Client had a dehumanizing and disappointing IVF experience at the clinic, citing poor communication, lack of empathy from staff, and a cold atmosphere. They spent about 30,000 złoty for the treatment. The client is trying again in the UK due to the unsucc

I chose this clinic for in vitro fertilization treatment at the suggestion of my therapist, due to Dr. Anna Jabłonka-Cieślik's supposedly empathetic and kind approach. Even though each appointment was short, there were times when she was able to talk to me. However, I don't think I saw any deeper psychological preparation. I informed the doctors at the beginning that I had anxiety disorders, ADHD, and depressive thoughts. This wasn't taken into account at all, or perhaps it wasn't communicated to the other doctors at all, or maybe they didn't read the documentation thoroughly at all, I don't know. I have very fond memories of the entire experience. I didn't want to write about it right away to maintain objectivity and distance. I undertook the procedure in June 2025. 1. The receptionists were gloomy and focused on payments, people were coming for transfers, no smiles, no human interaction. 2. The other doctors were walking the halls, no hello, no smiles, nothing. 3. When I went to another doctor for cycle monitoring, I was a complete idiot – yes, so many follicles – so that's your PESEL number. (Dr. Katarzyna Szlendak-Sauer, MD) 4. The egg collection was a disaster. The nurse poked around in my vein, accusing me of not drinking enough. I was supposed to be on an empty stomach and drink very little. She was grumpy, angry, and rude. There were three or four women in the room, and no one had told me about this beforehand. I thought it was private, the treatment room was right next door, the nurses were laughing and chatting, and it was a complete joke that someone was recovering from anesthesia or was nervous beforehand, as if it didn't matter at all. The communist era atmosphere was in full swing. I'm already lying on this chair, spread-eagled, and the embryologist (Mr. Adam Abramik) is leaning out the window into the other room, not saying hello, we'll do that either, just chatting with the nurses, I'm not there. I had one egg, and he called the doctor next to me to ask if I should have a second stimulation immediately. I don't know if people who work in this profession ever realize how stressful it is? Where can I get the money? How can I survive this again? 6. I found out about the failed fertilization via text message. The embryologist didn't call me, just a dry message, no "sorry" or anything. I'm already 42, so there's no point getting my hopes up, that's the approach. 7. After everything, I talked to Dr. Jabłonka and suggested that maybe I should go back on the medication I was taking for insulin resistance. Sure, it's worth it. There's no other option. If it doesn't work the second time, then a donor egg. I'm currently under the care of an immunologist and therapist in Łódź. I've gone back on psychotropic medications. This experience has devastated me. I'm gathering my strength and trying again in the UK, where I live. 8. Parking is another joke and a disaster. There's simply no parking for patients. You call the number of the barrier man outside your building, and if there's a spot, he lets you in. If not, pay for parking before you get in. We spent about 30,000 złoty there. Maybe IVF is just a business these days, and empathy and a friendly approach are now considered optional and luxurious, even though there's so much talk these days about a comprehensive approach, psychological support, etc. The clinic's founder's YouTube videos look great, but this place is simply there to make money, and you can feel it. It's neither a top clinic, as I later learned on forums, nor any other exceptional place. I wouldn't choose this clinic again and I wouldn't recommend it for infertility treatment. You could probably assume that since I wasn't successful, I'm disappointed, but my husband attended the appointments; he studies psychology and is also in therapy. He had a similar opinion. I can't imagine how it's even possible to get pregnant in that atmosphere, with the tension and dehumanization I experienced there. Maybe the doctors are tired, burned out, fed up with the patient's emotions. Maybe it's a cliché and a repetitive script. However, for the patient, it's not like that, and many of the situations I've described shouldn't even occur during the procedure. Perhaps some psychological training for the staff would be a good idea. Marta Malarska-Walczak

Negative experience with cookie-cutter IVF approach. Kind nurses and receptionists. Disappointed with treatment methods.

My impressions of the treatment's effectiveness are also not positive. We met with the two most important doctors at the clinic. There was a lack of individualized attention and insight. A cookie-cutter approach to IVF (the same for everyone). After numerous failures, the doctor should be more interested in finding the cause than in claiming that the causes of infertility are often unknown without exhausting all available diagnostic tests. The greatest loss we experienced was the loss of cells obtained during ovulation punctures, which were not fertilized – the explanation was a poor sperm sample from my partner. Okay, but why weren't the cells frozen? Thoughtlessness and clichéd attitudes were the main flaws. However, I disagree with the previous speaker regarding the work of the nurses, receptionists, and midwives. They are very kind and helpful. We also don't expect a doctor to have high psychological skills, as that's not their role. Unfortunately, I was disappointed with the treatment methods. You still have a lot of room for improvement.
