After two years of trying to conceive, we came across this clinic. Unfortunately, I was diagnosed with PCOS and had difficulty getting pregnant naturally. Together with the doctors, we decided on IVF! Today we had the fetal heart ultrasound, and I'm actually pregnant after the first embryo transfer! All the doctors, embryologists, and of course the receptionists were always incredibly kind, helpful, and honest! I can wholeheartedly recommend this clinic to EVERYONE! Thank you for everything!!!

Absolutely heartfelt recommendation 💛 We always felt in the best possible hands, even though our path was unfortunately long and rocky. We walked it with you, and you gave us so much courage not to give up. Choosing your clinic was the key for us, because now we have our miracle lying next to us, and we are truly grateful for that. We would choose you again and again. 💛

We went to the Ivy Fertility Center for our second miracle. The atmosphere, the friendly welcome—you're treated like a person, not a number—and the professional discussions with clear explanations were a huge part of our experience from the beginning to the first ultrasound. The entire staff is always friendly, and on bad days/with bad results, there are always words of encouragement. We were able to meet a wonderful team, and a year later, thanks to their help, we are holding our second miracle in our arms. Thank you for everything.

IVY Kinderwunsch‑Klinik is inclusive of LGBTQ+ families and explicitly offers fertility solutions for same‑sex couples. The clinic’s ROPA‑Methode (Reception of Oocytes from Partner) enables lesbian couples to share genetic material, allowing one partner to provide the oocyte and the other to carry the pregnancy. Additionally, the center supports male couples through sperm‑donation and surrogacy coordination. Staff are trained to address the unique medical and legal considerations of same‑sex families, ensuring compassionate, personalized care throughout the assisted reproduction process.
Who are the fertility doctors and specialists at IVY Kinderwunsch-Klinik? expand_more
IVY Kinderwunsch-Klinik is led by a multidisciplinary team of reproductive endocrinologists and fertility specialists. Key physicians include Dr. Thomas Duscha, who heads the medical department, Dr. Melanie Kollmann-Miletic, Dr. Lisa Ehart, Dr. Magdalena Haider‑Pabinger, and Dr. Mohamad Nabhan, all board‑certified in gynecology and reproductive medicine. Supporting the physicians are senior embryologists, laboratory technicians, and dedicated nursing staff who ensure comprehensive patient care throughout the assisted reproduction journey.
What is the history and background of IVY Kinderwunsch-Klinik? expand_more
IVY Kinderwunsch‑Klínik was founded in 2020, building on the legacy of the IVF‑ and Kinderwunsch‑Institut Prof. Dr. Tews, which originated in 2014. The clinic’s founding father, Univ.-Prof. Dr. Gernot Tews, brought 25 years of experience from leading the fertility center at the Frauenklinik Linz and served as president of the Austrian Society of Reproductive Medicine. Since its opening in Wels, IVY has grown into a comprehensive reproductive center, expanding its services to include egg donation, ROPA for same‑sex couples, and a dedicated immunology program. The clinic is accredited as a contract partner of the Austrian IVF‑Fund, underscoring its commitment to high‑quality, financially accessible fertility care.
Does IVY Kinderwunsch-Klinik offer egg donation for IVF treatment? expand_more
Yes, IVY Kinderwunsch‑Klinik provides a fully regulated egg‑donation program. Donor oocytes are sourced from women aged 18‑30 years, with strict screening and legal documentation in accordance with Austrian reproductive‑medicine law. The clinic coordinates the retrieval, fertilization and subsequent embryo transfer for recipients, ensuring that donor anonymity is respected while complying with the requirement that the donor’s identity be recorded for future child‑rights. Success rates for donor‑egg cycles are comparable to standard IVF, offering a viable pathway for women with diminished ovarian reserve or other fertility challenges.
What fertility treatments and services does IVY Kinderwunsch-Klinik offer? expand_more
IVY Kinderwunsch-Klinik provides a full spectrum of assisted reproduction services. Core treatments include natural cycle IVF, conventional IVF, and ICSI/p‑ICSI for cases of reduced sperm quality. The clinic also offers intrauterine insemination (IUI), cycle‑monitoring with Verkehr zum optimalen Zeitpunkt (VZO), and comprehensive cryopreservation (vitrification) of embryos, oocytes, sperm and tissue. Specialized programs feature egg donation, sperm donation, the ROPA‑Methode for lesbian couples, and advanced immunological diagnostics such as killer‑cell testing. Additional services encompass pre‑implantation genetic testing (PGT‑A/M), fertility preservation for cancer patients, and holistic support through nutrition, yoga and psychological counseling.
What IVF laboratory technology does IVY Kinderwunsch-Klinik use? expand_more
The IVF laboratory at IVY Kinderwunsch-Klinik employs state‑of‑the‑art vitrification (rapid cryopreservation) to freeze embryos, oocytes, sperm and tissue at –196 °C, achieving near‑100 % survival rates after thawing. Embryo culture is performed in controlled‑environment incubators that maintain optimal temperature, humidity and low oxygen tension to support blastocyst development. The clinic also utilizes time‑lapse monitoring for continuous embryo assessment and adheres to strict quality standards certified by Austrian reproductive medicine regulations, ensuring high laboratory reliability and safety for all assisted reproduction cycles.
What is the maximum age for IVF treatment at IVY Kinderwunsch-Klinik? expand_more
IVY Kinderwunsch‑Klinik follows the Austrian IVF‑Fund guidelines, which set the upper age limit for women at 40 years at the start of treatment. Men may be treated up to 50 years of age. These age thresholds apply to IVF, ICSI and related assisted reproduction cycles. While the clinic may consider individual cases beyond these limits, funding from the IVF‑Fund is not available, and success rates naturally decline with advancing maternal age. The clinic provides thorough counseling on age‑related expectations and alternative options such as egg donation for women over the limit.
