I can recommend the fertility clinic and especially Dr. Recommend Jirecek wholeheartedly! After coming from another clinic desperate and frustrated with 5 IVF attempts, 9 unsuccessful transfers and a total of 17 eggs inserted without ever becoming pregnant, I had little hope left. In the old clinic, everything was examined from A to Z, but the hoped-for success did not materialize. Dr. Jirecek impressed us not only with his competence and extensive specialist knowledge, but also with his empathetic and supportive nature. It worked on the first attempt at this clinic - we are overjoyed and endlessly grateful for our upcoming happiness. Dr. Jirecek and the entire team accompanied and supported us on every step of the journey. Her professionalism and commitment are truly remarkable. We couldn't be happier and would like to say a huge thank you! If we plan to have our second child, we will definitely come back and never anywhere else. Family S.

Update after response: I sent emails and called (30 May), but no reply. After my update, I received an email saying that someone had tried to call me on my cell phone. I responded on 7 June asking to fix an appointment for the call. We resorted to PKD in the aftermath of the Corona crisis, when travelling for medical treatment became difficult. Diagnosed with low ovarian reserve and autoimmunity, I had previously been treated successfully with IVF (one child) in Munich at kiiz. PKD was recommended as a clinic with knowledge in “IVF/ICSI Naturelle”, a method developed in CH targeted at women with low ovarian reserve. Although we had very recent (less than six months) results of bloodwork, we had to repeat it at PKD and were told that these were the “Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)”. This applied also to a particular test my husband had already undergone because of a specific marker in his blood. All other clinics had accepted the result we had and had assured us that it needed to be made just one time in life. We started treatment and I saw a specific doctor several times for ultrasounds and instructions on medication and bloodwork. On the day of the ovarian punction to retrieve an egg cell, I was surprised that before any preparations took place, ultrasound examination to see if the egg cell was still there was not foreseen. It is common that the ovulation has already taken place and no IVF / ICSI is possible. I would then simply go home as there would be no more egg cell to fertilize and spare the costs of laboratory work, hoping to try again in the next cycle. This ultrasound typically takes about one minute. Different to what I was known from the centers specialized in IVF Naturelle, I was required to wait in a room at PKD similar to a motel room for about one hour, dressed in a hospital gown and slippers. When I saw the doctor he started with an ultrasound and, voila, the ovulation had already happened, no more egg cell there and I could go home (or to work) again. The invoice I received by email several days later, included entries for laboratory work and when I asked why these were conducted before it was confirmed that there was an egg cell to work with, the answer was again “SOPs”. So we paid. More than two years later, after some weeks abroad, I found in our postbox letters of a debt collection company, relating to an invoice by PremiQuaMed. I could not find any related invoice. PremiQuaMed is a company managing private clinics, including PKD. The letters made reference to an invoice of about 200 Euros which had increased to almost 600 Euros because of the added charges of the debt collector. I wrote emails to both PremiQuMed and the debt collector, asking which invoice the letters referred to. After some time the debt collector informed that they would not give any information and PKD informed by email that the charges were related to conservation of semen for IVF/ICSI. We did not even know that semen had been conserved. We had conserved it at other clinics and before sending an invoice, they had asked via email if continuous preservation was our wish. Before handing over our data to a debt collector, we would have expected communication by email. This channel of communication, including invoices and prescriptions had been agreed in writing in 2020. In addition, we still did not have the original invoice. I asked, why was it not sent by email, or at least, if sent by mail and no payment received, why was not a short notice sent by email. Some days later, I received an email from a lawyer, sending the invoice as attachment in pdf format and mentioning that the overall amount had again increased. There seems to be economic pressure on the PKD. This might be the reason why an embryologist with a MSc degree is being tasked with preparing invoices and providing client data clients to cash collection companies. It seems also that one department does not know what the other is doing and communication culture is poor.
