Patient experienced poor care, communication, and a horrible transfer experience at IFI. Staff, including Dr. Provost, were condescending and didn't listen. The patient eventually transferred care to another clinic, which was a significant improvement.

If you value patient care, communication and prefer to not advocate for yourself the entire way this is not the place for you. I should have listened to my gut several times before my transfer. Haley and Dr. Jarret are both lovely providers and know how to do damage control, but didn’t necessarily listen when I questioned why the protocol was different from one proven to work for me. The nursing staff is horrible. Multiple times I got told to start medications I hadn’t even been prescribed yet, showed up to appointments that weren’t put on the schedule, wasn’t called with lab results/next steps and was given different information from everyone I talked to. I don’t blame IFI for my failed transfer, but I do blame them for a horrible experience. I consulted with Dr. Provost after my failed transfer which to me was a bit odd to be poached by another doctor, but she was the one that called with negative lab results. If I decided to stay there I would have stuck with Dr. Jarret as I did not vibe with Dr. Provost. It’s not great practice to be condescending towards the only doctor (another clinic) who was able to get me a child — laughing at his notes, commenting on the small amount of cycles that clinic did and disregarding a protocol proven to work for me. When I told her I felt like I was a back burner patient because I did my embryo retrieval somewhere else she admitted most transfer patients feel somewhat that way. When I decided to move my embryos to another clinic it was days after I sent a portal message that I got someone to call me back. One plus is IFI did cover the cost to move our embryos because they knew I lost all trust in them. I just figured I lucked out at my first clinic and that was out of the norm, but it’s not, because the new clinic I’m at has already been a night and day difference. Lesson learned to do my own research and not go somewhere off the recommendation of one person.
