Great staff, horrible facilities. Stale, old, dirty and unaccomodating. Go anywhere else.

In-person, the staff is excellent, and I feel well supported during onsite visits. However, this practice primarily operates with in-person visits limited to labs and ultrasounds, while consultations and check-ins are virtual. Since February, I have not spoken with a provider since my virtual appointment on 10/30/25. This would be acceptable if communication were a clear priority, but that has not been my experience. At my 10/30 visit, I was informed that my varicella titer from labs drawn on 10/06/25 was low and that a booster was recommended; due to timing, the booster was waived. In December, I had an anovulatory cycle and was advised to wait until January to begin timed intercourse with letrozole and a trigger shot. January proceeded as planned. During the subsequent cycle, multiple issues occurred: my trigger shot was sent to the wrong pharmacy despite a specific request for Pharmacy Advantage due to Henry Ford insurance coverage, resulting in prior authorization delays. I was asked to resolve the issue myself due to incorrect address information, and the office could not confirm where the prescription had been sent. Additionally, the letrozole prescription was written incorrectly—5 tablets of 2.5 mg instead of the required 10—and this occurred over a weekend. This process is already emotionally and physically challenging, and these administrative and communication issues added unnecessary stress. For those with the option, I would recommend considering another fertility clinic for greater peace of mind.

We had a successful round of IVF and birth of our sons with Dr. Abuzeid, but our experience with Henry ford and MyChart was poor. Our second FET failed and we were forced to switch doctors due to Dr. Abuzeid's departure.

This is a positive and negative review due to different experiences. My husband and I started our journey with Dr. Abuzeid in 2022. Dr. Abuzeid was wonderful, the staff were very attentive and caring. You were assigned a nurse and their phone extension because they were not a part of MyChart yet. That person became your main point of contact, which was great. They were quick to answer questions and give you a step by step of what you needed to do. We had a successful round of IVF in 2022, resulting in the birth of our boy in 2023. My husband and I decided to try another round and did a frozen embryo transfer in September of 2024. This was a whole different experience. Henry ford took over and so did MyChart. MyChart absolutely destroyed the personable, friendly, caring part of the whole IVF clinic and experience. You’re constantly playing phone tag. Nobody answers their phone and the front desk will tell you to send a MyChart message. If you call the on call nurse-nobody answers. You have to leave messages every time you call anybody there. Even billing. And there is no telling when they will call you back. On MyChart- it/they will leave you on, “ read by staff at date and time”. You have an assigned nurse but, you never talk to them and never see them. so in my experience, it was almost like a guessing game on what I was supposed to be doing and what they wanted/needed me to do. Our FET in 2024 failed unfortunately and the nurse I had the day I found out our baby didn’t make it was amazing. The lab staff is also super great. But the rest need to quit relying so heavily on MyChart. I received a letter in July 2025 that Dr. Abuzeid was no longer there so we had our last 2 embryos shipped elsewhere because he was the only reason we were willing to drive 3 hours one way to have him as our fertility doctor.

Clinic staff is attentive but scheduling is unreliable, causing last-minute cancellations and inconvenience.

I have mixed feelings. Every time I visit the clinic, the staff is very responsible and attentive. However, lately, I’m not sure if it’s due to a lack of organization, but my last two appointments were canceled at the very last minute. I understand that some things are beyond anyone’s control, but making me wait until five minutes before the appointment to cancel? That’s unreasonable. They also scheduled me for what was supposed to be a lab appointment (it even appeared in MyChart), and when I arrived at the clinic, I was told there had been an error and that no appointment was actually scheduled for that day. My life doesn’t revolve around the clinic — I have many other responsibilities, and last-minute cancellations like this are really inconvenient.

Disappointing experience at Henry Ford Reproductive Medicine due to lack of clinical expertise and poor transition after Dr. Abuzeid’s retirement. Staff were kind, but unable to handle complex cases. Time and money were wasted with no real outcome.

Unfortunately, my experience with Henry Ford Reproductive Medicine in Rochester Hills was disappointing. I started treatment with the intention of doing a specialized IVF protocol under Dr. Abuzeid, but by the time I was ready to move forward, he had retired. The doctors who took over are only capable of handling standard IVF cases. They lack the experience and knowledge to work with customized or complex protocols. One of the most frustrating parts was when the new doctor told us that the only option for my wife was to use an egg donor, with no other alternatives offered. We later sought a second opinion from a more experienced specialist at another clinic, who reviewed the same test results and confidently said that my wife could still use her own eggs. While the staff at Henry Ford are kind and easy to reach, the clinical expertise just is not there anymore. The transition after Dr. Abuzeid’s retirement was poorly handled, and it cost us both valuable time and money with no real outcome. If you need anything beyond basic IVF, I would not recommend this clinic.
