Website says 7:30, office door says 7:30 but if you call any of the locations at 7:30 their phones don’t work until 8:30 even though they set up appointments before that. They don’t send courtesy text or emails if you’re a Referral which is ridiculous so you can’t even call to confirm things in the morning if you need to. People coming here are going through enough to not even be worth a courtesy, Email, or text with your appointment information.

I spent a lot of time and money on getting services started here to be ignored by scheduling staff. Weird people. I’m officially afraid of fertility clinics, seems more like just a siphon.

This place operates like a factory and funnels people through their IVF cycles with a complete lack of personalized care. I did one cycle of egg freezing here which was cancelled after 8 days. The cycle should have been canceled considerably earlier, but I wasn’t permitted to speak to my doctor during the cycle, and whichever nurse called each day would repeat the same stock information that it’s “up to the patient” whether to cancel and that some choose to do a retrieval with only 1-2 follicles. I was not in a situation where I would have chosen to do a retrieval with 1-2 follicles, and I’m pretty sure they are trying to avoid cancellations so it helps their stats. I was never given useful information from anyone about how/why my results day by day were so far below expectations, which would have given me the information I needed to advocate for myself and cancel the cycle. At my consultation I was told what would be a reasonable goal for my retrieval given my medical history and lab results. There was no discussion of the likelihood of a poor result, or the possibility that someone’s first cycle could be so drastically below expectations. At my first ultrasound, it was clear something was wrong because I had so few follicles. Each subsequent ultrasound showed extremely slow growth to the point where on day 8 of medication, I had one follicle that was the appropriate size. When I regrouped with the doctor afterwards, she said this was not expected given my initial labs, and that I would probably do better a second time. When I asked how common my outcome was (really underperforming on their first round of IVF) for someone my age, she said it happens “about 50% of the time.” I was shocked that if this was so common, she never mentioned it in my initial appointment. This would have better prepared me for my poor results during the cycle, or honestly changed my calculus of whether to do IVF at all. The doctor also mentioned that part of the reason she chose to continue my cycle (which obviously wasn’t going to lead to success) was that she could gather data for subsequent rounds of IVF. I was never told this was one of the objectives, and had I known, I would have cancelled my cycle earlier. Everyone has different reasons for pursuing IVF, and different financial considerations, which will affect their choice of whether to cancel their cycle or not. But providing no information to patients about these tradeoffs, and honest assessments of their progress, is horrible medical care. You only get to communicate with nurses during your cycle – one is assigned to you during IVF, and each day a different one will call with your medication instructions. None of them are familiar with your situation at all, and at one point my assigned IVF nurse messaged saying that timed intercourse or IUI could be an option if the cycle didn’t improve (I was trying to freeze eggs, not get pregnant). This practice took what was a normally frustrating experience of having to cancel an IVF cycle and made it multiple times more stressful and upsetting than it should have been with their horrible communication and the fact that I was repeatedly lied to by staff saying we should just wait until the next ultrasound to see if more follicles pop up. It was clear afterwards that for several days my doctor knew that wasn’t realistic and was just using this cycle to collect data to prepare me for a second cycle (which I will of course not be doing here). After this canceled cycle, I did 2 cycles at another clinic where I actually received personalized care, and saw a doctor at each appointment. The overall experience and results were so much better at this other clinic, and I really regret having gone to Conceptions. I retrieved 4x the number of follicles I was expected to get if I had gone through my retrieval at this clinic. I think that data speaks for itself.

We've conceived two miracles here with Dr. Greene and his PA Amanda. Even though I know they are super busy, we always felt like we were the only people on their minds at the moment they treated us. The second baby took longer than we'd hoped with a few bumps along the way. Dr. Greene took our critiques with stride and continued to help us on our journey to parenthood. We have recommended this facility to all of our friends and family looking for reproductive services.
