Difficult to work with, they cancelled my first appointment for not having paperwork completed 7 days in advance, refused to allow me to fill it out after cancelling it and made me reschedule it. The second appointment I made I had all paperwork completed which included me calling my primary care doctor to send a referral. I called them to tell the I had completed everything and had the referral sent which my primary care doctor confirmed they had sent. I was looking for confirmation that everything was all set. When I asked if I was all set including receiving the referral for the appointment they said they have no way of seeing if they received it unless, I the patient, tell them the date and exact time the referal was sent by my doctors office and threatened to cancel my appointment again if I didn’t find out this information. In the end my primary care had already sent it and was able to confirm with them the date and time that it had been sent in order for me to keep my appointment. The doctor I saw was late which obviously happens but his demeanor and manner was dismissive. I told him about my experience with my previous doctor out of state who was a renowned IVF specialist (who is now to far to see) and he basically described him as a dinosaur and out of date… would not recommend this place.

Great for your 1st round- then you’ll be scheduled incorrectly leading to delays in diagnosis, not be able to get ahold of scheduling/financial/your doctor/ nurses.

They don’t explain your cycle ahead of time, which varies every round, so you may have a prep month or you might go straight into injections. You don’t know until the day you’re starting- so everything is a surprise.

They take on too many patients to give good care to any of them.

You’re just a number and the more rounds you do, the more $ they get from you. They aren’t trying to get you pregnant, they’re trying to suck you dry. Go to Brigham Women’s. Their results are better and the entire team is more attentive.

I cannot recommend Boston IVF enough. The doctors, nurses, technicians, surgeons, front desk, financial team, wellness team, etc. Literally everyone has been so supportive, knowledgable, and efficient. They are an amazingly well-oiled machine, and I'm grateful for being able to work with such a compassionate and professional organization.
Update: we welcomed our son in December! This could not have been possible without the teamwork of our doctor, Dr. Resetkova, the nurses and other amazing staff. We are incredibly grateful!

I regret getting services provided through Boston IVF. I was there to support my partner through procedures to potentially preserve fertility before she goes into chemo, and to get a sperm analysis to see about my role in the process (in case we wanted to try for freezing embryos).

My partner was given prior notice of costs for her treatments which would be uncovered, and specifically consented to and paid for them beforehand. I was re-assured several times, after my insurance had been provided and presumably reviewed multiple times, that my services would be covered by my insurance.

Then the bills came, surprise! Lesson learned, don't trust Boston IVF's word, you always have to check with your insurance. Boston IVF staff as a whole seem mostly concerned with saying whatever makes you feel comfortable moving forward so they can crank through as many patients as possible for maximum revenue. And there is not consistency between patients on information regarding upcoming costs.

That being said, there were a few individual staff in there who were kind, informative, and helped to try and support some of us through the oncofertility program. One staff member, Heidi, did what she could to help us keep medicine costs down and she is an angel. Really went above and beyond. Two stars instead of one simply because that woman is doing great work.
