to your patients and for giving us the best gift we could ever ask for. 6 months along, and feeling the baby kick, is something I never thought would be able to experience, and we are forever grateful to you all. - Viv & Mike
