The clinic is beautiful and modern, but unfortunately we were not satisfied with the attitude of the staff, together with the neglect of diagnosis. Now that we have a comparison with another clinic we moved to, I can make a better judgement. At the Gynem clinic, we went to a different doctor each time, which may not bother anyone, but given the sensitive situations that couples experience, it felt impersonal. We felt that we were treated there more as numbers than as individuals. No doctor we met had a personal and empathetic approach. At the new clinic, during the initial consultation, they immediately performed hormonal and immunological tests on me, and they did smears on me for various possible causes of the problems. In a short period of time, they found out things that could have been solved a long time ago. The husband had bad spermiogram results for a long time, and they did it repeatedly at the Gynem, but they never looked into it further. At the new clinic, after the second bad spermiogram, he was immediately sent to urology, where they discovered a long-untreated disease. After treatment with antibiotics and three months, the husband now has a normal sperm count. If they had dealt with this at the Gynem clinic, we could have been in a different situation a long time ago. When I asked the doctor at Gyne if there could be some hidden cause of my problems, I was told that there could be many causes, but that finding out is a waste of time and that they don't solve it there. At the new clinic, they helped us figure out why we can't get pregnant, and now we're on the right track. The last straw that made us change the clinic was when I came for insemination and told the doctor that according to the temperature measurement I thought I was two days after ovulation. He confirmed with an ultrasound that ovulation had already taken place, but still carried out the insemination, saying that it was okay. If I had more information then, I would not have undergone the procedure and thus not lose the attempt. This is my personal experience, everyone may have a different one. But if you are looking for a personal approach and an effort to find out the cause of the failure and the subsequent tailor-made treatment, I believe that you will not find it at Gynem. Dr. Mrázek, to whom I used to go for gynecology, was an angel, and if he had still worked at the clinic, I believe that our experience would have been different.
