Had a wonderful experience with Henry Fertility, with successful twin pregnancy. Staff were thorough and knowledgeable, provided a game plan and good communication. Treatment was easier than anticipated.

My husband and I had a wonderful experience with Henry Fertility, I could not recommend them enough! Dr.Henry and his staff are very thorough and knowledgeable about the whole IVF process. They had a game plan for me even when the HSG showed new evidence and they had a new plan immediately after. From the HSG confirming I had to do IVF to have children, to the 10 week ultrasound scan reaffirming my twins were thriving in my uterus, I felt supported and truly heard. They answered every question I had whether it was in person, on the phone or in an email. It’s not easy being told both your fallopian tubes are occluded and have to come out. Then you can do all the steps for something as daunting as IVF. Surgeries and procedures seem so scary. And then you ask all the questions and realize “Oh, that’s not so bad” and “This was way easier than I anticipated” Truly a positive experience that I fully intend to do again.

We were with Henry Fertility for a year (4 IUIs, 1 canceled egg retrieval, 1 egg retrieval, and 3 embryo transfers - all failed), before we moved on to a different clinic. I was not aware of the lack of care I was receiving before switching clinics. Also, I waited to write this review until we had success at our new clinic. I got pregnant within 6 months at my new clinic because my doctor saw me as an individual and provided actual solutions rather than getting me in and out as quickly as possible. Before our last embryo transfer with Dr. Henry - I asked Danielle, “Is there ANYTHING else we can do before this last transfer? This is our last opportunity. Any extra testing? Vitamins? Medication changes?” Her response was, “be the healthiest you can be”. Not only did that immediately put the blame on me, but it was a complete copout. There were in fact other things I could have done - within one visit at my new clinic, I was told to take x,y,z vitamins, saline sonogram, HSG test, full blood panel, and we were told to switch our sperm donor (using donor sperm due to MFI). On my first visit with my new doctor, she pointed out that the sperm we were using the entire time at Henry had non-progressive motility. I was shocked that this was missed. That would have saved us 4 IUIs AND an IVF cycle using that donor. All it took was my new doctor actually taking the time to deep dive into my records. When I asked Dr. Henry if he had any possible explanation for our transfers not working, he said “well your eggs didn’t look great” without any further explanation. This led us to believe we wouldn’t have success with IVF and were discussing embryo adoption. Had I listened to Dr. Henry, I wouldn’t be typing this pregnant with my own egg that was actually perfectly fine. My new doctor explained exactly what she saw with my eggs and thought it maybe was because my STIM meds were too high. She was right. Since I was a poor responder to the meds, Dr. Henry’s solution was to pump up the dosage. I was on 525 of Menopur AND 525 of Gonal, which looking back is INSANE. Both say on their packaging not to go higher than 450. Not only did this tank the quality of my eggs, which I do believe was why none of the transfers stuck, but it also cost us an extra $15k in medications. There is no evidence that shows a dose higher than the max of 450 will yield better results - it is actually doing more harm than good and a complete money pit. My new doctor completely changed my IVF protocol because I was a poor responder. Dr. Henry had the opportunity to make a change as I had a canceled cycle giving him data to go off of. We instead just bulldozed ahead with a higher dose. I want to point out that this clinic batches patients.I felt there were too many patients and not enough nurses. It felt like herding cattle every time I went in for a monitoring Ultrasound. They do it first come first serve and tell you to make sure you arrive before they open so you don’t have to wait. This made it so stressful, especially traveling from Terre Haute. I would leave my house at 6:00 am to hopefully not have to wait an hour for an ultrasound. I also wouldn’t hear from the nurses until sometimes 6 or 7 PM for my daily med dosage. It was just completely unnecessary added stress. Please do your research on this clinics' success rates. The proof is in the data. Dr. Henry is a nice person and a good doctor so it does make me sad to write this, but maybe he just has too many patients he is trying to juggle which takes away from the individual care everyone deserves when trying to start a family. Things slipped through the cracks. I fear this is going to get worse as Henry is opening more satellite offices, which means more patients. I feel it is important to share our story as we had a COMPLETELY opposite experience at our new clinic.I truly do not feel like our success with them was luck but rather individualized care that everyone deserves. Henry follows a plan A for everyone, and you will struggle if your body doesn't respond to that protocol. There's no plan B or C.

My husband and I went through Henry Fertility in 2020. We are very fortunate that our ivf journey ended up with healthy twins after the first round of ivf. Before ivf, we had 1 failed iui that resulted in an ectopic pregnancy. Both procedures were done through Henry Fertility. The staff at Henry Fertility was always available to answer questions, kind, and informative. They took calls and emails after hours. Dr. Henry was always informative and thorough. He explained the process to us, the medications, and next steps. I also had several appointments after confirmation of twins before being released to my ob. I appreciate how thorough he was before releasing me. I found the costs to also be reasonable. We couldn’t have had a better experience through the difficult journey.

I wish I would have explored my options before landing on Henry Fertility. I chose this out of convenience, because they were coming to the Voss Center which is local for me. My initial appointment went great, Dr Henry explained everything. I left feeling about 75% comfortable with the plan. I left with follow up questions, naturally, after having all of that information thrown at you. The nurses in office never wanted to answer my questions. I was talked down to and dismissed on several occasions. My latest phone call started like this- you didn’t call when you started your period. I said I didn’t know I needed to, as I wasn’t planning on starting until March. Helen’s response was- well the nurse in office went over all of that with you. Actually, she didn’t. As we weren’t going to be doing it right now. And proceeded to tell me I would now not get to proceed with my cycle. Another time I called with questions I had a million abbreviations thrown at me and felt degraded because I didn’t speak at their level. I finally emailed Helen, and let her know that I too was a nurse and couldn’t believe the way in which she talked to people. The response I received was shocking- ultimately telling me I needed to take my business elsewhere. Which, thank god. What a blessing in disguise. To top all of this off, I went to leave a review on fb and was blocked. The actual pettiness. Don’t worry, the review will still be placed. Please, do yourself a favor and take your business elsewhere. It’s bad enough going through the fertility issues but to have nurses displaying 0 compassion- nah. I’ll happily explore my options!

Honestly cannot recommend this place based on the service I have had so far. Dr. Henry seemed knowledgeable and had a game plan in place. His staff was supposed to call in prescriptions for me last week and that still hasn't been done. I've emailed and tried calling without a response. Based on this alone I do not feel confident that this practice has my best interests at heart or a level of care that I deem acceptable. Really disappointed and disheartening to experience this right after my first appointment. * Follow up edit* After waiting 2 weeks for them to actually call in my prescriptions I foolishly kept my ultrasound appointment because I really like Dr. Henry and just thought this could still work out. When I confirmed everything with the clinic I was never told this was out of my network and I would have to pay out of pocket. $315 for an ultrasound is insane. At this point I will have to move to a different clinic and start over again.
