Fertility treatment is one of the most emotional journeys anyone can go through — and sadly, Thames Valley Fertility made ours far more stressful than it ever should have been.

After a successful first embryo transfer, we returned with trust and hope for our second. Despite asking to follow the same protocol, Dr. Chun chose to change it without a clear explanation, and communication throughout was poor. I was placed on an unusually high dose of progesterone far too early, which likely disrupted ovulation and the implantation window. A private scan confirmed I hadn’t ovulated properly, and several second opinions from reputable clinics in the UK and abroad agreed that our embryo never had a fair chance.

The worst part was the response when we raised our concerns. Dr. Chun was dismissive, defensive, and even suggested we move our embryos to another clinic — simply because we asked questions. There was no apology, no ownership, and no compassion. It was heartbreaking and dehumanizing.

Only when we were eventually treated by Dr. Vlismas — a doctor who actually listened, cared, and followed the correct protocol — did we finally feel supported. Thanks to him and the embryology team, we now hold our second baby boy.

This clinic is a gamble. If you’re lucky, you’ll get a doctor who listens. If not, you may end up feeling silenced, dismissed, and emotionally shattered. There is a serious lack of communication, accountability, and patient-centered care. I would not recommend this clinic to anyone who values trust, transparency, and being treated with dignity on such a vulnerable journey.

The fertility journey is deeply personal and unique to each couple, but one thing that remains constant is the outstanding care and support we received from this clinic. From the reception staff to the patient support team, nurses, and doctors, every interaction has been marked by kindness, consistency, and genuine compassion.

There are so many individuals who went above and beyond for us, but two who truly stood out were Nurse Kellie—an absolute rockstar—and Dr. Kausar, whose dedication and attentiveness made all the difference in our experience. We wholeheartedly recommend this clinic to anyone seeking fertility treatment. You’ll be in excellent hands.

I cannot express enough gratitude to the incredible team. From the moment I walked through their doors, I was met with kindness, compassion, and professionalism. Every doctor, nurse, and staff member took the time to make me feel comfortable and informed throughout the entire process.

This journey was not always easy, but having such a supportive team made all the difference. Thanks to their dedication and expertise, dream of becoming a parent has finally come true. Our experience with TFP maidenhead was amazing. Everyone one at clinic including reception and patientcare team were so welcoming, helpful and considerate. Matt (manager at the clinic) is such a great and helpful person and you can see the chain affect in the whole team. Every single midwife at the clinic is exceptional( can’t name all the lovely ladies here), they understand what you are going though and guide you accross though the highs and lows of treatment and make everything bearable. My consultant Dr Antonios Vlismas is best and dedicated consultant in the clinic, he understood our requirements and guided and helped us to get best outcome. Embryology team is kind and understanding and values you concerns and answers every Question you might need answers for.
The best thing is no one in the clinic unnecessarily want to increase your bill, you are treated as human, not as a paycheck and don’t want to cash out your desperation for wanting to have a child of your own like some other clinics do.
Five stars are too less to describe the quality of the service here you will receive.

I went to TFP Maidenhead branch to do my pre-treatment blood tests and the Nursing staff were absolutely brilliant – most especially Kelly, she is a miracle worker! Hospitals and clinics normally have such a difficult time finding my veins and doing extractions- Kelly stayed overtime just to support me and she got my samples in one go! She is truly amazing!! 5-stars for the incredible support!

We undertook a number of cycles without success, but had certainly left things rather late having been advised of around a 5% success rate. After around 4 cycles we then proceeded with a donor egg, with a 50% success rate. The first cycle was not success, the second has been are we are now around 26 weeks pregnant. TVF did a great job, the staff really were all excellent. The only adverse, if unsurprising points, would be to expect a long range of unexpected bills for the medication and repetitive training modules (not a big deal in the long term, but quite a pain at the time), and despite hours of training sessions next events always seemed something of a surprise or related to points not covered (abstinence periods, max and min, for male samples for the IVF process for example – so do ask those questions to be clear), I tended to get the feeling that the staff were so familiar with the process the lower level details didn’t need to be flagged to the patients. The donor egg was a difficult decision, and took us a while to get to, but offered a substantial change in success rates, hard to get to but worth early discussion in the process.

Finally getting around to writing this review now our son is 2 weeks old! Highly recommend this clinic, it is such a emotive process to go through and the staff were kind and supportive throughout. We found it useful to ask when updates could be expected. We got to know lots of the staff and Sam in particular made us giggle throughout! We felt very welcome as a same sex couple.
