Ginemed Sevilla – Reviews and Prices

We were fortunate enough to become parents again a few months ago with the help of “Ginemed Sevilla”. It has been several years trying in every possible way and after suffering and accepting this hard process, we decided to bet on you. I appreciate the kindness and professionalism of the entire team that treated us, highlighting the efficiency of our coordinator Macarena and our gynecologist, Francisco Bujalance, a doctor who is always correct, respectful and who treats his patients with the delicacy that we need most in those moments. It’s been a year since that dream was possible. All our gratitude is insufficient for this gift that life, Science, your valuable work and for the generosity of the donors has given us: our infinite gratitude.

I want to thank the Gimed Sevilla clinic for the treatment and professionalism with which they have treated and received us, especially Dr. Manuel Estevez and his coordinator Araceli Moron.
In my first attempt with the treatment received and after several failed attempts at another center, I am already pregnant!

We’re currently going through IVF and are having a very bad experience. Our doctor appears to always be in a rush. She explains everything very quickly assuming a level of knowledge that, with this being our first time, we simply don’t have. The “coordinator” I have yet to witness coordinate anything and is very hard to get in contact with. It’s a struggle even to get hold of reception at times. Ginemed makes grand claims but the reality is very different. This has been an incredibly stressful and exacerbating experience that has put undue stress on my partner. As practitioners they are fine. The facilities appear to be good. But their organisation, logistics, communication and empathy leave a lot to be desired. We’re still tied in for this round of treatment but my recommendation is to look for someplace else.

Dr. Patricio my Doctor at Ginemed in Sevilla and Michelle Gray ( International Coordinator) at Ginemed Clinic did a marvelous job during my treatment at the clinic. In fact though I came all the way from Africa to do the treatment in Spain, they treated me with dignity and respect. Michelle is a very wonderful woman who understands the stress IVF patients goes through.. After attempting IVF severally at different clinics and different countries, I am finally a mother. Thanks to God and this wonderful Dr. Patricio and Michelle Gray. I am using this platform to say thank you for walking me through my journey.

I came from another clinic very discouraged and at Ginemed Sevilla at first I have my positive thanks for the human quality of the entire team and especially Rocío Cascajosa; my coordinator and Dr. Juan Carlos Lozano for their support and closeness throughout the treatment. After amenorrhea for quite some time, I decided to start the process of signing up for assisted reproduction.

Because our problem is that I am not ovulating, we decided to turn to Ginemed for an ovulation induction program.

They explained to us that the treatment cost 300 euros. On the contract sheet we saw that, in the small print, it appeared that the medication was the responsibility of the patient and, being new to this, we thought it would be around 100-150 euros. It was a mistake on our part to assume this after reading the fine print, but we are surprised by the complete lack of information and transparency of the clinic by not indicating from the beginning: first, that the medication is not included and that it amounts to about 500 euros; and second, that the payment for the treatment includes ONE SINGLE OPTION for ovulation induction.

If we had been correctly informed of the prices of the medication and that it only included one attempt, we would not have contracted the treatment.

Furthermore, the doctor assigned to you, in treatments that depend on the evolution of your body, cannot always see you, which leads to contradictions between doctors, as was the case in my case. This affects a lot mentally and emotionally.

I just want to convey that in such expensive treatments, the patient SHOULD be warned or informed of what awaits them and not “hide” such relevant information that would condition the decision-making of whether to undergo the treatment or not.

Thanks to the entire Gimened team, I continue to get my puncture there instead of at home but they always treat me with kindness. The doctor at important times until Saturday and Sunday also comes to work for his patients when necessary.

The experience at the clinic has been positive in terms of medical treatment, especially thanks to the gynecologist Rocío Fuentes, who is incredibly professional, close and empathetic. Their attention makes the entire process much more bearable and conveys great confidence.

However, the clinic is in desperate need of renovation. The facilities are dated and unwelcoming, giving a feeling more typical of a funeral home than a center specialized in fertility. A more modern and warm space would make the experience much more pleasant.

A few months ago my husband and I walked through that door with fear and uncertainty, knowing that we were entering into a hard process, that we were certain of when it would begin but not when it would end…
But what we also didn’t know is that a being of light was waiting for us behind her. It was Doctor José Miguel García Cebrián. From minute one he has made this complicated path easy for us. In addition to being a good professional, he is approachable, attentive as anyone, always with a smile present. It has been energy for us and that is why we could not respond to you in any other way than with a good attitude, desire and, as far as possible, being positive (or realistic better). Thanks to God, to life, to the entire Ginemed team and especially to him, today I am almost 10 weeks pregnant, and even if the result had not been this, our words of gratitude would have been the same.
