We were treated for a long time and went through almost everything until our little miracle saw the light of day.
The entire team at the KiWu Center, from the helpers to the doctors, was always friendly and very competent. We always felt comfortable and well advised. There were never long waiting times and the practice is beautifully designed (I knew it before the renovation, but it’s definitely even nicer now).

Good day. Are there Russian-speaking doctors in this clinic? Or is it possible to come with an interpreter?

We are more than satisfied with the fertility center. We came from Mainz on a recommendation and were happy to do the driving. The team is friendly throughout, everyone has a smile on their faces and all questions are answered.
Ms. Dr. Seehaus always took the time, answered questions by email or telephone, responded immediately to difficulties and also supported us with our ideas. With her open, honest and empathetic nature, we felt very well looked after. But all the other doctors always knew what was going on and gave us great care. After I had severe pain after the puncture, I was looked after very kindly and in the evening Dr. Thöne called again to find out the status of things.
We have experienced things differently before and therefore do not take this service for granted.
We were looked after very well and felt comfortable at all times. Thank you for everything!

I thought for a long time whether I should reveal my experience!
Since I had three unsuccessful IVFs in…
March 22nd, left the clinic relieved without a final interview – now follows my experience report!

I was definitely a stressful case, or rather THE nightmare case of every doctor, both personally and physically.
Due to a doctor’s mistake in my childhood, the probability of pregnancy was more than bad and that was a starting point that I personally didn’t want to and couldn’t simply accept!

That’s why I questioned every statement/diagnosis the doctors made, found out other information, and insisted on a diagnosis
and trusted my gut feeling more than the professional competence of the treating doctors!
Rightly so, as it turned out afterwards!

From June 2021-March 2022 I had a total of 2 inseminations, 3 IVF including hyperstimulation, a cryo with biochemical SS, some surgeries incl. Fallopian tube removal and very poor egg quality and was already 39 years old when treatment began!
So it was no surprise when I was advised to consider egg donation – which I gratefully declined!

How great my distrust of the doctors was became apparent during the 3rd IVF in March 2022.
I contacted Prof. Dr. Strowitzki during the treatment.

When I met him for the first time, I was mentally and physically exhausted, in pain from overstimulation, completely distressed and broke down crying several times during the conversation!

He was so different from the ladies here.
So human, understanding and empathetic! You could tell straight away that for him you weren’t just another desperate woman to make money with!

He checked me out thoroughly (on his own initiative!!!) and confirmed the uneasy feeling I already had with the treating doctors!

In contrast to the doctors, he actually considered a natural pregnancy to be very likely.

So in April 22 he recommended that I give my body a break, as the likelihood of biochemical SS due to overstimulation would be too high!

I looked at him in disbelief and wanted to risk it anyway. I wanted to find out for myself why I trusted him immediately! Was it my gut feeling or was it the straw he gave me and what I longed for!

Well, on April 22 I was actually pregnant – for exactly 3 days!!!

At the end of May 22 I had another positive SS test! I became pregnant again – again naturally and without egg donation!

And that even though I was just 40, had a fallopian tube, very poor egg quality and a mature egg (no idea what quality) but it must have been really good because we recently celebrated our second birthday!

By the way, age was also the reason why I went through the three IVFs here! The KK would have approved a change, but once you turn 40, they won’t take over anything!

It’s been 2 years now and every time I’m near the fertility clinic (our pediatrician is also nearby) I laugh with relief!

Relieved because I fulfilled my greatest wish thanks to my gut feeling and persistence and was brave enough not to blindly trust the statements/diagnoses of doctors and not just accept them – even if I had lost the sympathy of the practice team in doing so…

We can only recommend the KiWu Center Heidelberg. From the first visit, we were always looked after very empathetically and competently by the entire team. Despite having a full-time job, it was always possible to get suitable appointments. We felt very comfortable there as a person and everything was always discussed and adjusted medically so that we ultimately became happy parents of a son. Thank you!

Thanks to Dr Seehaus, I now have a 5-year-old daughter. I found the clinic to be extremely organized, the staff were friendly and I was always taken seriously when I had questions. I would like to thank Dr Seehaus from the bottom of my heart!

From the beginning we felt comfortable and well treated. After 4 years of unsuccessful attempts at a natural pregnancy, with the help of the KWZ Heidelberg we became new parents of a small, healthy boy. A big thank you to all employees and doctors.

We all had female doctors in our treatments and each one was always friendly and very sensitive. You always felt like you were in good hands.
The medical assistants were also always polite and in a good mood. Even if the visits were very late.

We really liked how easy it was to make appointments. You can choose the doctor of your choice and the opening hours are unbeatable (especially for working people who can’t always take time off).

We are very happy with our decision to have taken the path and found the right practice for ourselves. It wasn’t easy, but everything was tried…with success!

Dr Theresia Schröder is a highly recommended gynecologist. I have been a patient with her for over two years and I feel very well looked after. The assistants and other doctors are also top notch. Everyone warmly welcomes you on the phone and on site. Dr. Schröder takes enough time to answer your questions and answers them very precisely.
