This is my first negative review, but I feel I owe it to the fertility community to share my experience so others understand what they are signing up for when they entrust Kindbody with their future family.
We went through four unsuccessful cycles—three rounds of timed cycling and one IUI. The first round went as well as it could. The staff was kind and responsive, and although we didn’t get the results we hoped for, we felt comfortable trying again.
The second round was completely different. No nurse was present during my ultrasounds, only the technician. I was told I would receive phone calls if my medication regimen changed, but despite constant adjustments, I only received updates through the portal at the end of the day. This left me scrambling from pharmacy to pharmacy to find what I needed so I could start treatment that same night. I was never told why these changes were being made.
Even though I had fertility insurance through Mayven and wasn’t charged for the first procedure, Kindbody said I owed $500 out of pocket. They charged me twice because they failed to link my account with my husband’s. On one visit for lab work, the needle slid out of my arm and the nurse shoved it back in. When I told her it hurt, she replied, “It did? I’m sorry, this must be a bad batch of needles.” After all of this, I was told I had grown too many eggs and the procedure had to be canceled. At that point, I was livid and ready to switch clinics.
I voiced my concerns to the doctor and spoke with a clinic manager. They were apologetic, admitted they weren’t sure why I was ever charged, and promised adjustments to restore my confidence in their practice. I appreciated the olive branch and decided to continue. We were already approved through our insurance to do one more round of timed cycling and then an IUI. Anyone going through fertility challenges knows timing is everything, and starting over at a new clinic would have delayed everything.
The remaining visits went smoothly, but after two more unsuccessful rounds, I needed a break. We decided to move to another clinic when we were ready to try again. At the new clinic, the doctor discovered polyps causing inflammation that directly affected implantation. Kindbody missed this important factor. I was also told that, because I have PCOS, I needed additional medication since I was resistant to follicle-stimulating hormones. Kindbody knew I had PCOS and never offered these medications, even though I wasn’t responding to the hormones and had to stay on them longer with dosage changes.
Despite my frustration, I had no intention of writing a negative review. I simply wanted to move forward. But now we’ve started receiving notices for a $900 invoice. For the past eight months, we’ve gone back and forth with Kindbody’s billing department about why we owe this charge when our insurance covered everything. We repeatedly asked for detailed, itemized breakdowns, but they never provided them. A week ago, we began receiving collection notices.
We now live in Alabama, without fertility insurance, trying to budget for a new treatment plan—and we are being harassed by Kindbody. This is where I draw the line. Do not trust this company with your future. It simply isn’t worth it.

Kindbody in Atlanta is a HORRIBLE place to go for your fertility needs! We have been coming here for almost a year now but that is only because of our insurance or else we would have left this place a long time ago!
The front desk staff are NEVER welcoming. Every single time I go in, they never acknowledge me or welcome me. You would think if you work in a fertility clinic the staff ESPECIALLY the front desk employees would be welcoming. Absolutely NOT HERE. The ladies that take your blood ESPECIALLY Andrea are always in a bad mood too. When I try asking Andrea any type of question, she ALWAYS responds with an attitude.
We also had a horrible experience finding out we had miscarried our first time. When I went in for my first ultrasound to check the sac and heartbeat, the main ultrasound tech whispered to the other nurse that was in the room with us about our miscarry. Instead of her telling us first, we found out by them whispering it to one another. It was very unprofessional.
At first, I thought the only good doctor in this clinic was Dr. Cain but later found out we are only really a number to her. It seems like she is the only main fertility doctor here and doesn't even know who is who when she is communicating with her patients. On my second transfer, I insisted I get my progesterone levels checked the day before my transfer. Dr. Cain told me they normally don't check that but would check it if I wanted to. Well they checked my progesterone level and it was on the lower side. The next morning Dr. Cain had me raise my dose a few hours before my transfer. After my transfer, they rechecked my levels and they were within range. Imagine if I never asked to get my progesterone levels checked.
Overall, this place is HORRIBLE! The worst experience for such a vulnerable time in my life. I would NOT recommend this place at all! Please consider finding a caring and welcoming place for your fertility needs elsewhere!
