DO NOT GO TO KINDBODY FOR FERTILITY TREATMENT. I trusted this clinic & was met with nothing but incompetence and disappointment. They do not appropriately review your bloodwork—which they charge you hundreds of dollars for & make out to be critical in developing your treatment plan. They also accept no responsibility or explanation for not doing the job you paid them for-interpreting your BLOODWORK & scans to create a plan. I went here following a miscarriage, hoping to have a child. Drew the bloodwork, did the scans, was told everything looked great & optimistic outlook. Due to life being busy, I trusted this professional opinion I paid for ($$$$) only to realize after treatments they didn’t review my lab work thoroughly—if they had, they would’ve realized my blood type on their labs didn’t match what I had reported to them in my previous bloodwork & paperwork; KindBody labs showed I was A negative, my prior labs had me as O negative (as well as years of donating blood with the American Red Cross; I also verified this with another lab draw & without a doubt, my blood type is O negative). They essentially treated me based off of someone else’s bloodwork for three treatment cycles & were completely unaware!! My AMH dropped from 1.7 before my time at KindBody to 0.4-that of a post-menopausal woman after treatments, which has been emotionally devastating, as it’s a lab they place such high value on in fertility treatments. When I realized the error in my bloodwork-three cycles into treatment, the response from the nurse was “No, that’s your blood/type” & from Dr Reynolds Marelic was “oh, this is so weird, never seen this before”-well doctor, if you had appropriately reviewed & interpreted my bloodwork—you would’ve caught this simple error, but you failed miserably. Then the office manager Janeen proceeded to call me & tell me they did nothing wrong?!—I’m not understanding how there is no responsibility for a doctor and clinic to interpret my bloodwork to develop a treatment plan after I paid them thousands of dollars. Janeen, with zero sensitivity repeatedly demanded on the phone “what do you want to do next” & laughed when I said I wanted a refund. Following the laughter, I said obviously I want to have a baby, but clearly not with a clinic that treats patients this way; with such disrespect & incompetence. Not recognizing an error in blood type on lab work is embarrassing, negligent and places the patient at great risk. A bloodwork result of A negative type when the patient reported their blood type as O negative on multiple forms and previous bloodwork is a simple, yet unacceptable oversight for providers who have taken an oath to do no harm. Not to mention, if I had an emergency & needed to receive blood based off their lab work/interpretation I would’ve likely experienced an incompatibility issue/maybe death by being given the wrong blood. KindBody website even highlights how important knowing ones blood type is for determining proper treatment. Furthermore, when they redrew my bloodwork, I was repeatedly told I would not be charged for this bloodwork & here I am several months later still receiving bills for over $1000 from the lab company. Other issues-scheduling was always difficult due to the doctor commuting from a city hours away, ultrasound staff seemed to be constantly new. In review, I received no respect, no apology and no one at KindBody has accepted any responsibility for their obvious error, they simply just blamed others. It doesn’t matter how the error was made, the KindBody staff-Dr ReynoldsM, the nurses, someone at KindBody should’ve thoroughly reviewed my results and immediately recognized the discrepancy with the blood type and brought it to everyone’s attention—which they completely FAILED to do. KindBody Columbus and Dr Reynolds-Marelic should be ashamed for their failure to recognize simple lab errors and respond appropriately. This experience showed me KindBody only cares about making money and not about providing high quality, thorough patient care. DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS CLINIC.

Dr. Marelic deserves 5 stars she is absolutely amazing but sadly the company isn't. Their finance team is terrible and communication is so poor, they were rude and very unhelpful. They are also $2500 more than the other clinic I looked at locally. So sadly I have to save $2k and go elsewhere.

Kindbody has made our dream possible. They have showed us love during our experience and made the process as easy as possible. We are pregnant and able to grow our baby, it wouldn’t be possible without the wonderful staff at Kindbody. We are more than thankful for them and can’t wait for our next journey with them.

I had my egg retrieval with them recently. The staff was very supportive, kind and patient. Nurse Laquita is AMAZING!! Dr. Reynolds Marelic is awesome! I had to travel from the Detroit area the morning of my procedure at the Columbus clinic. It was a stressful drive with a 40 minute traffic jam. I was worried I would miss the appointment. I was a little late from the arrival time they had asked of me but they were there waiting for me and had everything ready to go when I got there. They really eased all of my worries and frustrations. I truly appreciate their incredible "bedside manners."

It's hard to separate the sadness of my personal results from my opinion of Kindbody, but for what it's worth, they seem to be fine on the medical side of things. The individuals I interacted with were all pleasant, and their office is stylishly decorated. The area I really found them lacking in was the administrative side, specifically with regards to coordinating between the medical and administrative teams. I would frequently get messages from either the admins or the nurses that amounted to "you're in X stage of your cycle, so we need to schedule an appointment for Y today" or worse, "you were supposed to have started A yesterday" when I hadn't been informed of A, and my work makes it difficult for me to drop everything and run off to a last minute appointment. Basically, you need to really advocate for yourself by actively messaging them for every stage and even if you don't think something is coming up, you need to ask, because they might just forget to tell you about it. Once you've gotten a cycle or two under your belt, you have a better sense of what to expect, but the first one feels really blind and uncoordinated. They also don't seem to get any notification for entering your period dates into the widget on their website that says it will notify your medical team, because they're always surprised if I haven't messaged directly about it, and always ask the date when I get into the office, so I am not sure what black hole that info disappears into (maybe it's broken). Once they've got the info on the medical side, they seem to proceed fine, it's the notification and response to the patient that is a little sparse, so while I don't think it had any big affect on my unfortunate outcome, the stress of the retrievals from what felt like last minute calls and not being sure what or when I needed to ask or be notified of was significant. From what I can tell, my specific clinic still seems relatively new, so some of this may be explained by them simply not yet getting into the rhythm and being used to the process themselves, so they probably deserve some grace in that regard. I hope they will improve in the future, because it's an important service, but my lifetime insurance benefits are pretty much dried up after all I've been through, so I don't know that I'll get to find out if they do improve in the future.
