Ava Clinic Lisbon – Reviews and Prices

Highly recommend Ava Clinic for egg freezing! My experience in January was excellent, thanks to Dr. Cunha’s incredible care and detailed explanations. The nurses, especially Vanda, were exceptionally kind and supportive, making me feel comfortable and cared for every step of the way. It was like being among friends. I’m so happy with my experience that I’ve already recommended the clinic to friends. Absolutely trustworthy and professional!

Waste of time!!! I searched a clinic to insert an IUD, so I called AVA Clinic to find out whether or not they provide this service, as they are a fertility clinic. They approved they do. When I came to my appointment Dr. Cunha was shocked that I wanted an IUD and refused to do it, as it does not align with his personal beliefs because the IUD might cause infertility and with 22 years he thinks I’m too young. When I said I know the possible consequences and that me and my partner don’t want children, he laughed and said that this is what everyone says. Then I went to another clinic, they prescribed me to do an ultrasound, but as the other clinic had no appointments for this year I decided to do at least the ultrasound with AVA clinic. I asked whether or not it’s possible, they approved. Then I send an email saying that I normally just need the ultrasound, but I decided to do the hormonal IUD, which does not have the risk of infertility and if Dr. Cunha is willing to do it, I would be happy. But if not I’m satisfied with just the ultrasound. 2 hours before my appointment I receive an email that they cancel my ultrasound with a list of other clinics that I should visit. No explanation, nothing and no answer to my email. I waited 2 weeks for the ultrasound appointment… Thanks AVA Clinic for wasting my time. Why not just say in the beginning on the phone “No, we don’t do the IUD” and thats it? I don’t understand

Our first visit to AVA Clinic exceeded all expectations, thanks to the exceptional Dr. Jose Cunha. His professionalism and caring attitude immediately put us at ease. Dr. Cunha’s patience, sense of humor, and genuine attentiveness made our experience truly remarkable. He answered all our questions thoroughly, without any pressure or attempts to upsell unnecessary treatments. His straightforward, supportive approach was incredibly reassuring. We left feeling both encouraged and grateful, wishing we had found him sooner. Our visit was genuinely emotional because of the outstanding care we received. Highly recommended!

Terrible clinic, solely out to make money. Do not care about their patients at all. Initial appointment was only 15-20 minutes and refused to provide actual statistics from the clinic, when across the board, all clinics around the world take at least one hour to do the initial consult and provide actual stats from the clinic itself. physician cared more about their vacation than actually doing an initial consult, failed to capture key information about my personal health. Nurse on site were not skillful enough to be able to do simple blood work without bruising and hurting me for 10 minutes until I literally had to stop them. Also made me wait for about an hour to do bloodwork while the same two nurses for blood work and the receptionist just chatted and were not busy. Clinic then tried to get me to pay half of the egg freezing fee prior to second consult and failed to be able to produce blood work result for three weeks which meant second consult would have been useless because there was no blood work results to discuss. When I actually complained and only when I threatened to get a refund for bloodwork did they eventually apologize for the delay, suddenly able go immediately produce bloodwork result but tried to get me to sign some contract so that they can avoid any responsibility to continue. I of course moved to another clinic instead. Patients please be aware of this clinics practices. Clinic does not have PRP which is now common practice, this should show you how outdated their technology/capabilities are.

I would like to say a big thank you to Ava clinic team. Without them we would not have our wonderful daughter that is almost 3 months now. Doctor Cunha was so professional and gave us the best advice. Nurse Venda and Ricardo were amazing too. Ava clinic was a real change into our life that the reason why we named our daughter Ava as a tribute to all the process. Once again thank you team
