Appointment canceled 4 days in advance by the clinic because the questionnaire was not available. When we made the appointment by phone, we were told that we definitely wanted to keep the appointment, but that we had no way of filling out the questionnaires on our cell phone. Even when we made an appointment by phone, I was informed in advance that the appointment was important and that the windows were tight for us because my husband was regularly on Mondays and I had to take vacation for that, and it was only possible for us on Fridays every two weeks, with great effort.

Canceled appointment already reassigned to someone else on the same day.

Then another fertility center will earn money from us. Absolutely unprofessional. Nowhere else is it a hurdle to fill out a questionnaire on site, or at least when there is a lot of money involved, it is technically so advanced that forms can be filled out…

Overall, the advice was disappointing – superficial, incomplete and unhelpful. You had to laboriously ask for important information yourself instead of it being conveyed proactively and understandably. The conversations seemed rushed and standardized, almost like an assembly line. In addition, the most expensive treatment was pointed out right from the start, without transparent information about alternative options covered by statutory health insurance. In retrospect, it turns out that there were definitely other options – a clear indication of a lack of information and competence. Unfortunately not recommended in my opinion.

I’ve been silent about this incident for a long time, but I’m finally ready to talk about it and, above all, to warn everyone about seeing a doctor!

An ultrasound was to be done at my second appointment at the clinic. Since we were still stimulating at my gynecologist during the cycle, they also looked for cysts and found one. Once out of 5 cycles, the follicle didn’t rupture despite Ovitrelle, because of course a control US was always done at my gynecologist. In any case, Ms. P. took this as an opportunity to become very insulting, even while the US staff was still inside me, that I shouldn’t have any hope that I would never become a mother like that and in general, how I even imagine becoming a mother like that, that I wouldn’t do anything good for a child with a fat mother.

I have no problem when people tell me I’m too fat (I’ve now lost -40.5kg), but the manner is so important!

Then, of course, I started crying. Then Mrs. P. immediately concluded that I was far too emotionally unstable to be a mother. Well, I would find it rather strange if you didn’t cry when your biggest dream was taken away from you and you were humiliated half-naked.

This incident meant that I didn’t dare go to a KiWu clinic for a whole 2(!) years. 2 years that we have now lost. And no matter who I told the story to without the name of the doctor, everyone immediately knew who it was about. Very telling or not?

First of all: Thanks to the clinic, we have been holding our miracle in our arms since last year.
All in all we were very satisfied with the clinic!! I still have some points of criticism. It was a shame that we only had one or two appointments with the original doctor during each attempt. We felt very comfortable with this and others. With a female doctor, however, not at all (it started with a certain “language barrier” and other things).
I would have liked to see more research into the cause of failed inseminations and IVFs. No examinations at all, just what felt like a routine course of treatment.
I can recommend that everyone read as much as possible beforehand. Especially in the area of ​​nutrition and supplementation (an important factor that most doctors generally do not address).

We have had two attempts in this KWZ and we are of course aware that there are no guarantees or even a high chance of success, but we would like to report the following:
The communication, especially when you have a lot of questions as an ignorant person, is absolutely one-sided and unhelpful with some of the doctors. Obviously the appointments are very tight and you don’t even have time for individual questions.

As a patient, you want to do everything right and then question seemingly contradictory statements from the doctors, but you are left alone.
On the first try we did everything as requested. After the transfer, pregnancy was confirmed by blood test 2 weeks later. Unfortunately, everything went wrong after that.
From now on, the KWZ was my contact person; You couldn’t even consult because the first thing the attending physician said when they discovered the failed pregnancy was, “Didn’t they tell you that you should have increased your thyroid medication?” The values ​​are not good for pregnancy.”
Nobody had brought this to our attention.
On the second attempt there was suddenly a different dose of medication that you had to take before and after the transfer than the first time. When we asked, we were told that this was the normal dose and that this is how we always do it. Nobody wanted to hear that other doses were written down in Experiment 1.

This is obviously just about driving the rate up, because from the moment the pregnancy is confirmed after 2 weeks, the positive statistics are guaranteed. Unfortunately, the risky problems only come after this period.

And at no point was it informed that an operation might be necessary after a failed attempt. A scraping was never discussed. But that’s how it happened. And that is an absolutely intense psychological burden to be left alone with. Instead, the transfer and the positive test are sold to you as if that were the final success. Unfortunately, this is only for the statistics of the clinic.

Inquiries by telephone were hardly possible, the waiting times often lasted 30 minutes or longer and when people got through, no information was given.

We received tons of invoices that were almost impossible to understand; when we asked how many more were coming, they couldn’t give us any information. Bills kept coming over a period of over 6 months on the first attempt. Information about this is zero. Transparency is zero. And yes, it was clear that it would be expensive, but it’s about the type of communication.

You feel like you’re in mass processing. You have to know that the people who are looking for help there are nervous, insecure and overwhelmed and may sometimes not have simple things on their radar. Absolutely no consideration is given to this. But of course it’s also easy to say “you should have known that” when 3 doctors have 5 different opinions and you can’t prove anything afterwards.

This literally plays on the desperation of people who cannot have children naturally. That’s sad.

We then went to three gynecologists, who all confirmed to us that not taking thyroid values ​​into account and the different medications were incorrect and contributed to it; that termination occurred after/during implantation.
