The embryologist team is friendly, explained clearly on the day of my embryo transfer in December 2021. The doctor used the smallest speculum to make me less pain and also allowed me to take pictures on the day of my embryo transfer. Unfortunately, the nurses there are lacking knowledge in my every blood draw. I got a small vein, It's a bit difficult to take my blood out from my arm if the nurse is less experienced, but almost all nurses in my local hospital or surgery are well trained, they can do my blood test on hand easily without any pain. Since then, I have done 4 natural cycles, unfortunately 2 cycles are cancelled - 11-12 visits, painful every blood draw, ultrasound scans and 5000iu injections for each cycle before the embryo transfer if my ovulation is not released at time. The nurse called Maris's collected my blood from an artery. It hurts badly, It was my first time a nurse took my blood out from that. I immediately cried and my nerve was injured, it took about 2 weeks to recover. my hand feels like an electric shock. I can't cook or do any small homework like my everyday routine, it is increasing my anxiety and depression. After that, the nurse manager performed a blood test on my hand, it's a bit painful but fine, she did it gently and asked if I was okay. Recently my current fertility doctor advised that it takes an average 3-5 days for sperm collection and the procedure can create an embryo (fertilized egg). Since last minute calls from the nurse, that time my husband was 4 days before the last ejaculatory, but she suggested the fresher the better, so the sperm collection is less than 24 hours. I'm not sure if this is poorly made and it has affected the embryo's quality. 9 frozen eggs ended up with only 1 good quality cleavage stage. Unfortunately, after a 2 weeks wait, implantation failed. After my final decision in June of 2022 I am not brave enough to give it a go again. It looks like you've worked so hard, given too much time in pain, been very emotional and paid so much, but getting nothing in return.

Mixed experience with good communication and professionals, but very expensive and disorganized. The clinic is clean and calm. Treatment outcome is currently hopeful.

Underneath this review the clinic comments. Their clinic director tried to have me drop my complaint and the clinic has threatened to take this review down. The nurse who took my blood was lovely but… Male doctor was all but gossiping about geriatric pregnancies (35+) during my consultation and the manager of the Sheffield clinic acted like I was an idiot for saying something, then told me that she didn’t think they would, ‘meet [my] expectations’. She also wanted me to justify not wanting a male doctor doing physical procedures. The staff who manage the salve app are constantly giving different messages to what I was given in clinic and what they each say on the phone. The Care sperm bank was difficult to be ‘allowed into’, despite Dr. Lowe urging me to register with them as soon as possible. I’ve decided that I will not be rolling the dice with these people.
