The reviewer had a negative experience at the IVF Clinic with Dr Smith, citing poor doctor's bedside manner, long waiting times, and insufficient information about the treatment process.

Our experience with Care in Woking has been deeply disappointing, especially considering the significant costs involved. We began the process in April but didn’t start our first treatment until November due to ongoing delays and poor communication. The lack of professionalism was astonishing—during a critical review, the consultant conducted the session from his car in the middle of the road. For a clinic charging such high fees, this is completely unacceptable. To make matters worse, on the day we were meant to start treatment, we were informed that we had been allocated too much of one drug and not prescribed another. This left us scrambling to decide whether to proceed or not and forced us to spend an additional £1,700. Despite the many issues we had faced up to that point, we reluctantly decided to move forward. When we went for our first check-up, the nurse told us we weren’t where we needed to be, offering no explanation or guidance. This left us anxious and confused throughout the weekend, with no clarity on what was happening. Reaching out to the clinic is another source of frustration—you’re left on hold for ages and then told to use their app, which is ineffective and unreliable. Even the staff acknowledge its flaws, yet nothing is done to resolve issues or improve patient support. Adding to our frustration, we are still waiting on a refund from the clinic. We’ve had to go back and forth with them multiple times, and despite being told a statement of account was sent, I didn’t receive it until nearly two weeks after my initial request. The lack of efficiency and accountability is shocking for a clinic of this caliber. At every stage, we felt let down and undervalued. For a clinic that markets itself as providing “Care,” this experience was anything but. If you want a clinic that truly cares, I would strongly advise looking elsewhere to avoid wasting your money.

Satisfied with IVF treatment at this clinic, due to experienced staff, good quality of care, and successful treatment outcome. The prices were reasonable. Communication with staff was excellent.

We unfortunately had a terrible experience with care fertility in Woking…. My husband and I didn’t qualify for NHS IVF treatment due to the fact I was 39 at the time. That we understood so decided to go to care Woking for our IVF treatments. Firstly our doctor had a terrible manner and kept telling us our best chance was with a donor egg due to my age despite us making good quality embryos. We had two transfers. One of which a doctor came in holding a greggs coffee cup not dressed in any medical attire. She struggled to get the embryo in and it was an awful traumatic experience for me. After both rounds failed (and thousands of pounds later on) we decided despite what we were being told that we needed more investigations. Turns out I had adhesions covering half of my uterus. Our doctor at care dismissed any need for further checks (on me or our embryos) so we went to an incredible clinic in Greece. They treated my uterus, then tested our embryo to check it was normal and we are currently sat with our baby boy! Using My egg!!! The only thing we felt care actually cared about was getting our invoices settled. There was no care for us at all here and I would advise couples (especially if a bit older) look elsewhere to achieve their precious dream of family.

Care Woking have been incredible to us and after coming away from a private facility and moving to Care via the NHS, they treated us so kindly and personally and as a result, we now have our amazing son. We could not be more thankful to them for giving us the most special gift. Thank you.
