I can not say enough good things about Fertility Associates! We started our fertility journey not knowing a whole lot, a bit nervous and apprehensive after a negative experience elsewhere. However, from day dot the whole team have been amazing to deal with! Dr Murray instantly set our minds at ease and made us feel empowered about the journey ahead, and the nursing staff have been a constant source of support along the way with the added reassurance of knowing they were always at the end of the phone. Being based in Napier meant long trips to Wellington for short procedures, the team did their best to accommodate our travel for appointments and every time we arrived we were welcomed like old friends. I really can not thank them all enough for how much support and care they have given us during our journey. Best of all we now have a positive result and await the arrival of our new addition in Jan!!

Does Fertility Associates offer egg donation for IVF treatment? expand_more
Yes, Fertility Associates provides a comprehensive egg‑donation programme for IVF cycles. Donor eggs may come from personal donors (family or friends) or from the clinic’s screened donor pool, with a typical waiting period of approximately 3.5 years for donor‑egg cycles. The clinic handles all aspects of donor screening, medical assessment, and legal compliance, ensuring donor health and ethical standards. Recipients benefit from the same high‑quality IVF protocols, including fresh or frozen embryo transfers, and can combine donor‑egg cycles with pre‑implantation genetic testing to maximise pregnancy chances.

What fertility treatments and services does Fertility Associates offer? expand_more
Fertility Associates provides a full spectrum of assisted reproduction options. Core treatments include in‑vitro fertilisation (IVF) with ICSI, intra‑uterine insemination (IUI), and ovulation induction (OI) using clomiphene or letrozole. The clinic also offers egg, embryo and sperm freezing, donor‑egg and donor‑sperm programmes, and gestational surrogacy for couples unable to carry a pregnancy. Advanced services feature pre‑implantation genetic testing (PGT‑A), time‑lapse embryo monitoring (TiMI), and the optional EmbryoGlue culture medium to boost implantation. Additional support includes fertility counselling, nutritional advice, and the Fertility Cover® package, which provides up to three IVF cycles with a refund guarantee. Publicly funded pathways are also available for eligible patients.
What are the IVF success rates at Fertility Associates? expand_more
Fertility Associates reports live‑birth rates per embryo transfer based on 2023 ANZARD data. For women using their own eggs, the fresh‑transfer success rate is 41% for those under 35, 36% for ages 35‑38, 26% for ages 39‑42, and 21% for women over 42. Frozen‑thaw transfers show similar outcomes, with rates of 40% (under 35), 34% (35‑38), 25% (39‑42) and 26% (over 42). These figures reflect the clinic’s focus on single‑embryo transfers to maximise safety while maintaining high pregnancy rates. Results exclude cycles involving donor eggs or pre‑implantation genetic testing, which typically achieve even higher success. The data are audited annually and published as part of the clinic’s commitment to transparent, evidence‑based assisted reproduction.
What IVF laboratory technology does Fertility Associates use? expand_more
The IVF laboratory at Fertility Associates employs several cutting‑edge technologies to optimise embryo development and selection. Embryos are cultured in EmbryoGlue, a specialised medium shown to improve implantation rates. The clinic utilizes Time‑Lapse Morphometry Imaging (TiMI) for continuous monitoring of embryo growth, allowing precise timing of blastocyst transfer. Pre‑implantation genetic screening (PGS) is performed using Invitae genetic panels to identify euploid embryos. Cryopreservation follows vitrification protocols with over 90% post‑thaw survival, ensuring high‑quality frozen‑thaw cycles. All laboratory processes adhere to CREI accreditation standards, guaranteeing consistent quality and safety in assisted reproduction.

The clinic offers tailored options such as egg freezing to preserve fertility, donor‑egg IVF, and intra‑uterine insemination with donor sperm.
