What to watch out for at CARE Fertility Manchester?

  • warning Appointment Scheduling Problems

Patients experience frequent delays, missed video appointments and long waiting periods, sometimes exceeding an hour. Scheduling errors have led to rescheduled visits without proper notification, causing stress and inconvenience. These issues are reported across several independent accounts.

  • warning Administrative & Financial Issues

The finance department is cited for billing errors, excessive charges for routine prescriptions and missing sperm samples. Cost estimates often differ from final invoices, with some patients receiving unexpected fees up to £8,000. These financial ambiguities diminish overall satisfaction.

  • warning Inconsistent Clinical Practices

Several patients note inadequate consultations, such as omitted discussion of ICSI options and repeated treatment protocols despite repeated failures. Equipment mishaps, including a broken camera during embryo transfer, have been reported. These inconsistencies raise concerns about protocol flexibility.

  • warning Confidentiality & Privacy Lapses

Instances of clinical screens left unlocked in patient areas have been documented, exposing personal information to other patients. Such breaches of confidentiality are considered serious violations of privacy standards. The clinic has been urged to improve basic data protection measures.

Despite our journey coming to a difficult end, we can’t fault Care fertility Manchester. The clinic itself is immaculate with comfortable seating and a range of hot drinks available. The staff are always friendly, from the reception team to the salve app, I can’t remember everyone’s names but Robert helped us a few times over the phone and he was lovely! The whole process for us was smooth, we had our initial tests followed by a consultation with Nikoletta, she tailored a plan suitable for our circumstances which the clinic we used whilst through the NHS failed to do. They were on time at every appointment, everything was explained to us thoroughly, the med delivery was efficient and we just felt relaxed throughout. We have to give Bev and Debbie a mention, both lovely ladies made for the job. Elsewhere we’ve come across staff without any compassion or empathy and you need it in these roles. We are grateful for people like Bev and Debbie, this process is difficult as it is. Although we paid private we feel it’s important to note, you get the same service through the NHS. We have three sets of friends who have used Care Manchester and they were all happy with the service and we are pleased to say two of them have had success. Sadly we are closing this chapter after three attempts at this and no success, no fault of the clinics as my body just won’t let me do what it needs. Thank you to all of you for trying! 🫶🏼
