What to watch out for at Unidad de Reproducción Asistida HLA Inmaculada?
- Lack of Empathy and Understanding
Various reviews express disappointment over the lack of empathy shown by certain staff members, particularly during sensitive moments like failed treatments or negative pregnancy results. Patients feel that emotional support is lacking, contributing to a distressing experience during what is typically a very vulnerable time. - Inconsistent Communication
Criticism is directed towards the clinic's communication practices, particularly following unsuccessful procedures. Instances of patients not receiving expected follow-up calls or clarity on treatment outcomes can leave individuals feeling isolated and frustrated. - Concerns About Treatment Quality
There are significant concerns raised regarding the quality of treatment, especially in cases involving egg donation, where patients often highlight low fertilization rates contrary to initial expectations set by the medical team. Such discrepancies can lead to a sense of betrayal among patients who are seeking hope and results. - Perceived Financial Motivations
Some reviews suggest that the clinic prioritizes financial gain over patient care, citing examples where patients felt their hopes were exploited in favor of profitability. This perception can seriously undermine trust in the clinic's intentions. - Mixed Staff Attitudes
Feedback indicates discrepancies among staff attitudes, with some being described as attentive and supportive while others came across as indifferent or stressed. This inconsistency could lead to a variable patient experience, where care depends heavily on whom the patient interacts with.
10 latest reviews of Unidad de Reproducción Asistida HLA Inmaculada
Our experience with the clinic has been very good. In our case we had just gone through a very long process, we came from another city and another clinic and after several failed attempts we decided to stop for a while and do it at this clinic. At all times the treatment has been unbeatable from Sonia, who is a delight and helps you in everything and at any time you need her, to the team of nurses (Toñi and Patricia) and to the laboratory team headed by Paloma who calls you to give you such news. expected about how your eggs are evolving. And what to say about the medical team. I want to make special mention of Dr. Estefanía, I have no words to thank her for the closeness, care, kindness and treatment she has given us. In the end, in our case, we have achieved it and it has not been easy at all, but if you find a team that supports you and advises you, everything goes better. Thank you.
I wanted to share my gratitude with Dr. Rocío, after blindfolding, we reached out to her thinking that my problem was autoimmune (due to my medical history). With their professionalism and empathy we discovered what may be the biggest culprit of our infertility and it has nothing to do with what we suspected.
On a negative note, some of the staff seem very stressed.
Very professional and very good treatment. I recommend them.
“My IVF Experience Was Disheartening Due to Lack of Empathy and Poor Care”
IVF is not an exact science: there are times it can go well, there are times it can go wrong. It depends on infinite factors that, in most cases, are beyond control.
What is not logical or normal is that, knowing the emotional burden that all these types of processes entail, in this clinic they totally lack empathy, humanity, and understanding. With the exception of one nurse, Soledad, who was always loving and kind to us, the rest of the staff leaves a lot to be desired.
In our case, the experience was bad from start to finish. At first, very good expectations, which little by little disappeared. In order not to go into details (I will keep those to take the legal measures that of course we will take), I will only indicate that the only embryo that remained alive after having obtained 28 follicles, which also calls into question the good work of the laboratory, I knowing that, after the time stipulated for its thawing, it had not continued dividing, and was not a viable embryo for fertilization. But what happens? If they had not been able to transfer it to me (TWO HOURS AND A HORRIBLE BLEEDING TO MAKE A TRANSFER THAT FROM MINUTE 0 IT WAS KNOWN WOULD NOT BE FRUITFUL) they would not have charged the entire amount. Because for them, that’s the only important thing.
I took my beta, which was obviously negative, and to this day, NO ONE has been able to call me, not even to tell me the result (Seeing that they didn’t call me, I downloaded it from a website), or to see what had happened. could have happened, not even to give us a few words of encouragement after this disastrous result. NOBODY. TWO YEARS have passed since then, and I’m still waiting for a call. We put our hope and dreams in the hands of people who care nothing about your life or your emotions. They only care about getting paid.
Thanks to the good work and professionalism of the Avantia clinic, which is located a few meters from it, today I am able to write this review with my child at my side, who was conceived on the first try, with impeccable treatment, and without any type of complication, thanks to a team of excellent professionals who understand the physical and mental importance of this type of process.
“I Had a Positive Experience with a Caring and Professional Team”
We have been with our process for almost a year and they have been excellent professionals at all times. Regardless of the result (which has been positive), the path has been complicated, but accompanied and guided at all times.
I chose this unit because I didn’t feel like they were “selling” a treatment (as happened to me in other places) and that’s how it has been at all times, prioritizing the best for us without thinking about the economy.
Highly recommended, wonderful and professional team.
“Don’t Trust This Clinic: My Disheartening Experience with Egg Donation”
DO NOT GO TO THIS CLINIC. They told my wife and I that the best thing in our case was egg donation, since in her case they were going to get very few eggs and it would be a waste of money and that with egg donation there were many guarantees that quality eggs would be fertilized. After going through the entire process of genetic grief and so on, we made the decision to start it. The search for the (vitrified) eggs was disastrous, since of the batch of 8, only two remained fertilized on the second day. The biologists told us that the result was very low, that around 60% were usually fertilized, that perhaps the donor had not arrived in good condition. Given that and seeing the few opportunities that we were going to have, we expressed our concern and disagreement with that egg cycle and the bad results and that we do not want them. The receptionist tells us (after becoming defensive and being 0 empathetic) that we shouldn’t get ahead of ourselves, that maybe they will arrive safely on the fifth day (blastocyst, which is the state they should arrive at to make the transfer) and that if they don’t arrive or if Only one of us would talk to give us a solution. On the fourth day (morula state) they told my wife to transfer a good embryo according to them and another in worse condition that would surely be lost (although 15 minutes before the biologist concealed that information from us). that one was bad. With this they clean their hands, since they have laid two embryos… yes, two, but in that way, one being bad and on day 4 instead of day 5. When doing the test pregnancy 10 days later it comes out negative as expected and they already ignore everything and on top of that they have the shame to say that they have done their job well. They also charged us 900 euros (in black) for a supposed medication for the donor, the one. which had been of no use given the results…and on top of that we later learned that when they are vitrified eggs there is usually no charge for any medication…we should also add that the first moment in which we are given advance notice that Maybe they don’t get anything on the morning we had made the payment and left the semen sample. WHAT A COINCIDENCE…
In short…they are SCAMMERS who play with your money and what is worse with your illusions and make you stay destroyed.
Add that two of the 5-star reviews that you can find here are from two of their workers (Sonia García Cortina and María Soledad Moreno Sánchez), which seems like another deception to me, since the people who rate them should only be patient.
Deceived and Disappointed: My Frustrating Experience with Egg Donation Treatment
In assisted reproduction there are so many things at stake that I think the treatment should be impeccable. And this has been the case for some people on the reproduction team at this hospital, but not by far all of them. My partner and I have felt deceived and scammed. We underwent egg donation treatment, which was recommended to me due to my low ovarian reserve. They told me that doing IVF would be a waste of money because we would most likely not get quality eggs. Well, in theory with 8 good quality eggs since they are from someone young ONLY TWO EGGS WERE FERTILIZED, that is what we obtained from the beginning. So that week we already collapsed. At no time had they told us that this could happen. They tried to reassure us by saying that if none of us made it to day 5, they would give us a cycle. But they never waited until day 5. They transferred the two embryos to me (one of them they thought would not reach day 5 due to the evolution it was having, that’s how the doctor expressed it to me) on day 4, morula phase. Our beta came out negative and we were prepared for that, we knew that it could happen, that it was probable. What we never thought was that after undergoing this process where you have to go through genetic grief and losing our savings, the clinic will not be responsible for your EGGS. They deceived us, they were not of good quality, why is it not normal that, being from someone young, only 2 out of 8 were able to fertilize. I do not know what treatment the girl received, it seems that none even though I did pay (in black, I do not know I could transfer €900 for this. Anyway, I could write more things but I’ll leave it here. My summary would be 0 responsibility, 0 empathy for this unit.
