What to watch out for at Arizona Center for Fertility Studies?

  • warning Poor communication from administrative staff

A recurring theme in negative reviews points to inadequate communication from the front desk and billing personnel. Patients reported difficulty reaching staff for follow-up questions, leading to unnecessary stress and confusion regarding their treatment plans and billing statements.

  • warning Billing and insurance misunderstandings

Many patients voiced frustration regarding unexpected charges and billing inconsistencies. The lack of transparency about costs and firm follow-up on fees engendered distrust and added financial anxiety to patients already navigating a delicate situation.

  • warning Inconsistent treatment experiences

Several patients reported inconsistency in the standard of care provided, as not every patient interacted with the same level of personalized attention. Such disparities in physician communication often left patients feeling unsettled about their treatment plans.

  • warning Repeatedly having to undergo tests

Certain patients resented the necessity to retest previously completed assessments, which led to additional out-of-pocket expenses and a feeling of distrust towards the clinic’s practices. This redundancy could weigh heavily on individuals already under stress.

  • warning Lengthy response times and unprofessional handling

Reviewers frequently mentioned long delays in receiving responses to inquiries. The lack of timely follow-ups from the clinic fueled dissatisfaction, with many feeling their concerns about treatment and billing were not prioritized adequately.

The reviewer had a negative experience with the financial services and billing at the IVF clinic, refusing to provide a written cost estimate. The staff's communication was poor, and the reviewer felt that the clinic was intentionally vague about pricing.

Someone posted a week ago about their negative experience with financial services-the same thing happened to me. I have left probably five voicemails over a week they refuse to return, or if they do return it, they skirt the subject, can’t answer questions, and are just purposely obtuse. I need a procedure done that my regular OB doesn’t do, so I was referred here. Insurance doesn’t cover it. I have told them this four times now. But it doesn’t matter-all I wanted was a SHEET with a written cost estimate. The front office refused to provide it. Financial services has been promising to have a financial counselor call me for days. I finally said I don’t want that-I just want a written estimate. They will not provide it. No calls back from the financial counselor, either. I told the same person like ten times I wasn’t looking for an itemized bill-I wanted a written estimate for the procedure. It’s like they were intentionally avoiding the matter. When doctors do this, it’s because they’re being intentionally vague about pricing to run up a bill. This is a business first and foremost, not a doctor’s office. I would advise going elsewhere-it looks like many of us have had the same experience.

Dr. Patel and his team provided expert support for IVF journey. They were responsive, patient, and kind throughout the process. The outcome was successful, bringing a beautiful son into the world.

We are beyond grateful to Dr. Patel and his team for helping us bring our beautiful son into the world through IVF. From the moment we started our journey, we felt supported and cared for. Dr. Patel is a true expert in his field, and his knowledge, skill, and attention to detail were evident at every step. He took the time to explain every process, answer our questions, and made us feel confident in the path we were taking, while also keeping us entertained and laughing along the way. The entire team was incredible, always responsive, patient, and genuinely kind. For our first embryo transfer, we worked closely with Chelsea and Doreen, who were both a joy to work with. The process was long and challenging at times, but with the support of Dr. Patel and his team, we felt confident in the process. We are thrilled to be starting the next chapter of our family journey, and we couldn’t be more excited to welcome our next little one into the world, thanks to Dr. Patel and his team. We will forever be grateful for everything they did to help us bring our son into the world! 💙

The reviewer experienced three IVF cycles and one FET, all with positive outcomes, at this clinic with Dr. Reshef.

I had a wonderful experience during three IVF cycles and one successful FET at this clinic with Dr. Reshef and his team. A wonderful physician who is trustworthy, collaborative, kind, genuine, and informed. I really have no complaints. I am very grateful I transferred to this clinic after not so good experiences at two Tucson clinics. It was worth the long commute to Scottsdale.
