I am a new patient of Dr. Londra. I am at the beginning of my journey but one thing I don’t like is how hard it is to get a hold of the billing department. This truly drives me insane. I’ve seen several reviews with this same complaint. So whoever is reading these reviews, instead of replying to everyone with the same response, how about you take action. Management needs to make this a priority. This is important to me and everyone else I am sure. I will update my review as I have more to have an opinion on!
Have had nothing but positive experiences with all of the staff here, including the folks who do labs. My doctor and nurse were wonderful, with my nurse, Dana, always responding to my emails quickly and with compassion.
The care and attention I received as a patient here at ORM greatly exceeded my expectations. Our doctor is Dr. Rossi but we have also had interactions with the others in the practice and always felt taken care of and listened to during procedures. Dr. Rossi was great, and I appreciated how personalized and thorough our plan of care was. Even when results weren’t what was ideal, we always felt like things were explained to us and that our needs and wants were listened to. Nobody wants to have to go through this whole experience of infertility at all, and navigating through all the layers was so hard but made much more manageable because we chose this clinic.
The team here makes you feel like a person and not a number. I am grateful for my experience with Dr Rossi and her team being very frank with us and our odds. Because of our/my collective experience we have referred family and friends to also seek treatment and guidance here. Words and not express our gratitude for the compassion and care we received, I am still struggling with that articulation of thankfulness.
So happy to work with the kind and helpful staff!
Can you donate eggs at this clinic?
Excellent clinic and staff. Worked with Dr.
Rossi and her nurses Miranda and Coryn and they were incredibly communicative via phone, email, and messaging. Would
recommend them to anyone đ
Not impressed. Would not recommend anyone going here. Billing staff kept not billing my insurance and Id have huge bills left over. They conveniently finalized sending the claims AFTER I left so I would keep coming. Although its perfectly legal, it’s so unethical and they took advantage of my desperation. Also, I could sense my doctor was profiling me and judging me from the first visit on. I am a clinician and can pick up on nonverbals really well, so its not me making this up. Please save yourself the heartache, and do not go here.
I had called in attempting to schedule a new patient appointment. They did not answer my phone call. I tried calling five separate times. When I finally received a call back, I spoke with Jennifer and she was anything but friendly. When I asked for a Saturday or a Sunday appointment because the hours state they are open, I was told ânoâ. There was no explanation provided. The only reason my husband and I selected this company for fertility treatments is because they are open on Saturdays and Sundays, according to their hours. I feel as though my entire experience dealing with them was handled super unprofessional. The website does not seem to be well organized and their hours are not correct. Not to mention, they donât answer the phones. Infertility is an extremely sensitive issue So you would think they would have somebody friendly to answer the phones, especially for new patients. I am very disappointed in my initial experience and I didnât even decide to go with this company.
I have been with ORM for 4.5 years now and my overall experience has not been ideal. Going through infertility is hard enough to add on all of the stress from this institution makes it even worse. We went through a lot with ORM (medicated cycles at the beginning, 3 IUIs, and 4 rounds of IVF, 1 fresh transfer, and 1 frozen transfer). A lot of mistakes and miscommunication come with working with ORM. The biggest issues weâve had with them include telling all staff including our doctor how we wanted our gender of our embryo kept hidden from us and then getting the report of the embryo sent to us with the gender on it, that was very upsetting to us.
During one of our egg retrievals, we get to the office and they send my husband away with a pain medication prescription and tell him to go get it filled for me. While I am in the egg retrieval, he goes to multiple pharmacies in the area and a bunch of them are not even open because it was in the morning and the ones that were open would not fill it because it was a narcotic prescription and it obviously wasnât in his name. If they canât have pain medications at the office for patients after procedures they should plan that ahead of time and figure out a better plan by maybe giving the script to the actual patient before the procedure so Iâm not stuck alone after another heart breaking retrieval and I didnât even need the medicine anyway.
After deciding we wanted to transfer our only frozen embryo, we were initially told it was ok to transfer. Next time we discussed with our doctor, things had changed and said our embryo was no longer âsuitable for transfer.â That didnât sit right with us so we did our own research (like we had to do with everything with the facility and infertility journey), and reached out to genetic counselors and they said it was definitely ok to transfer once they educated us on what the genetic predisposition of our embryo was. We were potentially going to lose a chance at having another child due to them not being educated on the most up to date research.
Our doctor was very nice but it was also hard to get direct answers from her. Seemed like when we would ask the âhard questions,â she would not ever give us an answer and would talk in circles never giving us actual answers.
There are also many miscommunications along the way with billing, procedures, etc.
Half of the time billing doesnât get back to you and you have to constantly call back or email and still takes forever to get a person on the phone. Watch your bills closely. In our case, you have to pay upfront a large lump sum before they do the procedure such as egg retrieval, transfer, etc. and they tell you that covers everything for the process. And in the list of what is covered when you pay your deposit they state certain tests that you wonât be getting done and when asked they tell you âwell thatâs just how it is.â This last time we are getting charged for services I was told multiple times were included in our original deposit for our transfer and guess who got a bill in the mailâŠ
Overall, when using this institution during your infertility journey make sure you are triple checking everything, expect miscommunications, and extra bills. We were lucky enough to have a child through our time with ORM but it was not easy and a lot of stress and mistakes have happened that looking back I feel could of been prevented.
