Our experience was extremely frustrating and ultimately very upsetting. From the beginning, there was no clear point of contact managing our case. We rarely saw the same doctor twice, and every appointment felt like starting from scratch. In a process as sensitive and time-critical as fertility treatment, that lack of consistency made everything much harder than it needed to be.
Communication was another major issue. Updates were slow, questions often went unanswered for long periods, and it was never clear who was actually responsible for decisions about our care. The approach felt standardised and impersonal rather than tailored to our specific situation.
After four failed cycles, we decided to move to a different clinic, where we became pregnant after the first transfer !!!! Tests and treatment options that had never been discussed with us previously were clearly explained, allowing us to make informed decisions. That contrast was difficult to ignore and made us reflect on how much valuable time we may have lost.

Communication has also been slow and inefficient. Responses often take too long, and it feels unclear who is actually overseeing or coordinating the treatment plan. In a process that is already physically and emotionally demanding, this lack of structure adds significant stress.
The overall efficiency of the clinic has been low, and the outcomes have not met expectations. It leaves me feeling confused and helpless about how things are managed internally.
I understand that medical treatment does not guarantee success. However, patients deserve consistency, accountability, and timely communication — especially in such a sensitive and important journey.
At this stage, I feel more tired than supported.

From the very beginning, the team at King’s demonstrated exceptional knowledge, compassion and professionalism. We felt genuinely cared for at every single visit. Appointments were always well organised; we were never left waiting and never felt rushed. Instead, we were consistently met with patience, warmth and the sense that our journey truly mattered to everyone involved.
There are a few members of the team who left such a lasting impression on us that we will never forget them. We already look forward to the day we can tell our child about the people who helped bring them into the world.
Dr Sadaf has been our main point of contact throughout our time at King’s and quite simply, she is a real-life angel. She is incredibly knowledgeable, deeply reassuring and warm. What makes her truly special is her intuitive understanding of her patients — she has an extraordinary ability to read what support you need in any given moment and provide it with kindness and clarity. She was the very first person we met at the clinic and the last person we saw when we were discharged. We feel profoundly grateful to have had her guiding us through this journey and look forward to sharing our future updates with her.
Dr Joanna also went above and beyond to support us. She is exceptionally knowledgeable, kind and calm, and — like Dr Sadaf — has a remarkable ability to ease anxiety during the most stressful moments. Her reassurance and expertise meant so much to us throughout the process.
Finally, a heartfelt thank you to the wonderful Lucy, who has also been rooting for us from the start. It was clear that she was truly invested in our success and cared deeply about our outcome. It meant so much that she made a point of attending our seven-week scan after being present at our transfer with Dr Sadaf. That level of continuity and genuine care is something we will never forget.
We will always be grateful to the entire team at King’s for their expertise, compassion and unwavering support during one of the most important journeys of our lives. What an incredible group of talented and caring professionals you all are, thank you so much for everything.
