I had a zoom appointment with the doctor here and was told that my fiance and I need to do some blood work for genetic testing to make sure there are no dominant genetic diseases. We had the blood work done and a few months later I’m stuck with a $650 bill! I am in no way prepared to pay such high bill and my financial adviser is no where to be found and no one returns my calls. This was so unexpected and no one even bothered to tell me that if my insurance doesn’t cover this blood test, how much I have to pay! I would have never agreed to this test. This is daytime rubbery

Dr. Doyle and his team, especially nurse Effie, have always been calm, knowledgeable, reachable and supportive. Without their support, we wouldn’t go through the unpredictable and stressful treatment journey and reach the happy ending of this journey.

Shame on you, Dr. Doyle. As one of the creators of the Assure Program, you know that this program is not made available to women who actually need it. The Assure Program claims to offer women the opportunity to pay a flat rate in order to retrieve 20 or 30 eggs, or undergo 4 or 5 retrievals, whichever comes first. However I was told that I do not qualify for this program because my AMH is too low (and possibly other test results related to having low ovarian reserves). I’m 37 and I did one retrieval at another fertility clinic which only resulted in 6 mature eggs able to be frozen. Given the expense of egg freezing, I was relieved to find out about Shady Grove’s Assure Program. However, after I submitted several forms, updated some of my bloodwork and met with one of their doctors via a telehealth visit, I was informed that I did not qualify. My emotions were already heightened because of the stress of learning that I had low ovarian reserves. Finding Shady Grove’s Assure Program seemed like a glimmer of hope. Thus, learning that I did not qualify for the program was very upsetting. I understand that Shady Grove is a business and that it’s more costly for them to have patients participate in their Assure Program who actually need all 4 or 5 cycles. However, that’s why these women are looking for some type of assurance. It’s costly for the patient to undergo multiple egg retrieval rounds, and many women with low ovarian reserves will want to do multiple cycles in order to bank a good number of eggs that will hopefully lead to a baby. For a fertility clinic to advertise an Assure Program but restrict patient admittance to only those who most likely will not need assurance (multiple egg retrieval rounds) it is deceptive and cruel. Fertility is a sensitive issue. Perhaps the most sensitive of all issues as there is no greater love than that of a parent for their child. Dr. Doyle and Shady Grove Fertility, shame on you.

UPDATE: Dr. Doyle’s response to my review is once again deceptive. Shady Grove only makes their Assure Program available to patients that will not lose them money. If that isn’t true, then why was I told that the reason I was not admitted into the program is because my AMH is too low? I got 6 eggs in one retrieval, so at that rate I should most likely need 4 retrievals to get about 20 eggs. Other than having low ovarian reserves, there is nothing that makes me medically ineligible to undergo more egg retrieval rounds.

Like I said earlier, I understand that Shady Grove is a business. But the way you are running your business is dishonest.

Dr. Doyle is a compassionate and knowledgeable doctor who, along with his nurse Amanda and the SGF team, helped me and my husband successfully navigate our fertility journey. Dr. Doyle truly listened to me and always welcomed my questions. He never made me feel bad or embarrassed about asking questions. He clearly explained treatment options and is an effective communicator. I would not hesitate to recommend him to friends or family.

Dr. Doyle and Nurse Amanda have been absolutely incredible throughout my IVF journey. After struggling for three years with unsuccessful treatments at another center, my husband and I were almost ready to give up hope. However, our friend’s recommendation led us to Dr. Doyle, and it turned out to be a life-changing decision. From the moment we met Dr. Doyle, his genuine concern and thorough understanding of our situation were evident. He patiently listened to our concerns, answered our questions, and presented us with clear options. Switching to Dr. Doyle for our IVF process was undoubtedly the best choice we could have made. His professionalism, warmth, and care made the daunting journey feel more manageable, and it’s no exaggeration to say that he helped turn our dream of parenthood into reality with our successful first transfer. Nurse Amanda Fraser deserves special recognition for her unwavering support and accessibility. I recommend Dr. Doyle to anyone navigating the IVF journey.

I will come back with details in a few months. Dr. Doyle is up to date with research and findings in the field. His decisions are always backed by experience and research. He is not your average doctor.

Before choosing a doctor, I do a lot of research on them and this is the best doctor my wife and I have had in our journey. I will recommend Dr. Doyle without even thinking twice, he is the best.

I just recently was discharged. I have had a long journey with this process. Dr. Doyle was my last stop by the time I got to SGF, I knew I wanted to use a donor embryo. Everything I had been told to this point was that it would be very easy to do that because I did not have any issues carrying a pregnancy unfortunately, I had three unsuccessful attempts. I truly only was because of Dr. Doyle that I kept going. His patience and kindness and willingness to solve problems were unmatched. If I could have created my perfect RE complete with intelligence, experience, skill, bedside manner, compassion, and empathy, I would not have been able to create someone as good as Dr. Doyle actually is. He is truly the perfect person for this type of work. I cannot say enough positive things about him I am now almost 10 weeks pregnant. He has been a blessing beyond any I could have imagined. Tina and Marina We’re both extraordinary nurses throughout my time here. So responsive and caring at all times… I would recommend this clinic to anyone.

My husband and I are incredibly grateful to be working with Dr Doyle. In our first virtual appointment with Dr Doyle, he answered our questions, provided very informative information, and setup very realistic plan for us. He made us feel comfortable and hopeful.
