After three years as a patient and four failed IVF cycles, I feel compelled to speak up about serious issues with this fertility clinic that leadership needs to address. Despite repeated failed cycles, my provider did not proactively recommend additional testing or meaningful changes to my treatment plan. Instead, the same protocols were repeated with no explanation. There was no automatic follow-up call after failures to discuss options, reassess strategy, or even have an honest conversation about whether continuing made sense. The default response felt like: proceed to the next cycle and keep paying. If you want answers about why a cycle failed or what else could be done, you are required to pay a $175 re-consultation fee — and even then, the appointment feels rushed and largely driven by the patient asking the right questions. Only after multiple failed cycles and persistent begging to “dig deeper” did my doctor finally recommend further testing, which led to an endometrial biopsy and eventual polyp surgery. This raises a deeply concerning question: why wasn’t this explored sooner? Throughout my care, I was repeatedly told my labs and ultrasounds were “great” and that I had “beautiful anatomy.” Yet when deeper investigation was finally done, problems were found. Being reassured everything looks perfect while remaining stuck in failure after failure is not reassuring — it is misleading. The lack of empathy, rushed visits, and transactional tone are impossible to ignore. Patients are treated like numbers and dollar signs rather than people navigating infertility, grief, and hope. After years of trust, time, emotional energy, and tens of thousands of dollars, I am left broken, still without answers, and financially drained. I cannot thank Bryttani V. in. finance for all of her ongoing support and communication throughout this process. She is well informed and knowledgeable about the process and patient requirements. When other departments provided conflicting information, Bryttani ensured accurate details were provided. She is a strong asset to the Brown Fertility team. Many other departments did NOT meet my expectations, but Bryttani was attentive and handled herself with the utmost professionalism. Other departments should be as respectful, compassionate, and understand the process as well as her.

If you do not want to go through the anxiety and stress of frequent paperwork mistakes by Brown staff, non stop bills in amounts all higher than quoted, an aggressive billing department that will not let you schedule your next appointment or get more medicine until all bills are fully paid, what appears to be unsanitary practices, and a doctor who will not only not remember you each time you visit, but rush you through everything as quick as possible in a very rude manner…then AVOID Brown Fertility. The only good that came via this place that I’m sure I could’ve had elsewhere without all the negative, is being pregnant with one of the two embryos they put in. *BUT I already had embryos from elsewhere and they just agreed to do a FET. And it took almost a year of waiting with so many issues. The billing department charged us double their original quote for a surgery they thought I needed and then wouldn’t let me continue treatment or schedule another appointment until till it was fully paid upfront- don’t count on payment plans here. Then for the first time while I was planning payment for that bill, I was told about the cycle fee which also had to be paid fully before another appointment or starting medication! This was also after paying the anesthesiologist their fee that insurance didn’t cover or reimburse. After said surgery at follow up appointment the same dr says “did I do your surgery?” And began asking me questions about stuff that all should’ve been in my chart already. Then I was contacted from ReproTech’s storage about a paperwork mistake at Brown for embryo shipment. The day of transfer the doctor was visibly in a bad mood and not creating the staff nice. The embryologist named off the wrong embryos and had to go back and check to see if they had the correct ones for me while the doctor was annoyed with delays. After the transfer they mailed me a paper about which they transferred and their grades, and it was wrong too! Then we got a letter from our insurance stating Brown over charged what was in their contracted agreed amount. Then we found out they were sending us bills often before insurance even processed them! The back and forth between staff, billing, insurance, and storage I had to do was crazy. All the while I had a doctor who never seemed to remember who I was what we were doing and was in and out as fast as possible. All this when you’re already dealing with the stress of infertility and your biological clock ticking when you want kids. Additionally, I do not trust how clean this place is. When you walk into your dingy exam room, note there’s always a condom, literally, on the transv ultrasound. It just sits there and pre placed out in the air being exposed to whatever floats around . As you get moved to another room you’ll see it’s the same. I even watched a tech after using wand on me, rip one off, wipe the wand quickly and then put a new one on for whoever’s next. Meanwhile every other place I’ve been to has a sanitation machine for those wands in the room. And I do not trust a quick wipe down, nor is it okay for air to be drying out the condom or for people to be breathing coughing talking over it etc. Plus seeing that instead of the medical plastic covers is triggering for some people. Overall, I am happy I am finally pregnant, but I wish I went a different route, and have already chosen another clinic for the next time I do an FET.

This is a terrible organization. You authorize them to fill out your appointment details and forms, but they end up filling them out incorrectly. When they send you the online form you need to fill out before your appointment, you simply can't log in because your name is entered incorrectly. You can't even check your contract. You email them and call them, and after the 10th try, they finally change the details. But you don't agree to the contract and don't want to use their services. Instead, they send you a letter saying you have to pay for the visit due to a late cancellation. Maybe you could train your staff to respectfully and correctly fill out customer information so they can review the details, contract, terms, etc. in a timely manner before deciding whether to use your services. I wouldn't recommend this disgusting organization to anyone.
