What to watch out for at TFP GCRM Glasgow Fertility Clinic?
- Communication issues and slow responses
Several reviews criticize the clinic's communication, highlighting slow response times and inadequate follow-up after appointments. Patients often felt left in the dark after inquiries or treatment discussions, leading to increased stress. - Concerns over profit-driven practices
With the clinic's recent transition to The Fertility Partnership, many patients feel that the focus has shifted away from patient care towards profit generation, with complaints about reduced attention to patient needs and experiences. - Inconsistent information from staff
Reviewers have pointed out instances of conflicting information regarding treatment protocols and procedures, which led to confusion and mistrust in the clinic's guidance and the efficacy of their treatment plans. - Hidden fees and unclear pricing
Patients have reported encountering unexpected costs and a lack of transparency regarding pricing. This has added financial stress to an already challenging situation, with some claiming they were not adequately informed of fees. - Feeling undervalued and treated as a number
Criticism has been directed at the clinic for treating patients as mere numbers rather than individuals in need of support. Some clients mentioned experiencing a lack of personalized care, which is essential during the emotionally charged process of fertility treatment.
10 latest reviews of TFP GCRM Glasgow Fertility Clinic
They are apathetic and profit-driven. As a health care professional myself, I believe the care for the patient should be above a bit of extra gain. A mentality that they lack.
We had an incredible experience with GCRM, Glasgow. We had a failed round of iui and the care and compassion that was shown did not go unnoticed. We were very anxious about starting IVF and the nurses were very understanding, giving us time to speak through our anxieties and holding our hands if we were emotional.
We were spoke through the full process in detail and it was never any hassle to answer any questions we had. We were never in the dark about next steps or current position in terms of scans etc.
We have been blessed with our beautiful daughter 5 weeks ago all thanks to GCRM. We will definitely be returning when it comes time to try for another 💕
Couldn’t recommend GCRM more. Can’t believe we only have one private clinic in Scotland! (Look into Access Fertility for funding options!) The process was always super clear and you always get an answer on the phone, or a response to portal messages for any query, no matter how small. Staff at clinic are always warm, friendly and interested. We were considering going to Brňo but the price was competitive enough to thankfully enable us to use GCRM, much closer to home.
“After a Nightmare Experience at GCRM, I Urge You to Avoid Them!”
I’ve had the most stressful experience with GCRM.
AVOID AT ALL COSTS IF YOU CAN. Please, take my advice, don’t do what I did, and read through all the one-star reviews on here. They’re basically all saying the same thing.
I’m desperately looking for other clinics now. Their communication is terrible, I needed to be chasing them up every single day, and still they’re incredibly passive. They always give you another little surprise step you need to make, and they take ages to send you what you need to sign.
Basically, no matter how hard you try to move swiftly through this process, they make it longer and more arduous.
Dealing with this is already emotionally and economically taxing, and their lack of cooperation and complete disregard for your experience as a patient makes it 1000 times more so.
I’VE LOST SO MUCH TIME, UNNECESSARILY. As if we hadn’t been waiting and waiting and waiting and saving up already to be here. Total lack of empathy from their part.
I live in Edinburgh so unfortunately we don’t have another private clinic nearby, they were our nearest option. But now we’re even considering traveling somewhere else to go to another clinic, anything but them.
If you can consider ANY other option, I’d really recommend you have GCRM as your last resource.
They’re completely unempathetic, very willing to take your money, knowing you’re vulnerable and stressed, but not willing at all to cooperate or help you in any way that isn’t the most basic.
It feels like a super low cost clinic, but it isn’t.
p.d. Their answer is a classic GCRM answer. Sounds like a script, never putting your needs first. Like this reply. That’s their suggestion? Really? I live in Edinburgh as I stated in my OP. So they want me to go all the way to the clinic in Glasgow just to talk to them? We’re still in touch over the phone and every interaction is the same tone, same script replies, same lack of cooperation. We requested my patient records today, MY OWN INFORMATION (which isn’t really much tbh, its a couple of papers), and they said that takes 10 business days for them to be able to send me that. So even just to send me my own information, takes them 2 weeks. So no thanks, I won’t be going all the way to the clinic to talk to them. Not losing any more time and money in more interactions from scripted staff with their processes and procedures that never take the patient’s needs into account at all.
The lady that scanned me was amazing made me laugh and provided comfort for me
“Great Support and Quick Responses from GCRM Team!”
The team at GCRM have been really supportive and helpful throughout my journey. There are some reviews here about communication, but anytime I’ve sent a message to them on the portal I’ve received a quick response.
“Grateful for the Care and Support from TFP GCRM Glasgow Fertility!”
A huge thank you to everyone at TFP GCRM Glasgow Fertility. I had a wonderful experience and felt really cared for and supported throughout my journey.
“Grateful for GCRM’s Support: 14 Weeks Pregnant Thanks to Their Excellent Care!”
GCRM have been amazing from start to finish, we were lucky enough to have success with our second round. Their communication is great and are really quick in getting back to you with any queries or concerns. I would like to thank Maureen one of the nurses for always putting me at ease and for making my experience so much nicer. Also Marco for both my transfers and speaking us through everything so thoroughly on our initial consultation. Both staff members where stand out and made out experience so much better. I am now 14 weeks pregnant and couldn’t be happier.
“Maureen: A Patient and Kind Nurse Who Made All the Difference!”
Maureen is a fantastic nurse. Extremely patient and kind, couldn’t have done it without her.
“Extremely Disappointing Customer Service Left Me Frustrated”
Horrible customer service… the lady was talking to me like I was an imbecile…superior and arrogant tone saying that if you want to use private services you have to pay TODAY… She offered me an appointment in one month I called back to reschedule to other location and Edinburgh and she just cut me off I’m sorry we can’t help, but now reading the reviews from clinic in Edinburgh makes sense to me. Just ruined my day…🥹😔
