  • warning Inconsistent Post‑Treatment Follow‑Up

After failed IVF cycles, some patients experienced no outreach from the clinic to discuss next steps or the disposition of frozen embryos, leading to feelings of neglect and a perception that financial considerations outweigh patient care.

A patient experienced multiple cancelled appointments, with the clinic offering unconvincing reasons each time. Patient feels frustrated and wasted time. Doctor's behavior raises concerns about reliability and patient communication.

I'm extremely disappointed with this clinic. Several months ago, even a year ago, I requested an appointment. They called me a couple of days before to reschedule it due to "family issues the doctor was having." I agreed, and we found another time slot. As the date for the second appointment approached, the same thing happened again. They called to say that the doctor had to cancel due to family problems. I told them it was the second time this had happened, and they explained the doctor's family member's illness (which I didn't think was necessary). This second time, I told them not to reschedule because I didn't want to go through the same thing a third time. The other day, on the recommendation of a friend who was very happy with the clinic when she went there, I tried my luck again and requested another appointment, which was for next Tuesday. They called me today, Friday, with the same excuse (explaining this person's illness and even saying they were in the final stages), which was completely inappropriate on their part and nothing I should have known. I told them not to schedule any more appointments for me, as this seemed like a joke. I mentioned that this is the third time this has happened, and all they did was apologize and say they hoped I'd have better luck at another clinic. This doesn't seem like a normal response to me, especially since I told them it wasn't the first time this had happened. It also doesn't seem normal that they've canceled three appointments of mine at such a distance. Either it's a huge coincidence, or they're canceling practically all of them. As a recommendation, they shouldn't schedule appointments at all, so as not to waste the time of other patients.

The IVF clinic had a long wait, over 1.5 hours, which was inconvenient for a freelancer, and communication was poor, informing patients about delays would be helpful.

On November 21, 2025, my wife had an appointment at 10:30, but she didn't get in until 12:15. More than an hour and a half late is far too long for someone who works as a freelancer. She had to cancel her entire morning schedule and part of her afternoon appointments, resulting in a significant loss of time and money. I understand that delays or complications can occur during the morning, but informing clients so they can decide whether or not it's worth waiting would be very helpful.

We had a very positive experience with Clinica Fertia in Spain. The staff were 10/10 and the clinic was state of the art. We had successful IVF treatment and are now pregnant with our first child.

Thank you so much to all the team at clinica fertia 😘. We are from the UK and initially started our fertility journey in Bristol but found the prices extortionate with lots of hidden fees. We decided to pursue treatment in Spain. From the initial enquiry, clinica fertia were so informative (thank you Candela) and answered any questions we had. We knew this was the clinic for us. We initially wanted to try IUI with donor sperm as we didn’t really want to go down the IVF route if we could help it. We did this with Dr Puente. She was so lovely, very smart and knew exactly what she was doing. All the nurses and staff at the clinic made us feel so welcome and spoke such good English (thank you to Loli & Jasmin, Sofia). Unfortunately IUI didn’t work for us but we knew the chances were relatively low. Dr Puente explained we could carry on but recommend IVF. So that’s what we did, and we are so glad we did. Dr Vega was with through us every step of our ivf journey. She was so kind, caring and compassionate- thank you from the bottom of our hearts. We had a successful egg retrieval and 8 embryos were frozen, we were so pleased. We came back to Spain to have the embryo transfer done and now my wife is pregnant with our first child. We couldn’t recommend this clinic more. Not only are the prices the rate given and advertised, the staff are 10/10 and the clinic is state of the art, so modern, clean and welcoming. Thank you to everyone at clinica fertia 🩷

The clinic prioritizes profit over patient care, leading to a lack of empathy and poor communication. Two IVFs failed, and no follow-up was conducted. The patient does not recommend this clinic.

I chose this clinic because they seemed very professional, and they certainly are, technologically. However, despite my experience, they didn't take any "extra" measures to rule out or reduce risks. But the worst part is that they haven't even deigned to call me even once after two failed IVFs, the last one with egg and sperm from young donors. No one has bothered to ask how I am, what I wanted to do with the frozen embryo... Nothing. A huge lack of empathy and tact. I don't recommend this clinic, because they only care about money. I'm going to try to take the remaining embryo to another hospital, even if it's just out of conscience, because I don't even believe they won't sell it if I donate it, since when I suggested using a donated embryo, they didn't tell me it would be free; on the contrary, they said it would be more affordable for me to do a joint IVF. I'll leave it at that. Good luck to those of you who keep trying.

IVF with Dr. Elena Puentes resulted in successful pregnancy. She provided professional guidance and personalized care. Patient is now 5 months pregnant and feeling happy.

Dr. Elena Puentes is a tremendous professional. We went through the in vitro process with her, and I was successful right away. And it wasn't luck; it was a process of treatments, supplements, even a uterine procedure to ensure everything was perfect for the transfer. Although there were moments of despair and wanting to do it NOW, the doctor's professionalism meant I didn't rush into any decisions. And now I'm so happy I did everything exactly as she recommended. I'm 35 and have many friends going through the same process, and when they tell me and I compare... oh my goodness, what a difference in personalization! So I recommend her 100%. I'm almost 5 months pregnant now, and everything is perfect :)
