About Fertility Treatment Center

Fertility Treatment Center is a fertility and reproductive medicine clinic located in Tempe, Arizona, specializing in comprehensive infertility diagnosis and treatment; the practice offers IVF, IUI, ovulation induction, pre‑implantation genetic testing (PGT), frozen‑egg and frozen‑morula programs, ICSI, and personalized low‑tech to high‑tech options tailored to each patient’s needs. Founded in 1990 by Dr. H. Randall Craig, MD, FACOG, the center’s team of board‑certified infertility doctors, clinical, laboratory, and research staff hold advanced sub‑specialty training and provide 24‑hour physician coverage, ensuring continuous support and compassionate care. FTC distinguishes itself with pioneering achievements such as Arizona’s first frozen‑egg IVF pregnancy, the world’s first frozen morula embryo cryopreservation, and the region’s first ICSI and PGD pregnancies, while maintaining one of the highest overall success rates—particularly for patients over age 35—and a low cost‑per‑pregnancy model where 74 % of cycles involve cost‑effective IUI. Financial counseling, transparent pricing packages, low‑interest financing, and contracts with major insurers (Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, Humana, Tricare, UnitedHealthcare) further ease access, and patient‑focused services include video testimonials, dedicated support staff, and a commitment to never refuse care based on age, FSH levels, or follicle count.

Why choose Fertility Treatment Center?

  • check_circle Expert, Personalized Care

Dr. Craig evaluates each case in detail and outlines several evidence‑based treatment pathways, allowing couples to choose the protocol that best fits their situation. He stays current with research and adjusts plans as cycles progress, contributing to high pregnancy and twin success rates.

  • check_circle Compassionate Support Staff

Coordinators such as Amberlee, Daina, and Maggie, along with nurses Angel, Susan, and the front‑desk team, consistently provide friendly, empathetic assistance. Patients describe feeling cared for, with staff remembering names, answering questions promptly, and offering emotional reassurance during ultrasounds and procedures.

  • check_circle Clear Communication & Scheduling

The clinic’s phone lines, email responses, and patient portal deliver rapid replies, often within an hour. Appointment scheduling aligns with patient availability, and reminders are sent automatically, reducing wait times and uncertainty.

  • check_circle Transparent Pricing & Options

Initial consultations include itemized cost estimates, and no hidden fees appear after treatment begins. Patients appreciate knowing exact charges for IVF cycles, medication, and ancillary services before committing.

What to watch out for at Fertility Treatment Center?

  • warning Billing Delays & Refund Issues

Several patients report prolonged disputes over refunds for cancelled cycles, with accounting departments holding funds for months and providing limited explanations. This creates financial stress despite the clinic’s otherwise transparent pricing.

  • warning Inconsistent Bedside Manner

While many staff members are praised for kindness, some ultrasounds and consults are described as rushed, abrupt, or lacking thorough discussion. A few patients felt hurried during appointments, leading to confusion about next steps.

  • warning Administrative & Coordination Gaps

Instances of missed calls, delayed portal updates, and unresponsive coordinators have been noted, especially when primary staff are on vacation. Some patients experienced appointment cancellations without adequate notice.

  • warning Confidentiality Concerns

A supervisor was reported to share patient information with others, raising privacy concerns and prompting caution for future visitors.

I have had no complaints up to actual conception. My partner and I have tried other fertility clinics and this was the first one where we did not feel rushed or forced into a procedure. The staff was friendly and the doctor was attentive. We were told that both my partner and me were healthy and they were not sure why we were not pregnant yet but they were confident that with their treatment we would be successful. It felt supportive and reassuring. A polyp was found in my partner’s ultrasound but we were told not to worry. We have now completed three rounds of treatment (HSH and IUI). It has been almost 8 weeks since our IUI and unfortunately we are not pregnant. We understand that there is a level of unpredictability with fertility; however, we have not even received a follow up call from the office to confirm our status. It comes off as “we show care when we are taking your money for our procedures, but we are unsympathetic otherwise.” We went to another doctor for a second opinion on the polyp and they have urgently issued a battery of tests with the hope that it will support our pregnancy efforts. It seems as though FTC has rushed us to expensive procedures without being comprehensive to increase the success rate of the procedure. And after going 8 weeks without even a follow up call, our concerns with FTC are confirmed.

IVF clinic had friendly staff but poor accounting. Difficulty with refunds after cancelled treatment. Negative experience overall.

I really loved their staff but have been fighting with accounting for almost six months trying to get the thousands they have been holding onto refunded from a cancelled IVF cycle. This was after discovering thousands were unaccounted for. Beware.

Appreciate Dr. Craig and his team so much. They helped us when our previous doctors didn't think we'd have success. I'm so glad we went and got a 2nd opinion.

Recommended Dr. Craig's office for getting pregnant. Had 2 successful pregnancies, 1 singleton and 1 set of twins. Efficient, quick and thorough service.

I would highly recommend Dr. Craig's office to anyone seeking to get pregnant. They are highly efficient, quick, and thorough. They have multiple options, and Dr. Craig takes the care to walk through all of them. While it did take many IUI cycles for me to finally get pregnant, we had 2 pregnancies with Dr. Craig, 1 singleton and 1 set of twins. We couldn't be happier with Dr. Craig allowing us to have a family!
